Apparently it's selling badly. (worse than the PSP) Compared to the 3DS current sales at least. But that's only what I've heard.

Gears of war was concluded already with the third game, they even said that it was the last. It was pretty good too like the other two.jreezy wrote...

Play as a bounty hunter in this "mature" Star Wars title.
Tonight LucasArts debuted the new Star Wars: 1313, a third-person action adventure game starring a bounty hunter stalking targets on the capital of the Republic, Coruscant. Billed as a "mature" Star Wars title, 1313 takes you deep into the seedy underworld of a densely populated planet, giving you access to an array of "exotic weaponry" in your quest to take down targets and "uncover the truth surrounding a criminal conspiracy."
Gameplay apparently involves a lot of cover-based shooting, as well as platforming as you battle your way through the dangerous and titular Level 1313. LucasArts is also bringing in a wide-range of talent for the project, utilizing the many arms of the Lucasfilm business. Industrial Light & Magic, Skywalker Sound and Lucasfilm Animation will all be contributing.
For more on Star Wars: 1313, you can check out our preview coming out of next week's E3.

I do hope we at least get something on a new Metroid.
Did you see that Metroid 1.5 stuff in that link the other day? That could have become Prime 2. Crazy stuff.

Devs struggle with Wii U, creating an opportunity for the Xbox.
The next generation of consoles starts in 2013, if all goes according to developers’ plans. In an anonymous questionnaire, multiple industry professionals told IGN that they plan to release games for the next Microsoft and Sony consoles before January 1, 2014.
Multiple developers also intend to launch software for an unannounced platform next year.
The end is nigh.
It all starts here.
To further signal the winding down of the current console generation, approximately 60% of respondents have no plans to release games for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, or Nintendo Wii after 2013. Of course, this means some 40% intend to keep at current-gen releases after next year. To that point, an anonymous developer told IGN, “I would not be surprised if something atypical cannibalizes the market, maybe even the Xbox 360 itself.”
From a hardware perspective, nearly 80% of respondents said Microsoft’s next console is the easiest to work with, and the overwhelming majority suspect it will be the sales leader over the next five years.
“
We won’t be working on Wii U due to its complexities
This presents an interesting opportunity for the next Xbox: It could come out of the gate with an established online framework in the form of Xbox Live, of course, with the potential to launch with a strong software lineup from eager and capable creators. After the self-destructive launch of the PlayStation Vita, Sony may not be able to convince developers that their games will sell. Having an impressive opening must be on Microsoft’s mind more than ever, and having a console that's easy to work with could help.
The ease of use compared to other consoles is assuredly attractive, too. By comparison, 63% of developers who spoke to IGN said the Wii U would be the most challenging platform to develop for. One creator went as far as saying, “we won’t be working on Wii U due to these complexities,” while another lamented the difficulty of moving innovative games unique to Wii U to other platforms. This poses the question: Will Nintendo once again need to rely primarily on first-party games to propel platform success? At any rate, the Wii U’s 2012 release window gives it a distinct advantage: time.
If the next generation of Xbox and PlayStation really starts next year, Nintendo will have given developers such extensive time to work on Wii U titles prior to another platform’s release that they may adapt to and embrace the platform regardless of complexities.
Microsoft has said outright the next Xbox will not be at E3 2012. Sony said the same thing about the PlayStation 4. But with developers meeting about Durango, and Orbis rumors running rampant, we know the wheels are in motion. While we may not see hardware, or even learn the names of the inevitable next-gen consoles at E3, that's not to say Nintendo's push for 2012 will keep everyone else quiet about progress.
Hardware successors are on the minds of developers using them, so you can bet it's on the minds of Microsoft and Sony -- and with titles tentatively launching next year for new consoles, you can expect to learn more sooner than later.
This information is based on survey responses from 35 video game developers IGN trusts. Look for more information on next generation consoles at IGN soon.

ARGH!
F*ck all those lazy developers who refuse to develop for the Wii-U due to it's complexity! I actually hoped developers would love the challenge and possibilities with the touch-screen on the controller of the Wii-U. A creative developer (such as Nintendo themselves) could create awesome, unique and perhaps revolutionary games for the Wii-U, but I see that some developers (if not most) prefer the easy, familiar and comfortable route. What a bummer...

We have to go back.
Baird, Cole, Garron, and Sofia -- the four members of Gears of War: Judgment's Kilo Squad -- have been "charged for treason because they didn't follow orders, stole equipment, and their actions could end up killing millions of people they swore to protect," an anonymous source told IGN.
This is the premise of Judgment, and the crux of the trailer debuting at Microsoft's E3 press conference on Monday, June 4, where we'll learn officially that the next Gears of War is a prequel to the first game.
Baird and Cole look younger in Judgment because Kilo Squad was only around during the two years following Emergence Day, as far as the Gears of War novel Coalition's End is concerned. E-Day happened 14 years before the first Gears of War, which puts us more than a decade behind Epic's original Gears game, giving us the opportunity to watch their delightful relationship develop. It also leaves Judgment open to introduce a young Marcus Fenix before he gets thrown in the clink for desertion.
Two people new to the Gears canon join Baird and Cole, but we'll need to wait for Monday's E3 trailer to learn more about who they are, how they're connected to these guys, and what role they play in Kilo's treason.
Keep it locked to IGN.com for more on Gears of War: Judgment as details roll out over E3 2012 and beyond. Until then, let us know what you're expecting from Gears of War: Judgment in the comments below.

While I'll agree, and would never say Nintendo isn't creative, you have to remember gaming budgets have reached a point where frankly some of them cost as much as movies to make now, the economic situation in the west is still and at least for the next 20 years a huge question mark, but leaning heavily to basketcase. Eastern Nations are starting to pull up stakes on the west. And frankly the west is the only place that really spends huge sums on things related to entertianment. So as a result many people are picking less titles, investors won't spend unless a huge pay off is a sure thing. So Game Devs want as little risk as possible, with as much in common with previous titles as they can.
As honestly Call of Duty (in the eyes of investors and hardnumbers) with its huge sales shows this is a formula that can win. Alot of these devs are also in major Cities and countries. Rent in LA or Vancouver for example starts at 700 bucks, and thats for crap. CDRP lives in "Mighty" Poland where things are still cheap and well honestly don't have any serious compitition.
Its much like the Movie Market in that respect. Its economics. The Wii U is a risky project in very bad times. Not many will want to leap as today one bad game can rip a company apart. The Wiiy may seem new, cool, flashy, but remember, your just a consumer.
You don't have millions of dollars tied into a game project, 100's (or thousands) of people to pay, or a family to feed, past due student loans, and rent to pay that will only happen if this game is a hit. The other problem is gaming well frankly its not what it once was. Its Mainstream now. Mainstream wants Action, flashes of color, they want movie games. The Wii U came at a bad time in that reguard, and like the last several nintendo projects I fear will find only limited thrid party support.
Franly I'll be surprised if we don't see a regression or stagnation in gaming tech, when people have to pick between gas and bread, not much is left for high end games. And most economist agree its not getting better no time soon.

•Fodder transform into two different necromorphs depending on how you kill them
•Ammo drops are more plentiful
•They want DS3 to be less linear than 2&1;be able to explore large environments and find "unique beta missions" that aren't required to complete the main game
•You can slap different guns together like a Plasma cutter/Ripper combo,Visceral didn't say "how exactly these weapon mods work" but GI noticed enemies drop Scrap metal and 'tungsten' now.
