It'll be a hot day on Noveria before I spend $$$ on random weapons. If it was something like $5 for a Paladin X or even $15 for all of them, sure. But those packs would end up costing hundreds of dollars to max stuff. I hope this stuff is available for credits.

*sigh* and of course I just spent 600k on specter packs.

When you pre-ordered the game it came with an N7 warfare pack which gave you access to the Valkyrie, Argus and N7 Defender Armor (all SP though).  Don't know if maybe the PSN is offering something similar now that we're 3 months out from launch??  Oh, and BTW, the Date is 7 march 2012....  That's the way they do it in countries other than the USA.  Supposedly more logical to go from the smallest date unit (Day) to the largest date unit (Year).  Us 'Murrican's are just illogical!!

I just got the rebellion pack for £4 and got only one new character and no new guns

I'm curious as to how this would work in the case of someone having all weapons up to and including rare weapons. If the pack guarantees a weapon, then only the ultra rare ones are left to put in the pack...

Well if you go by the backwards US date system, they're out on the 3rd of July, which is a tuesday - and don't DLC packs/updates usually appear on tuesdays?

This needs to come out on Xbox Live. I purchased an obsurd amount of PSP's and have not recieved either of the two classes I want: DV or PPV. I am very frustrated. Packs that provide a more straightforward route to recieving what you actually want would deffinately increase the longevity of this games online multiplayer.

Jumbo Spectre Packs, Holy Crap! 4 Golds.. And I'd imagine it not being any more than 150k. Would make sense.
N7 Pack, I'd imagine probably about 200-250k or so. That'll satisfy all the people begging for Ultra-Rare packs.. Plus, if they add the actual N7 named weapons, that might make it easier to get what you want for guns, instead of getting shafted when it comes to weekend operations.. besides, it's not like anyone is EVER going to max out one of those weapons otherwise. That, and they need to add the Valkyrie if they do that.
The Mystery Packs are stupid, save the Character one.. If they limited it only to characters that HAVE NOT already been maxed out, that sounds like a plan. The weapons, just no. We have enough Weapon Packs.. besides, if it's that pricy, say you buy one.. and then you get a Predator.. or some other half-rate gun. People would be pissed! Same with the Mods.. though, if you have all those maxed out, then that might be a cheaper way to get Ultra-rares.. but still..

As for a Premium Veteran Pack? That, I'd buy. I need to max out my silvers.. so, that would be most appreciated.. Premium Recruit pack, though? I rofl'd. What, for another 5k, you can get twice the upgrades?... Well.. that might help the newbies out, I guess..
The DLC packs, aka Rebellion Pack. YES PLZ. Though, they need to bring back the Resurgence too, thataway, those still missing some of those weapons or characters, will finally be able to get them. Geth Infiltrator, please?

I can't wait to see these added.. I just pray they're not overtly ridiculous in price. Four gold games, is MORE than enough for a Ultra-Rare..

I think you misread. "and regular packs" referred to recruit, premium and spectre, the original packs upon release.

Weapon pack = better than n7 pack for ultra rares assuming you have all guns at 10 except them!

im pretty sure the n7 weapons are black widow, talon, wraith, etc and not the commendation pack n7 weapons.

At the moment that's really it. Some of th epacks can be bought (Eg Rebellion) Some cannot and fail without giving items but still take cash. We'll probably have to wait for BW to announce some of it.

I would like to point out two things from the OP:

1) "Jumbo Spectre pack - Even more of the best equipment for the galaxy's best operatives. Double the size of a premuim spectre pack! Includes 10 random items or characters, with at least 4 Rares or better and a higher chance for Ultra - Rares."

2) "N7 pack- A high-end weapons package usually only availbilbe to top level alliance special forces. Includes 5 random items or characters and a special N7 weapon."

The fact that there are two separate packs, one specifically mentioning Ultra-Rares and one focused on N7 weapons, leads me to the deduction that Ultra-Rares and N7 weapons are NOT the same thing.

My guess is that Ultra-rares are the black rarity weapons currently in the store and found in the Ultra-rare section of your manifest: Javelin, Talon, Scorpion, Saber, Black Widow, Wraith, Paladin, Harrier, and Indra.

N7 weapons, therefore, are the four promotional weapons that have "N7" in their names: Valiant, Hurricane, Crusader, and Eagle.

I'm not surprised that they would split these off into two separate packs, and it makes perfect sense that they would offer the promotional N7 weapons in their own pack - considering that, as many have pointed out, it would take until October 2013 to max all four of them solely by earning Commendation Packs (and not missing a single one!).

It's likely that the price of the N7 pack will be high enough such that earning a Commendation Pack will actually require less time/effort during a weekend operation, but I think it's very cool of BW to offer one for those players who can't complete a squad goal for whatever reason (got in bad teams, were on vacation that weekend, etc.).

If, of course, they actually go through with any of this.
