Let's get right to it! With all the character appreciation threads, I thought it would be interesting to mix in a little spite. A roast, if you will, for those times where we would like to confront even our most beloved of characters for moments of idiocy, douchebaggy-ness, etc.

Please keep it civil! This is not a thread to all out flame certain characters, just a place to share where we wish we could have renegade/paragon interrupted a character to put them in their place. Even characters who we generally really enjoy.

One example I have is right after recruiting Thane. While I don't hate Jacob (basically indifferent about him), I genuinely wish I could have just told him to shut up and deal with it. My Paragon Shepard wanted to tell him he trusts an assassin by his back more than Cerberus.

Discuss!!^_^

Every single time some azzhat on my squad forget's that my Shepard's possible future husband was just murdered. And everytime Kaidan and Liara hit on her. And every time Kaidan brings out that "cheating" line. And everytime Kaidan does his all "Cerberus traitor" routine with Shepard.

Because.

First because a friend would have stopped to help the man who his friend was in love with. Hell, SHEPARD should have stopped to help him, and sent everyone else after Kai.
Second because Their friend was just murdered. After living with each other for the entirety of ME2, someone shuld have remembered he existed.
Third because Kaiden mentions in the "Lie" option of the "cheating" dialogue that EVERYONE knew about Shepard and Thane, and so did Liara from her dialogue in LotSB. Yet they still continually try to get in her pants immediately after Thane died (and he was my Shep's LI, if you can't tell.)
And finally: IT WASN"T CHEATING! Kaidan abandoned Shepard. Plain and simple. He should havebeen BEGGING for forgiveness after that Horizon stunt, yet he still, continually makes Shepard out to be the bad guy for just doing what she had to do to stop the collectors. He was just an idiot who couldn't see the bigger picture.

Sorry if I'm sounding angry. I think I just got dumped via fb. He wasn't very clear on the subject. Bastard.

The first that comes to mind is when Chakwas of all people basically says that EDI and Legion are "just machines". What the hell, woman?!

Also Tali, in ME2, giving Jacob a death glare after he mentions "the ship's AI" (EDI). It was an unfortunate remark, sure, but I didn't like how she immediately jumped to conclusions there, about Cerberus and everyone affiliated with the organization. A shame the game didn't present you the option to call her out on it.

Javik...every time he started talking about what his people would do when it came to fighting the reapers or trying to tell my Shepard what he would do in a certain situation Shepard just went through...I so just want to put him in his place.

When Liara demanded to go down to Thessia. She was obviously emotionally vulnerable at that point and I wanted to tell her to back off and let the big boys handle this. Was made worse when she had to be given all of this support after it was over. You're crying?! Hello! Earth is burning, Palaven is burning, who knows what the hell is going on over on Dekuuna, Irune, or Kahje. Your homeworld isn't the only one being destroyed. Did we not just go through the horrific and unfair loss with Kai Leng and Shepard almost dying again?! Yet half the ship is like "oh, poor Liara!"

The only redeeming part of that whole thing is when Javik is trolling her. First playthrough I stopped him. The second time I let it play out with no interrupts. But gosh at that point I just wanted to throw her out the airlock!!!

This so much! Liara is so agravating on Thessia.
The disbelief in her voice; how she can't even conceive the asari could suffer along with everyone else; how she can't fight Banshees while calling Husks monsters.

I really wanted to throw the VS out of the airlock in ME3. I really liked Ash and Kaidan in ME1 but then ME2 and 3 made their defining character trait "doesn't trust Shepard".

I took too long to post, so I saw yours after the fact. I don't hate Liara, but sheesh she's always there! Glad others share such an opinion.

That too, their constant questioning....Hello! Shep was under House Arrest, how they hell could s/he have contacted Cerberus? And they pretty much accuse you of still working for TIM, even if you told him to suck it and destroyed the Collector base. And, no, Shep isn't some kind of Husk - it's pretty damn obvious! Also, SHEP WAS DEAD - DEAD. Not sitting back for two years sipping Serrice Ice Brandy! DEAD - how many times and by how many people do you have to be told this?

