When booting up Mass Effect 3, the notice comes up that Mass Effect Patch 1.04 needs to be installed. Hit OK, and the playstation goes to a black screen then boots up normally about 5 minutes alter.
We have reset the playstation, went back to default settings, turned of media servers, etc. It does not happen on any other game. Any advice?
Im hoping its not because it thinks there really is a 1.04 patch, since im pretty sure it's 1.03?
Regards.
New patch causes black screen

I was perplexed when I was prompted to download the ME patch v1.04, cause I read from the forums that it is v1.03.
So far no black screen for me, when I installed it. One thing I noticed though is that there is an improvement in MP performance. I have not encountered the lag, which seems to have gotten worse with the new DLC (pre-patch 1.04), after playing four consecutive matches. I do hope the lag is totally fixed in MP.

Well for us, when we did a system restore and all that, it started giving us an error 8001002B only for Mass Effect 3. Everything else still works. That was 3 days ago and we decided to stop with it for a few days then come back (it is a frustrating thing). Still not sure where that came from and hope no one else has that problem as ME3 won't even boot up to try and install a patch anymore.
