X360 magazine’s latest issue boasts an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Spec Ops: The Line, one of the most genuinely mature shooters we’ve ever played. Not to mention shocking and controversial.

GTA V’s release date is another controversial topic but we’ve got a definitive answer from an industry insider who spoke exclusively to us. Find out how we can be so sure it’s coming in October 2012 inside the mag.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Assassin’s Creed III also get major coverage this issue, along with the likes of Gears Of War 4, Metal Gear Solid 5, Half-Life 3, Crysis 3, Resident Evil 6 and a great many more awesome Xbox 360 games.

Just saw the Metal Gear Rising: Revengance E3 2012 trailer. I'm actually looking forward to it now. It reminds me of Ninja Gaiden 2.

It's a disgrace to the Metal Gear franchise and I'm sorry but that is really terrible title.

Well I feel its already ruined with 4 (seriously Kojima should just make movies) but nothing about this new game is impressing me.  The trailers have been making me laugh.  Its like Japan's misconseption on the western games.  WIth it opening with dialog like "in a world where you don't know who your fighting you don't know what your fighting for."
LMAO trying to make Raiden look more and more badass when he looks like an emo punk.. UGH I'm just tired of the series in general and this isn't helping things.

Well from what the rumors have, the Wiiu is rather powerful actully. It will be only 20% weaker than the 720's so far stated stats, which are close to a high end computer, the PS4 I've heard very little on. But it seems this generation is focusing more on the Hardware. Minus Sony which seems more concerned with Software like security.

Nintedo's laxness last time on that front cost them alot of thrid party titles as the Wii could not take the strain or the controls. And Microsoft, if the rurmors I posted awhile back are true, it has alot of high end componets as it needs them, as MS wants to control your living room, so it needs as much power as it can get. Well lthat is if rumors are true.

Honestly I hope we see stuff on the Wii U and 720...but I'm doubting we will not untill next year at least.

There is no damn way the new consoles will be as powerful as "high end computers." Not a chance in hell.

Why not? Worried they will make your PC obsolete?

LOL your fanboyism is showing.
This is simple truth consoles can never make PCs obsolete.  Consoles are made with one thing in mind.  Gaming.  While PCs are created with other things in mind.  You don't see people working on their spreadsheets on a PS3 and you never will.
Come back to me if they announce Wii-U has full Photoshop support ;)

Besides Consoles are static.  They are made and they are only as good as they were the day you bought them while PCs can constatnly be upgraded.  The day I can take apart an Xbox and put in new parts to make it better will be something amazing.
Newsflash Microsoft will never let that happen.

I loved 4, it had some really good moments and most importantly the game was still focused on the characters and great writing. Equally important was the fact that it still did Stealth right. Revengeance doesn't do stealth at all, it's like DMC for cying out loud and that's abandoning what was pretty much at the heart of the series which is why I spit on it.

I don't care what anyone says I'm interested in the Wii U. Nintendo is the only one of the big three that tries to do something different and I appluad them for it and there is no way I can resist an HD Legend of Zelda (not counting Dolphin) and if Nintendo can finally have some real third party support there is no reason for me to not get one.

The Wiiverse looks intersting especially and a step in the right direction for the online community.

That pro controller looks pretty awkward with the face-button placement.

By face-buttons I meant the four buttons on the right side. They look awkward to reach for.

But anyway I glossed over the most important part the slew of news. HD Zelda Collection? More importantly, HD Windwaker?

I have. Looks like Skyrim FP interaction. Let's get one thing clear: consoles will never be innovative. They can't be. It pisses me off when gamers think some console exclusive this or that is 'new'. Impossible. Consoles are always behind PC. They always have outdated tech.

I'll be interested to see the keynotes for sure. They are always the best parts of E3. Also wondering if Microsoft pushes hard for the next Xbox now because the current one is in trouble and might be banned.

I'll say this about Nintendo - they were ahead of the game on implementing motion control, and they're ahead of the game on that bubble bursting. Meanwhile Microsoft and Sony try and force their respective motion control platforms into everything.

Think we'll have another "FIVE HUNDRED AND NINETY-NINE US DOLLARS/Attack its weak point for massive damage" moment this year?

Happy to see that Nintendo are making an actual controller for this new system, not happy that the button layout seems wrong.

Epic Games Saves Kingdoms of Amalur Developer
Ex-Big Huge Games employees to join new Baltimore studio.

You want an awesome way to start the week of E3 off right? Fine: Epic Games has decided to open a new studio in Baltimore, Maryland which will eventually employ a slew of ex-employees from Big Huge Games. Big Huge Games, of course, is the developer behind Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and was recently shutdown, along with 38 Studios, in a financial mess originating in the state of Rhode Island.

As Epic Games’ President Dr. Michael Capps explained, all of this began this past Wednesday, when “the ex-BHG leadership team contacted” Epic Games. “They wanted to start a new company and keep together some of the key talent displaced by the layoff, and hoped that they could use an Epic IP as a starting point for a new game,” Capps said in a post on Epic’s website. “We loved that they all wanted to keep working together, but it was pretty clear they’d have trouble building a demo and securing funding before their personal savings ran out.”

Capps continued: “In one of life’s coincidences, Epic’s directors had spent the morning discussing how we’d love to build even more successful projects with our growing team, but that we’d need a dramatic infusion of top talent to do so. Which, we all knew, was impossible. So now we’re planning to start an impossible studio in Baltimore.”

Naturally, creating such a studio will take time, and Epic wants to get people down to Epic HQ in Cary, North Carolina to begin working in the meantime. The details are still no doubt being ironed out, and specifics are likely a ways off. But it’s still awesome to see that some of the talented folks at Big Huge Games will join with the respected and established developer Epic Games to keep cranking out the goods.

Before releasing Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning in 2012, Big Huge Games was responsible for the Rise of Nations franchise on PC. They also created Catan on Xbox Live Arcade and the expansion pack for Age of Empires III called The Asian Dynasties.

Epic Games has created a number of titles since its founding in 1991, though it is best-known for its work on the mega-popular Gears of War franchise. It’s also responsible for the workhorse Unreal Engine used throughout the industry.

I quoted you not to challenge your assertion, which is obviously accurate, but just to see if youve been following the game. Shouldn't have quoted your statement. I remember seeing you in discussion about Cyberpunk and thought you'd really like it. It's an action game that emphasises stealth and stealth mechanics but has solid rpg elements and takes place in what I think is a pretty neat steampunk atmosphere. That damn plague, too! It looks like a blend of Skyrim/Deus Ex. Devs from the original DE are working on this. Art director from HL2 is on the project as well...his influences are fairly recognizable.

I challenge you to read up more on the game and listen to dev interviews. You'll like what you here.