Liara, for so many reasons. Let's start with the fact that she is the Shadow Broker. She knew in ME2, that my Shep was all over Thane. Come ME3, she makes some comment about how she knew Thane and Shep were close once (this is if you romanced her) and mind you this is after I did the make out scene in the hospital with Thane. Hmmmm....not a very good SB if you can't see what is right under your nose. Thessia, I didn't want to take her because it was her home. Her emotional state leaves her as a liability but I had no choice. And I paid for it in irritation with her whining the whole time, good thing I brought Javik to lighten up the mood. Let's go back to after Thane died, she talks to me and goes on about her dead mother. Oh yay! She's been dead how long now and Shep's LI just died. Airlock City, one way trip.

Garrus, you are my Shep's brother but when you brought up Ashley at the death wall after Thane just died, I wanted to vent you. Ashley had been dead for years now.

Jacob, right after I recruited Thane and he got his panties in a bunch. Oh, I did vent him. Nevermind.

Joker when he says, "I'm not losing another Normandy." Thanks you are a real pal, I got spaced saving your azz and this is the return sentiment.

And Thane, yes Thane, there was a fleeting moment when Shepard wanted to take her shoe off and whack him in the back of the head. His loyalty mission. He would get a little uppity with Shep if she was taking her sweet time on the catwalks. Listen Thane, this is YOUR son, don't get all pissy with me. Let's not forget what you do for a living. Wouldn't you be better suited up in these catwalks than Shepard? But nooooo..... we'll get there, don't you worry about it. I punched the poor dude up there because I was irritated with Thane's constant, "Don't lose him, stay close Shepard" and his stern tone of voice.

a Good one came across my mind. I think just about all will agree with me on this

ME3 - Liara's Mother, Matarich Aethya or watever her name is

ME2, she was cool. She was fun to talk to. But in ME3, the entire conversation was sour. Also did anyone else notice how she looked completely different???

Especially in the beginning of the Mars mission. I don't remember what Kaidan said, but Ashley's "I need to know the truth, Shepard", suddenly acting all hurt, is aggravating. And just before that, when the group discovers that Cerberus is attacking the station, she first implies that Shepard somehow knew about it and when Shepard denies it, says "that you have got to admit that it sure is convenient". Ugh, how annoying can you get? I think it was BioWare's intention to make you feel bad because Ashley/Kaidan almost get killed at the end of the mission, but I had more trouble with putting down the woman who finally made them shut up. I wanted to thank her.

I also get annoyed by Wrex whenever he blames all the Turians in the galaxy for something "they" did to the Krogan. Yeah, I get it Wrex, you're pissed off about that bomb on Tsuchanka. Now tell me what the current Primarch could've done about it. It was planted more than a thousand years before the guy was born! He also does this in ME1, when he implies Garrus, at that point nothing more than a random former C-Sec investigator, was somehow responsible for the genophage. Why? Because Garrus had the nerve to to make the correct observation (near the Krogan Monument at the Presidium) that the Krogan where once the heroes of the galaxy but now simply hated and feared.

Agree about the VS and Liara on the Thessia thing.
I would've given a lot to be able to retort to Ashley when she won't get off my back on Mars.
"You know what? You can just **** off right back to Earth and find someone else to **** at. Oh wait, they're all getting turned to husks or worse, while you're jerking me around about Cerberus!"

The VS asked two questions on Mars after not seeing you for three years... and ya'll rage. I find it amusing, honestly.

"Are you a traitor?" is just one question and it's enough to make quite a few people rage. Also three years? Have you forgotten Horizon? Where oh wait a minute! she does the exact same thing?

Who said that on Mars?

They're questions, not accusations. And two at that.

Wait so an accusation to you only counts if its blantant pointing of the finger and announcing "this man is a traitor"?
You just going to ignore the subtle implications that you still work for EvilCo Cerberus and were in on the hit on Mars even though you were locked up for 6 months with no outside contact?
