Just mho, and SO not a big deal. Merely commenting on the topic at hand.
And let's play nice, this is an interesting discussion and I'd hate for a mod to lock it.

Well, Soris is a wimp.
Sure he whine a little and scared of this & that...but
Brave enough to run into a human lord's castle slaughter people left & right with nothing but his elf friend and some simple weapon = Wimp? What?

I was just joking in reference to the comment about him not being able to handle 2H weapons. 2H Elves are always kinda funny but picturing Soris with one, he just doesn't look like he would be strong enough. I gave him a mace and a wooden shield and a leather cap, he was adequately effective but goofy looking, so that's my impression of Soris.

When Zathrian starts whining about his long dead children, I really wanted the option to say something like "They raped my cousin and killed my husband on our wedding day. I killed the man responsible. My vengeance is over. This needs to end as well."
So, so this. Perhaps some snotty comment about how you didn't even have to curse his entire family to unending torment and corrupt a spirit, to boot.

I kept that particular human noble alive, so that when I found him in the dungeon later, my City Elf could pull out the Knife of Extreme Cutscene Death on him.
Yes, she is that cold.

I see, lol. Yes Soris is usually goofy looking, a cap, armor and no shoes...and his face...

Anyone else wipe out the werewolves because of this origin? Dark, epic RPG!!!
Yup. I broke the curse then killed them while they were defenseless. I figured that someone who went through what Zathrian did would not let the rapist/murder werewolves live. Guess I should have killed them before ending the curse. I just wanted it to sting them a bit more. Also, Zathrian was a little creepy anyway.

And yes, it was a rather strong introduction to the game - my wife who started playing the origin was so moved that she proceeded to kill every human male she could pull the murder knife on... yet ironically she still ended up with Alistair, *shrug*.
That made me lol'd

My other issue is how she reacted. She's in shock when you find her, but recovers far too quickly for me to see it as real. I'm not sure I can even understand her being as normal as she is when you encounter her later in the game. As I understand it, being raped is something that screws with your mind for a very, very long time. Shianni is mostly over it by the time you leave, which doesn't fit with what I've heard about real-life rape victims.
As I think someone else mentioned I can only guess that it's because Shianni was a very strong willed woman and had to motivate herself to the point where she could help others. The world was falling apart really with their elders and miscellaneous people starting to disappear around them.

Presumably, elves are raped (or at least tortured, exploited, etc.) constantly by at least some members of the human elite. It seems unlikely that law intervenes on their behalf very often.
In a world where the above is true - where rape is a matter of course - I don't think it's unreasonable that at least some women are able to push the pain away. Probably it bubbles up, and probably they still feel it, but the ability to hide it when you've accepted it as an inevitability long ago is not so far-fetched.
As for the nudity issue, someone already mentioned the answer. Skirt hiked up, smallclothes shoved to the side, etc. There was nothing sensual about what was going on there; it was a power trip. I would have expected maybe some tearing, but there aren't models/textures in the game for torn dresses.
