So... They have the N7 packs, but chose to never release them... They enjoy seeing us wasting tons and tons of credits on Specter & Premium Specter packs as we get spammed with pointless character cards instead of getting N7 weapons...

Hum... :-/

Tell me something.  Do you have friends that did the Credit Glitch?  Most every friend I made at release did said glitch.  They promptly quit once they maxed all their weapons.  I 'd rather Bioware NOT release an N7 pack because, as much as we all want it, it would end up killing the game significantly faster.

Nope. None of my friends glitch. Out of 18 friends who first played multiplayer, only 2 still play ME3 multiplayer.

I think that holding out on N7 weapons will make more people stop playing the game once they have all golds. If Bioware is putting it's bets on people who will stick around to grind on Specter & Premium Specter packs, then this game is just going to die out until they release the next multiplayer DLC pack.

Exactly, I've pretty much quite playing all together now, it's just no fun spending millions of credits for nothing... OHhhh go play the game for fun they say! Well I would, if the game would give me the guns I want so I CAN go play for fun.... Untill I get the things I want, it's not fun.

Wait, I know. Make any pack that contains an N7 weapon only purchasable with actual money. Then they can just milk the cash cow for all those little suckers.

Please take my money already!

I kinda like the current system and would not want a "guarantee" N7 pack. In the last 100 PSP I bought since Rebellion came out (I saved a lot), I got a total of 22 (!) ultra-rares. Just now I had 4 ultras in 13 PSPs. I find it very rewarding when the N7 black card appears. Being able to "buy" this feeling is sort of shallow imho. I can totally relate to people who have dry runs. I had those, too. But when I finally had another ultra-rare, the sheer happiness of finally getting one was worth it.

No one would be forcing you to buy them, and with your luck it would be stupid to do so seeing as it appears that ultra rares come for you every few hundred thousand.  Did it occur to you that many of us don't have your luck?

This guy must be like the Anton Duck of ME3 multiplayer. I get an ultra rare every 2 million or so if I'm lucky :/

I remember joining a lobby with you in it, no way i'd forget a name like BattlePope. I didn't actually play with you, I search U/U/G but I always leave when it comes up W/G/G. So that being said, you'd rather grind W/G/G over and over again for a small percentage chance at a UR? An N7 Pack sounds like a grinder's wet dream to me.

I don't see the point of buying this, I mean isn't one of the main motivations of playing to get credits for the weapons and characters? if you can have them instantly, you could play some matches but the game will turn repetitive very soon.

It would be tragic if it were pay to win, but I honestly foresee these being available via in-game credits.

I mean, as it stands, for me to max out all of the weapons via the weapon packs, I estimate that it would take me approximately 18.4 million credits. I already have about a million, but that crap took me a while...

Spending 18.4 million to max out all ultra rares isn't too much compared to what I have spent on spectre/premium spectre packs. I am close to spending 45M ingame credits and I haven't maxed out five ultra rares. Although with few more ranks I will have 6 ultra rares at X.

It already is horribly repetative.  The only fix for that will be more game modes.

I feel bad wanting those N7 packs, because on the one hand it takes away the satisfaction of having "earned" stuff through doing well in the game, while on the other I really really really want the dang Valiant already. I pine for it like a Norwegian Blue pines for fjords.

Why, what guns to you still want? You have all but 3 ultra-rares already, one of them being the Indra, which I doubt someone can have fun with. The Harrier I can understand, it's a fun AR, but not that great to loose sleep over. And the wraith has yet to find it's niche imho. And with the rest - you can have fun with an ultra rare that is not on X, it even makes it that much more interesting, say if you have the Javelin and can't just shoot to your heart content.

On the other hand, if it where some sort of pack that had a chance (not a guarantee) of having one of the guns (Valiant, Crusader, Eagle, Hurricane) that are right now only reserved for weekly operations, I'd consider buying it, otherwise you have almost 40 weeks of operations to participate in order to max them (that, I think is really not that fair)

Judging by the more and more "has the drop rate changed" threads I'm not the only one having such "luck" as of late. For me and several friends that made the same observations as the spent their saved credits for Rebellion, the PSPs only have this kind of drop rate (~20% -ish) since around 3 weeks ago, before I had pretty much a dry streak myself.

