Just ahead of Nintendo's E3 2012 press conference, Japanese newspaper Nikkei is reporting the publisher plans to unveil a new, larger model for the Nintendo 3DS.

This new edition will feature a 4.3 inch touchscreen - approximately 1.5 times the size of the current 3DS. No other details about the design of the system, or any additional features, were provided. Nikkei did specify a global release could happen as soon as this summer.

PFFFT EA's conference was terrible. I didn't see Microsoft but between the 2 I imagine nothing but Sports and Kinect so far.
Sony and Nintendo need to get up there and make this fun.

Unsurprising. They did the exact same thing for the DS.

They do this all the time.  They have to keep people interested in getting new Nintendo handhelds because let's face it, people aren't buying handhelds as much as they used to with the rise of iOS and Android, to my disdain since they are more along the lines of casual gaming and not legitimate hardcore gaming that handhelds cater to.

Even then I'd get a PSVita, but I'm waiting for much longer because of the poor decisions made with that console, same with some of them on the 3DS.<_<

Microsoft was actually somewhat interesting, but I think it was only that way because they talked about Tomb Raider which I'm a diehard fan of.  Everything else kind of draws a blank in my mind.

I swear I just watched EA's conference from last year, only more condensed and with more emphasis on social interactivity.

E3 has been sub-par so far.

IcWut You did there!

Yes Several the Problem is it falls into subjectivity. I can throw up reviewer scores and you'll go "paid off" I could state my own opinions, then thats my own opinions. Any debates with you always boils down into "He says She Says" type deals. And I won't get caught up in that garbage. Its like your ealier comments praising Tomb Raider, where as me and many others felt Halo 4 was Awesome. So whats the point or my motivation when your more set in your ways and tastes than a mountain?

I've been on the net along time and on very opinionated sites and honestly I know when it comes to fans or rather anything, no amount of texting back and forth solves one thing at all.

I cannot wait to see what Quantic Dream has for us this time.  After Heavy Rain I'm on pins and needles.  Heavy Rain is the only game so far that I have gotten a Platinum Trophy on about 1-2 months right after getting the game and it remains the only game that I have a platinum trophy for at the moment.  Eventually I'll have one for DA2 with the few trophies I have left and then eventually one for Skyrim.

God of War Ascension, it's before the first one.  I'm really excited to see what they do with it, but it has MP - which looks decent.  Since they ended the actual trilogy, I'm fine with the direction they're taking this new one.

God of War: Ascension.  It's an origin story I think.
