Due to my current UR rut, and as of now the day that I get a decenly leveled Harrier or Talon is not in sight, or likely to happen, I'm gonna have to say that an UR pack would be most welcome, preferably following the general pricing policy of the other packs (3 or 4 times the Spectre Pack's price, or 180,000-240,000 creds per pack)
If this happens, I will buy my first 5 with currency as a thanks!

So they are pay-2-win packs? Everyone else does all the hard slog of going through the crap random system, and now newer players are getting it handed to them on a silver platter.

Indeed they will be getting screwed a bit, but think about all the people who will never be able to get decently leveled UR's without it.
They are a lot more in number than those few who have gotten their UR's due to speedruns.
I am working and going to school, I have not the time nor money to spend either playing for hours on this game, or spending hundreds on packs.  This will allow me to get my themed builds without having to comprimise some other aspect of my life.
Playing for fun with themed builds and not worried about making millions of credits to gamble is rather appealing to me.

If only people would learn to read up on threads instead of randomly posting nonsense. These packs are not live. For all we know they may never be.

If you are thinking that the pack will be live today a have to disapoint you. In czech republic (based on the listed price) we have different format of date, we use DD/MM/YYYY, so that 7/3/2012 meant 7th March.

If only people wouldn't suck at reading into things, and jump to assumptions. I never said anything to suggest they were live. The response is to the suggestion of them being in development.

PTW is for PvP not PvE. And it's not PTW anyway as it true PTW systems are items/weapons/gear that can ONLY be purchased and not aquired through normal play. And it's a slippery slope to claim "newer" players are having it easier. I played MP from launch day, and many players who started even a few weeks later had it "easier" than I did in those first few weeks. Weapons have been buffed, enemies have been nerfed, and there's a whole range of OP classes that have since been added. Does that mean I should get compensation since I "slogged" through a harder game until these changes were made? No, of course not.

I'm in the same scenerio as you. But pay-2-win is not a good way to go about delivering content. It just causes a split between those who are good at the game, and earned their weapons, and those who paid for their weapons, and didn't earn them.

It's a common bridge in games that offer payment alternatives to earning them through in game actions.

Edit: Cause I mutilated the word delivering.

Then may I suggest correct phrasing? You specifially implied they are by saying "and now newer players are getting it handed to them on a silver platter." This doesn't make any kind of sense, they are neither live nor are they planned to go live in the near future. So, no one gets anything handed to them...

If you had read up on the thread you'd have known, that a Dev already said that these packs may never go live and they were more or less a template. Plus, as has been said several times, the date on the shown packs is from before ME3 was released, which should give you an indication of how likely it is they will be implemented.

If you look at the Multiplayer Forum, below this thread's name you'll see a BioWare logo. Click it, and you can see all messages from BioWare representatives in this thread. In this case, Scylla Costa explains everything.

That said, make N7 packs happen. Holding out on weapons/equipment/characters is a cheap and poor way of prolonging the lifespan of a game. In fact, it doesn't even do that. I'd love to get my hands on the Saber, the Black Widow and the Hurricane. I've played the game for 3,5 months now, with no luck. True, I haven't played for hours and hours every day, but my interest is rather quickly waning.

Pure RNG is also bad. Grinding is all fine and good, as long as you have a clear goal you're working towards. Hours and days will not feel like a waste if you know you're going to reach that goal. Even in casinos, you get the feeling that you're somehow affecting the outcome of whatever game you're playing, even if you never win. A purely RNG-based system doesn't let you pull a lever, doesn't let you lock the cherries, doesn't let you discard in hopes of getting a straight, doesn't let you do that magic wrist-twist, and so forth. You're a victim of circumstance, not an active agent.

I had it open to tell a guy about what might be, and was also doing my Krogan VG guide.
This has already been answered, it should die down.

I really hope these new packs are permanent additions to the game instead of only being available tomorrow. If not, then I might have to buy some Microsoft Points....

Locking thread.

This is an old issue which was resolved and can be confusing.

If anything new comes up, by all means start a new thread.

Cheers