Of course no one would force me to buy said packs, but what would be the point of spending credits for a PSP then?

When we sell/release Reinforcement Packs through Sony, we are required to submit them for certification testing at least 3 weeks prior to the date a pack would be sold. That being said, before launch (notice the dates on these images) we submitted a large batch of possible Reinforcement Packs to Sony. After launch we could then choose which ones would be actually available. They had different prices so that we could determine a fair price based on the actual content included when a pack went live. This also gave us flexibility to release new Reinforcement Packs on a weekly basis as we did with the Premium Spectre, Jumbo Equipment, etc.

These Reinforcement Packs were accidentally made public for a short period of time. Sony has taken them down as they were not meant to go public. When we go live with a new Reinforcement Pack it always is available through the in-game multiplayer store and it is always available for purchase using credits or currency.

Some of the packs from this list will never go live, as they may not support balanced gameplay, but other packs from the list could eventually be released. We will continue to listen to the feedback from our community about the types of packs you would like to see in the future. We appreciate your support and rest assured we are working hard every day to support a fun and ongoing multiplayer experience.

Thanks for clafiying, Scylla. Let's hope we can get some awesome packs in the near future! This explains the whole situation now, about time for the thread to go to sleep :)

I like the random weapons and the character ideas.  Particularly the weapons, but I do not see that one going live. Suppose all you need are UR's and N7?  BAM, one per pack!  That will tick off people who are not yet tired of redundant cards.Keeping that in mind, I see the N7 pack being the one most likely to be released.  Perhaps add the Valkyrie and/or Prothean Rifle?

I am pretty sure this week will be rebellion packs, similar to the resurgence packs.  I am hoping that the Harrier drop rate is increased for these, that is the main rifle I want.  Main thing I wanted in Resurgence was the Geth Engineer. and that is the ONE thing from that pack that I do not have maxed or more (no appearance options)

Anyway, back on topic.  For those who want the N7 packs and those that don't; Increase the UR drop rate on Spectre and PSP's by a decent amount and I think you will have a comprimise between those that want the N7 packs and those that do not. reducing redundant character cards is probably a good idea, too.  Factoring in the weekend guns is also a sound idea, just don't make them guaranteed.

If you note the terminology used by Bioware in describing the content of Reinforcement Packs, note that they always call the black cards "Ultra-Rare", and not "N7". That the leaked screenshot describes it as "a special N7 weapon" and not an "Ultra-Rare" kinda points to the implication that the N7 Pack will net you the N7 Arsenal weapons normally available from Commendation Packs, aka the Hurricane, Valiant, Crusader and Eagle.

If true, then hell yes I'd love to have an N7 Pack, so I can get the N7 Arsenal weapons without having to participate in at least 40 weekly Operations to max them out. They could make said N7 Packs weekly exclusives so that they don't saturate the store much.

Failing that, I would at least hope for the Jumbo Spectre Packs to be available soon for faster Rare farming.

If they price N7 packs at 2 million credits and you average an ultra rare at a rate of half that cost, why would you buy them?  That's the real question.

Also keep in mind that PSP's would still be the best way to get rares.  So until people max out their rares, buying PSP's would remain the way to go.  Meanwhile you would also be getting the occassional ultra rare.  As it is, for those of us who have maxed out our rares and don't have your luck, buying PSP's is already pretty pointless for the most part.  Rebellion has helped with its gear cards, but when all those are maxed out as well, it'll be back to an endless stream of useless character cards.

Ultra rare and N7 are interchangable terms.  Go look at a manifest.  There are little N7's on all the ultra rare cards.  I seriously doubt that the N7 pack was going to be nothing more than a purchasable commendation pack.

The manifest proves his point, actually. The ultra rare guns are classified as "ultra rare" on the manifest, not N7 or promotional, which are the N7 guns etc.
