I propose a system where those who complain about weapon and power OPness are allowed to regisgter their origin ID with EA and be put on the nerf list. The powers and weapons they complain about will be nerfed for them while those who don't mind better abilities / weps. will not be hindered.
That way they will recieve the "Balance" they desire and not ruin the game for others. Win-Win.
I don't think that word means what you think it means.
Anybody want a peanut?
On a more serious note, I agree with OP. I only got to use the weapon for one game myself on by little brother's account, but I was blown away (and so were they

Funny how I'm willing to admit wrong-doing and adjust my views when clear evidence or sound reasoning is displayed. If anyone provided any good reason why the Krysae wasn't overpowered with TC rank 6, I'd stop arguing that it is.neteng101 wrote...
If you'd take a minute to think before you responded to the litany of reponses you got.You originally chose to name the topic as "nerf the gun". Funny how you just changed it now given all the flak you've gotten, but that's what you did.Infiltrators are not OP, its your stacked build and understanding of game mechanics that makes them OP.You are using score as a justification for your suggestion, are you not?If you truly wanted to be constructive, you'd have picked a better topic title to start with. Changing it now just loses you any credibility you might have as far as real interest in game balance.1337haxwtg wrote...
Now all I'm getting for this is attacks on me, absurd reasons for disregarding balance, being told to shut up because people don't agree, accused of having a huge ego, and senseless bragging over better scores.
As it stands, it hits like a black widow but requires the aiming of an atom bomb. No headshot damage? Doesn't matter, it bypasses shield gate and 1 shots many enemies.
I'm going to sleep and from here on I'm going to refrain from posting in this thread, or even BSN entirely. I'm not going to post some ragequit thread but I've had my fill of the behaviour on here. Whether that be people acting like children or mods banning / locking for (what I personally thought) were poor reasons.
I'm not without flaws, and I could have handled my replies on here better. "get the hell out of the thread" was a poor choice of words on my part, sure. So apologies for that. The point is, everyone is entitled to an opinion. This weapon will most likely be nerfed regardless, because it has some clear balance issues. Nobody can reasonably deny that. So catch you guys later.

But dunno.
Right now tho, most people are just complaining and are not trying to improve the situation...

It is with great regret that I must announce the withdrawal of forces from several colonies in asari space. Reinforcing them proved untenable. While Operation SILENCER inflicted substantial casualties, the Reapers learned from our victories against the brutes, and they now know how to protect their own.
Rest assured that we too are learning from this conflict. Already, we are implementing plans to supply our forces with a better arsenal so that, when we next meet the enemy, they are ours. Until your next deployment, keep calm and carry on. We will pay the Reapers back soon enough.

Maybe the combination or the circumstances created such a thing. This all sounds too much to me as an ego trip in showing how good someone is by telling things are too easy and they should harder.
In real life, this is one kind of bragging.
Just dont use and move on. They will nerf things eventually anway or just make the enemies stronger once again so the older weapons fall out and become obsolete slowly. Nothing to get worked over, really...

I enjoy a challenge but I also enjoy credits. I like to mix things up. Sometimes I go for hitting them hard and fast, and other times I take it slow.
If nothing else, I enjoy the potential for variety in Mass Effect.

On my games is always a rush for kill everything as fast as possible and even if topping the score is not rare I am sure there are plenty of players better than me who Demand a more complex difficulty
Finished gold at 1st attempt on both the new maps with full extraction

More often than not, I end up playing with randoms. I don't have a lot of friends that play Mass Effect as much as I do. Usually, I end up with players that probably shouldn't be on gold and I have to pull more than my own share of weight.
This usually ends up getting me killed in a foolish attempt at trying to help the team out. However, I am loving the two new maps. I hated Jade, but it is nice when your team understands spawn blocking.

No, don't change it. Its meant for the lesser infiltrators ie. the average player.

They will have to change it. I don't want them to change it at all. I love this gun, its made me a good infitlrator into a god. Not great, not good, but into a GOD. A friend of mine who can't snipe for **** because he sucks is now a good sniper. But next to me and another few players he's only good with this gun.
If it does get nerfed BioWare will nerf it to kingdom come, because at times they seem to not have a ****ing clue on what they're doing. This gun does not deserve to be a gold weapon, this thing is a N7 quality but stuck as a gold. If we come to a compromise as a AR, it won't lose its effictiveness and won't be overly OP in the hands of an infiltrator.

on a side note, reegar also shouldnt score HSs and should not benefit from AP/shredder at all. moreover, shouldnt even benefit from ammo power as it does not even shoot anything other than energy... an electrical burst applying a freezing effect is just... wrong
to make new weapons arguability better than what we have now, bioware is making them deliberately worldbreaking... mind u, indra just went live, and it has lower RoF and way lower dmg per bullet than harrier. ofc indra comes with lower kick and larger spare ammo cap, and probably a lil bit larger clip, not to mention built in scope... indra & harrier are two different weapons, but having both at mark I, i stuck scope+stability dampener on harrier and equipped both on a non turian guy... they are pretty close, but i would go for the harrier if (not sure) indra suffers from hip firing

Until I see solid proof that N7 drop rates increase to compensate for new weapons, I can't support the addition of more ultra-rares. I even have the Krysae at 10, so it would be a free one for me, but not for others. I'm a very devoted player and most of my guns are only hovering around 4-5. I've gotten a surprisingly even spread on my weapon progression.

RNG is RNG, you can't **** about it. And if they did change this as a N7 I don't mind if they gave us a freebie at level 1 and took away 9 levels.

I'm well aware of how RNG works. It just seems to me that, statistically, you would have to dump an unreasonable amount of time into this game to get them all to 10. 99.9% of players will never achieve this. I probably will, but the system is designed to make money on microtransactions, and that is the bottom line.RazRei wrote...

Not complaining, but I get disappointed each time we get a new ultra-rare in our loot pools, because, again, statistically, that is another 100 PSPs I have to buy. Maybe more, maybe less.

I would be fine with it. The harrier was a gold and the Krysae was the N7 you would see lesser people wanting it nerfed. As good as the Harrier is on paper compared to the Krysae, on the field it works the other way around.
I was pissed when they added the Indra to the N7 Pool but I'm fine as that means more players have more weapons to look forward too.

I think I unlocked like 5 ultra rares today anyway. A few weeks ago, I had a two-week dry span. Two in one PSP for the second time since launch. It is all about luck. Some people get lucky, some don't. I just hope our ultra-rare pools stay somewhat small for a while.RazRei wrote...

Translation - the Krysae makes a bad player a better player. That's really your issue with it. Of course in the hands of a skilled player, it can seem to be too much. Once again, just cause you're good, that does not give you the right to ruin the fun for everyone else.
Question: does fun in a computer game come from completely dominating the game and blowing things up in the most amusing manner possible, or from having a really close-run nailbiting game that requires you to use all your skill and experience to win?
I want to stamp 'false dichotomy' all over this post, but if I accept the basic premise, the first is more fun.
