So most of the save games we have at this point probably have us standing in front of the Galaxy Map prior to the assault on Cronos Station - where the obvious message comes up talking about 'future DLC'.

It seems reasonable to assume that the Extended Cut will be adding a few things to this mission on top of Priority: Earth. The transition between the end of Priority: Cerberus Headquarters and Priority: Earth with regards to the Reaper's transporting the Citadel to Earth is a huge issue of contention within the fanbase. 

It's probably very remote, but I was considering the possibility that BioWare will open up Miranda Lawson as a potential temporary squad-mate to accompany us on Cronos Station if she survived the mission on Sanctuary (if she survived).

Thoughts?

Miranda would add a lot to the Cerberus conflict, but since her name isn't Garrus, Liara or Tali, I doubt BioWare will care to do anything more substantial with her.
Be happy with the super cliched Sexbot, simpleton! Stop asking for a story that requires more than 5 minutes of thought put into it!

Although I was pleased with EDI's development, I wasn't 'asking' for Miranda, Grey.

They've said things along the line of "no new gameplay" in regards to the EC. This coming from arguably the biggest Miranda fanboy on this site. Like grey_wind said, her name isn't Garrus, Tali, or Liara.

I'm not sure I recall them ever saying that, Ventus and, if they did, I think it's as equally possible plans changed once they acertained the scale of the issues they were facing.

It would enrich the mission so much. Just the lack of confrontation between Miranda and Cerberus is extremely dissapointing. She could've brought so much more complexity. A final confrontation with her and TIM at his room would've been so epic.....but no. Patrick weeks said it was near to impossible to integrate a Squadmate in a past mission. Maybe further DLC. So much potential.....waisted.

People are expecting way too much of the EC. We can be happy if it fixes the ending itself, don't expect it to fix the whole game.

And dont say now that Liara got her own, she is a pet and it was intended dlc.

It would almost be like a storytelling bugfix for an omission so glaring that I have still trouble believing what I am not seeing.

I am not optimistic though.

Miranda or not, I've little doubt it will. The major narrative problems start in Priority: Cerberus Headquarters.

I wished they would have kept Thane around instead of killing him off with a disease. I really liked that character but I don't hold it against Bioware for that story decision. There are other issues I have with the game and Thane dying is ok but I liked the character and would have rather had him live.
