Rockworm, what's the word on Dark Souls dlc? Are the new areas near Blightown or Darkroot Garden and Undead Parish? Also...how many new bosses?

I have no freaking clue what your talking about.  Haven't played Dark Souls.
Demon's Souls overwhelmed me with its difficulty.

I'm sorry, i got you mixed up with somebody else. You should give it a shot, though. You can do it. Just be resolute and honed in. The key is to time attacks, block well and manage stamina, learn from mistakes and level smartly.

As of yet, Assassin's Creed 3, Splinter Cell Blacklist and Watch Dog are holding my interest, particularly the latter. The concept behind Watch Dog is very interesting, and its trailer was cool (obviously inspired by Ron Paul's campaign videos).

I will give Black Ops 2 this. MW3 was basically the ultimate in gameplay stagnation with literally almost nothing changed from 2 and surrounded by bad blood over the purging of Infinity Ward (take notes, EA haters - they're a pretty pitiful evil corporation compare to Activision). I quite gladly skipped it. Treyarch at the very least seems to be trying to change things up a bit and take at least a modicum of risk and new ideas. Hardly anything groundbreaking, but they've at least remembered they're making a game and not a movie.

So far I gotta say so far Assassin's Creed 3 and Ubisoft have taken the show, opening the show with naked boobs is always a popular move and Watchdogs certainly looks impressive and I will be sure to keep an eye on it, still cant help but feel something doesnt quite smell right about the title though. Sony came in second but then that was mostly because there wasnt much of interest at the Microsoft and EA shows.

Nintendo I gotta admit I am not all that interested in however I am starting to see the benefits and uses of this new controller, hopefully its use will be extended beyond the mere gimmicks shown in Arkham City U and ZombiU. Still not sure this new controller will be able to keep them competitive in the next gen console market but I guess we will have to wait and see.

^ Did you see how it's used with ZombieU and Arkham City?

What was so impressive about it? I'd rather keep my eyes on the screen when playing and using it as a sniper scope just looked awkward.

I gotta agree, though I must admit I am slowly being sold on the advantages and possibilities of use for the new tablet controller most of what was shown on ZombiU looks really gimmicky, and yeah the sniper scope looks incredibly awkward.

So far from what I've seen...

Shooter sequel, Shooter sequel, Shooter sequel, Action-Adventure sequel, Shooter sequel, Shooter sequel, Shooter sequel, different genre "Reimagined for a modern audience"**, Shooter sequel, Shooter sequel, Shooter sequel, Action-Adventure sequel, Action-adventure sequel now turned into a Shooter, umpteenth sequel to racing game.

We're hitting an absolutely fantastic levels of uncreativity. E3 2012's tagline "You can have any game you want, so long as the only game you want is a Shooter".

I thought 2011's E3 was the worst ever, somehow they managed to top that.

**Yes, that's EA's description of SimCity5 from what I've read, which you would've thought they'd have learned the last time they tried that and SimCity Societies was raked over the coals.

What are you watching? doesn't look like EA to me I'm seeing a ton of original titles that look fun as hell.
I would just shoot myself right now if I ever became so jaded as you.

1. You didn't really just try to pass off EA's full plate of sequels as original did you?

2. LOL, so actually expecting the industry to do something other than rerelease the same couple of games over and over and over is Jaded and worth suicide? People wonder what's wrong with gaming today, your post illustrates everything that's wrong with gaming today.

Todd Howard is indeed the best.

But Todd...just shut up and take my money!!!!!!!

I avoid anything he's come into contact with. Not only is he the definition of a one-trick pony, he's been doing nothing but making the exact same game over and over for more than a decade, but I still remember him at E3 for Fallout 3. There was a video interview and one of the reporters asked him about RPG elements in Fallout 3, he hemmed and hawed for a moment and then responded "Look at this explosion!". I still put that directly below the Awesome Button as examples of how disinterested the remaining developers are in making great games.

You know I find it funny when people call Todd a Genius when the only Innovation and only real thing of note about his games are that they are really really big, then again people call David Cage a genius for releasing what is essentially a 3rd rate movie as a video game.

I don't think anyone is calling Todd Howard a genius but he makes games for gamers and he's not BSing us. When he says he wants to reward the players he really means it.

Todd Howard/Bethesda's Fallout 3 was bad and I was so excited for it. :(

But it has explosions so who cares right!

I don't care what anyone says. They made fun of the wii and wii fit, and it went on to sell more than the ps3 and 360 combined. The WiiU is going to sell like mad. I'm curious what other applications the controller has with other games, but what I saw with Arkham and ZombieU looks promising. I do feel bad for Bioware though, pushing ME3 because their sales are so bad. I mean they're so abysmal that I got a copy for 15. I think that's unheard of with just two months after release.

Right, because the game is about converting your cash to gold and collecting mass amounts of canned chef boyardee in your cellar/post-apocalyptic shelter.

There was alot of reports about most wii's were gathering dust after a few months, people just stopped playing them. That could hurt the wii-u's sales.

I'm looking at some gameplay footage of RE6 right now from GameTrailers - it shows Leon going through a university in zombie city. I have to say, Capcom really wasn't lying when they said they were going back to the survival horror roots - it feels exactly like creeping through the Umbrella Mansion or Raccoon City Police Department, albeit in over-the-shoulder camera. Even the music sounds exactly like something out of an old-school RE game.

Here, take a look for yourselves:

Unfortunately, there's no sound beyond the music - I guess there were spoilers that they didn't want people to hear just yet, so they muted it.

EDIT: Whoa, each campaign in RE6 is "roughly 70-80% of the volume in Resident Evil 5" - this game is gonna be hella epic tbh. My wallet is open, Capcom.

No one to blame but themselves. Abandoning fans in search of the CoD market and forcing Origin on people.

Yes; 2+ million is sales is really a poor showing; almost equal to that of DAO in less than a year. While Hater's gotta Hate, wonder why they feel the need to alter reality.

You do realize what sold Mass Effect 3 was the reputation of it's two previous titles? Once players got a hold of it, it became rather obvious that they were less than pleased with the quality of this iteration. The reason why I was able to get a copy for a fraction of the price only two months after it's release.

While realizing numbers and stats do not define quality (eg; Diablo 3), neither does price. Or that might mean that free DLC does not bode well....

And quite a lot of Players enjoyed ME3, inlcluding the ones that Hated on the conclusion. Of course, I did actually read some of the reviews, and did not just look at the ratings.

Obviously I was joking.

I mean, it is Cyberpunk, so conspiracy theories are at the center of the story.
