Slim, see the Dishonored gameplay trailer

I have. Looks like Skyrim FP interaction. Let's get one thing clear: consoles will never be innovative. They can't be. It pisses me off when gamers think some console exclusive this or that is 'new'. Impossible. Consoles are always behind PC. They always have outdated tech.

Why do you say sorry to being a ****** when you are obviously not?
While I usually find your attitude extremely annoying I can't really say you're wrong.

What I don't get is this either or attitude.  I find both can be very enjoyable.
While Motion controls are a joke and just a gimmick it is admirable for nintendo to want to try new things.  Something I wish more companies would have the balls to do.  Something most PC devs don't even consider.

Happy to see that Nintendo are making an actual controller for this new system, not happy that the button layout seems wrong.

You've never played a Super Nintendo before have you?

Forget the Super Nintendo - have you ever played a Nintendo 64? Everything about that controller was wrong...

...and yet when you're flying through the air with your Wing Cap on trying to get that next Star, or swerving around corners and dodging Chompers on Rainbow Road, it felt so right.

Lol, indeed. I loved my Nintendo 64 and it's weird controller layout. I always wanted to buy another one.

Well from what the rumors have, the Wiiu is rather powerful actully. It will be only 20% weaker than the 720's so far stated stats, which are close to a high end computer, the PS4 I've heard very little on. But it seems this generation is focusing more on the Hardware. Minus Sony which seems more concerned with Software like security.

Nintedo's laxness last time on that front cost them alot of thrid party titles as the Wii could not take the strain or the controls. And Microsoft, if the rurmors I posted awhile back are true, it has alot of high end componets as it needs them, as MS wants to control your living room, so it needs as much power as it can get. Well lthat is if rumors are true.

Honestly I hope we see stuff on the Wii U and 720...but I'm doubting we will not untill next year at least.

There is no damn way the new consoles will be as powerful as "high end computers." Not a chance in hell.

Why not? Worried they will make your PC obsolete?

LOL your fanboyism is showing.
This is simple truth consoles can never make PCs obsolete.  Consoles are made with one thing in mind.  Gaming.  While PCs are created with other things in mind.  You don't see people working on their spreadsheets on a PS3 and you never will.
Come back to me if they announce Wii-U has full Photoshop support ;)

Besides Consoles are static.  They are made and they are only as good as they were the day you bought them while PCs can constatnly be upgraded.  The day I can take apart an Xbox and put in new parts to make it better will be something amazing.
Newsflash Microsoft will never let that happen.

LOL your ignorance is showing, in calling out my missread fanboyism you betray your own. As for which side I am on in the Console/PC war I am a Gamer and as such platform is irrelevant to me, and as a gamer it is totally within my best interests to see this new generation of consoles be able to perform on par with what is currently considered a top of the line computer because like it or not most games are made with consoles in mind and as such will always be limited by whatever hardware is currently running in the current generation of consoles.

Of course you are right and a computer made up of what is currently considered top of the line hardware at the time it is made will almost always be superior to a console as new pc hardware is released all the time and consoles stay the same until the next generation of console hardware is released, however until that next generation of console hardware is released any evolution in games will be minimal at best since they are made to run on the current generation of console hardware.

Now currently my PC is not top of the line however it is more than powerful enough to run any game I throw at it on the highest setting because the current generation of consoles keep the requirements to run these games relatively low, I could go out and buy a top of the line PC but currently I dont need it because my PC does everything I need it to at the moment, that being said however I know that once this new generation of consoles is released odds are I am going to need to upgrade if I want to be able to play the latest games, in fact I am specifically waiting for these new consoles to be announced before I upgrade because I wish to know what exactly I need to upgrade to to be able to play the latest games and at the highest quality. I welcome these new consoles and hope they are far more powerful than the current gen because I know that with it we will be able to see bigger and better games.

I'm excited for E3 especially what Nintendo has in store for us.
I love my PS3 to death.  IN fact I think its getting more use lately than my PC.
The same PC that can run Skyrim, Batman AC and well any other high end game and I payed less for my PC than my PS3.
I must be a bipolar fanboy.
Furthermore I do not get you.  I reread your post like twice and it really seems to me like your basically agreeing with me yet I'm ignorant....

That pro controller looks pretty awkward with the face-button placement.

Looks pretty much the same as a 360 controller.

The way I see it both the Xbox 360 and Wii U Pro controllers are updates of Nintendo controllers. When I first held an Xbox 360 controller In felt it was very similar to a Super Nintendo controller, except they added analog sticks and swapped some of the button letters and colors. (The bottom one should be B and yellow, damn it!) A lot of people are saying Nintendo is ripping off Microsoft with this new controller just like they said the Wii Traditional Controller ripped of the Playstation controllers. I think both of them were inspired by the SNES controller.

Take away the analog sticks and one pair of shoulder buttons from the Wii U Pro Controller, and this is what you get:

The Console and Pc have both their strengths and weakness's. The pc has beter graphics, but the console has never all those installation problems or need stuff like Origin or Steam.

Alot of people also prefer more to play with a controller while others prefer keyboard and mouse. Its stupid to argue which one is beter.

Just buy both then you dont have to argue about it.

Ignorant in misreading what I was saying, if I read you correctly it would seem that you mistook me for saying that this new generation of consoles will end up making PCs obsolete which I am not, what I am saying is that this new generation of consoles may give many of us reason to upgrade our computers, or at least that is what I am hoping. As I said earlier like it or not most games are made with consoles in mind so even if you do have a top of the line PC you would probably have a hard time finding a game that can actually make use of it, with the next generation of console hardware comes the next generation of games. The closer these new consoles come to the specs of high end computers the better because it means the bar will be lifted when it comes to hardware requirements which means more powerful games.

^That's all fine and dandy, but will consoles ever reach the potential of PC power, meaning, will the evolution ever be linear? Because as I see it now, consoles are always one step behind PCs right now. I don't mean to say that PCs are better than consoles, though, but this made me wonder.

Naw, Consoles will always be centred for one time. But until they make them "Upgradable" like PC's or Computers then they will always be Obsolete in comparison. But it annoys me because all of my relatives etc Use a Xbox, so I barely buy games for my PC.

The only thing that annoys me about consoles is that you constantly have to replace them with newer, better versions, making the 'old' original console useless. It would be better if consoles indeed could be upgraded, like Larry is suggesting here. Also, consoles are far much more limited when it comes to the installation of mods. I love messing around with mods, and that's why I prefer the PC for gaming. But on the other hand, consoles don't suffer from DRM platforms, right?

PCs are better than consoles, I dont think consoles will ever be as versatile as a pc but as far as games are concerned most will limited by the current generation of consoles. Consoles will probably always be one step behind computers as new computer hardware is released all the time while consoles stay pretty much the same until the next model is released, that being said who among you buys new computer hardware everytime a new graphics card or processor comes out?

His choice of words isn't the nicest, but he's correct.
Consoles are always left behind when it comes to technology.
By the time they release, the graphics card/CPUs they chose has already been long surpassed(and they weren't even that great in the first place).

Oh I can understand what he means by the graphics, but here he refers to it as being obsolete in every way which is untrue. Due to some outstanding Console exclusives ect.
