Well, Javik and James showed up in last game, while EDI wasn't squadmate in previous game and can die in Destroy Ending.

Liara?

Considering that the SB's ship was in the middle of nowhere…. You know what? You must think the galaxy is a plain and boring place now that you've seen it all, huh?

…Besides, with the amount of information and resources they have at their disposal it's not impossible to find Liara somewhere else to work, or supply her with the right equipment. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t an option, when it should have been since she's 'such an important assest' and should have been working somewhere safer, instead of running around a BF.

But nope. BW just activate the plot armor. Now, the rest of us have to constantly put up with Liara's screen-hogging and her doting fashion with no way around it.

Yeah the SB ship is in the middle of nowhere with an advance communication system. Liara said she only had enough time to save the most importance systems she had.
Why did you bring me into the conversation ?
Nevermind, you would never change your mind and I don't want to do that :) Good day.

And...? It would be easy to get Liara the equipment she needs. There is more than one 'advanced communication system' in the galaxy.

That's the best you've got? Okay then.

Did you miss Liara's very own DLC dedicated to her and advancing her role despite her not even being a squadmate in ME2? Oh, a DLC which lets you continue a previous romance no less...?

Did any other love interest get a DLC? No.

Has any other character been required as a companion in TWO DLC's? ... no? Well then.

The game (Samantha) flat-out tells you Anderson intended to use the Normandy as his mobile command center. Liara's "command center" got blown up. But you're right, Liara definitely needs a better reason to be on the Normandy. Why are Vega, Garrus or Tali on the Normandy again. I thought Garrus is an expert advisor to the Turian Hierarchy and Tali is an admiral?

Point is, Garrus and Tali don't have to be on the Normandy. They are not required, or pushed in my face constantly. If they bother me, I can get rid of them If I please. I don't have to talk to Tali beyond her mission ect.

Vega is not forced in your face every second. He isn't forced at all. Unless you count his shuttle crash (which I don't).

However, Liara is.

Did you miss the part WHERE LIARA WAS NOT IN ME2 UNTIL THE DLC? Or, well, she was, but it was just a huge f— you to any Liara romancers…

“Hey, Liara my love, I‘m back from the dead for you!”

“Cool. Listen, I’ve got some stuff to do. Catch you later maybe. Call me in…hm, September? I might be able to squeeze you in.”

Hey, I’m kind of liking this start quietly AND THEN YELL MOTIF.

You get a welcome back kiss, and not a fight, that ended in a break-up. It's more than I got.

You're complaining, seriously? What you got in the end, turned out to be better and more emotional than the ME2 romances themselves.

My #1 problem with Liara: She let Kaidan suffer for 2 years.

Don't be silly. That would require making Liara out to be the bad guy and putting her in a negative spotlight for once.

Can't have that can we?

So what? She's supposed to just phone Kaidan/Ashley and say "Hey, I just handed over Shep's corpse to the Human Supremacist group that Alliance types like you hate so they can perform crazy experiements on him that might bring him back from the dead. Something that science has never been able to do before. So yeah, there's a small strand of hope on something that we all believe to be impossible. Never mind the desecration of his/her body and the fact that nobody cares what Shepard's opinion would be."

That's one thing that's funny about Synthesis haters. People bag on it because Shepard is forcing something onto people, yet nobody thinks that he was raised from the dead without his consent for the sole purpose of stopping the Cycle, by any means!

And when it all comes down it: “Because I couldn’t let you go”

Utterly selfish. Liara stalks my Shepard's life. Truly sickening. Everyone else I can tell to bugger off, or at least don't have to put up with them, but her. She's forced on us all like a bad rash CONSTANTLY.

Yeah, seriously, thinking about all those selfish people putting their lives at risk while fighting the galaxy's most dangerous information broker just to bring a friend back to life makes me want to throw up.

OH! You’re one of the crabs whose instinct is to tear the other crabs down.

Just FYI: I absolutely, 100% support adding content for all LIs, and would be happy to help/present a unified front for this effort etc. But you… yeah, you’re a crab, a bitter little person more concerned about what others have than what you have, spoiling it for everyone. Don’t need you.

Here’s a quick tip for anyone who doesn’t want Liara ‘stalking’ them:

1. Start ME2
2. Wait until you die in the cinematic.
3. The end. Liara didn’t save you, so you’re dead.
4. Problem solved!

Other crabs? Liara romancers get the best experience out of all the love interests through the whole series. I wouldn't call them unfortunate simply because they had to WAIT to get their very own DLC dedicated to their favourite character, WHICH turned out to be better than the actual ME2 romances. Three games they got. 1, 2 and 3 with excellent content that surpasses everyone else's. It's not exactly fair treatment is it? Yet she still gets pushed in everyone's face whether they like it or not in the third game. And it's just not a one time thing, is it? It's constant and unavoidable - that's what I'm getting at.

Oh, and we drop to insults. I'm a bitter little crab, eh? Because every love interest got unfair treatment in comparison with Liara and I ain't afraid to state my opinion on the matter, or voice my dislike for her being pushed in at every opportunity in 3? Okay then. Please tell me who I've spoiled the game for? Please I'm dying to know.

Doesn't solve the problem. That was pointless advice.

It just seems curious to me     as much as I like her is there some reason shes the only one through all 3 games who can never die once, while other characters can die, in some cases at 2 different points?

Because Bioware loves her far, far more than you ever will.

Seriously the next Mass Effect game will probably be called Mass Effect Liara or some ****.

I'm am so sick of her.

And its not the character's fault (though I liked her the most in ME1 and less and less in the sequels), it's Bioware trying to FORCE fans to accept her and LOVE her.  It's so cheap.

Yes, exactly. You’re a bitter crab. Instead of trying to unite to get every character the treatment they deserve — which I wholeheartedly support, and would lend whatever help I can to — your instinct is to tear down those who don’t have it quite as bad as you. Fortunately most aren’t like you.

Getting every character up to par with Liara on content and importance is never going to happen.

So sorry, I disagree with Bioware’s clear favouritism of one character over all the others.

Does that give you the right to insult me and title me a bitter crab, hmm?

You claimed I ruined it for EVERYBODY? Who is this everybody? As far I know I don't have the power to change a game already released, or affect it in any way. This is the internet and to you, I'm a poster on a public forum who can't do NOTHING but write up a post. Yeah, go attack someone else. I'll keep stating my opinion, good day.

Yes, Liara can die. But that is right near the ending, and in order for her to die - everybody else in the galaxy needs to die. You need a very low EMS score, which results in a very bad ending where everyone dies from the Crucible. Players don't want that. Who in their right mind would sacrifice so much just to kill off one character?

i thought Garrus gets let off to join the normandy. tali also decides to join the crew. if both are still alive that is and i do not remember an option to tell them to stay where they accept, Tali says "i need to go with youi Shepard" or something like that and i never saw an option for g-man.
