Beyond was the best game previewed today. Watch Dogs was the best non-exclusive featured. Assassin's Creed finally has a female lead, and Sony had the best presentation of all throughout the day.

Outside of what I was already interested in Watch Dogs and Beyond: Two Souls were mind blowing. I've got to keep an eye on Last of Us now.

Female lead?  Really?  Where did you get that from?
Is Connor a girls name and I don't know it?

Er the Vita Assassins Creed I think he means.

Good gosh, is that Forza with...street racing...and...cops?

D*mn, the day they destroy Most Wanted, they bring in a possibly-worthy successor.

Connor can be a girls name, but I was talking about Assassin's Creed Liberation. It has a female lead. I'm actually really proud of the AC developers for not needing to follow the bland white male protagonist and are really diverse with their main characters.

Does anyone have the hardware specifications of the Wii U, being able to run the current generation of games is all well and good but how will it stack up as next gen hardware? I mean when Sony and Microsoft finally get around to announcing their next gen consoles will the Wii U be powerful enough to compete or will it get left in the dust? The Wii survived and was successful because it offered something new and different, this time around I am not so sure this tablet controller they got is going to be able to do it.

  • So far it's this but not sure if anything has changed.
  • Quad Core, 3 GHz PowerPC-based 45nm CPU, very similar to the Xbox 360 chip. The CPU features two threads per core, 2-4 MB L3 cache, and 256B of L2 cache per core
  • 768 MB of DRAM “embedded” with the CPU, and shared between CPU and GPU
  • Unknown, 40nm ATI-based GPU
  • 25 GB Blu-ray based disc
  • 8 GB internal flash memory
  • Custom, Nintendo-made Wii U operating system that runs on a separate, ARM-based processor.
"Note that none of this is official from Nintendo"

Assuming it's all true, they're upping the ante from Wii/Gamecube at least - one of the Wii's biggest drawbacks for me was how it stagnated in the graphics department.

Wii U is using a Blu-ray drive? Ok, it might be worth checking out now. Problem is they're games almost always too happy, too bright, too colorful. Makes me sick, and I can't remember the last time I cared to play Zelda.

The door is always open for a kick ass new Zelda game here on my end - however, I'm not dedicated enough anymore to purchase a console solely for the sake of playing Zelda, so Wii U is gonna have to bring a lot more to the table before I'm interested.

Maybe if it's backwards compatible with Wii games, I can catch up and play Skyward Sword.

Saw new footage for Star Wars 1313. Looks great and you are not playing as a jedi...so that's a step up.
Though the continued use of Buzz words like darker, gritty, and the constant Mature makes me wonder if they are trying too hard to convince us that's what this game is.

I'll proceed catiously with that game. Hope to hear some more about it soon.

Happy, bright, and colorful is just the way I like it.

But Zelda is the least of that. Even Windwaker got pretty dark with the world being flooded and killing everyone but a select few and all.

Well, Zelda's always meant to be an epic. Tragic things need to happen so our hero has purpose. Still, Windwaker was too happy for my tastes. I can rarely enjoy a game under M. Hell, most M titles are soft in my opinion.

Majora's Mask was the darkest of them all, what with the whole "stranger in a strange land" and "imminent apocalypse" stuff going on - there was really nothing happy, bright, or colorful about that game tbh. One of my favorites in the series.

Pretty sure the only games I'm looking forward to are:

AC3
Dead Space 3
Halo 4
Hitman Absolution

and Dragon Age 3 when that is announced

Oh yes, the anticipation for DA3 is just killing me - I don't think I've wanted...

...wait, what was I talking about again? It seems to have slipped my mind - ah well, must not've been very important.

I just pre-ordered Hitman. I'm not much of a FPS player but I've not missed a main installment Halo yet. I may have to pick up Halo 4 too.
