I was checking throughout the forums on everyones ideas for what characters they want for future DLC, and I thought it would help to create a thread where people can voice their wishes and ideas with detailed descriptions. This DLC idea came up from the thought of a last ditch effort for the war against the Reapers and a chance of hope as well for the fighting races. The title I give for this DLC is the "Retribution Pack". Here are the details on it:

classes

Adept: Prothean*

On the planet of Klencory, the the eccentric volus billionaire Kumun Shol, who was been ridiculed for his visions of "beings of light" protecting organic life from synthetic "machine devils", discovered a network of hidden stasis pods. These so called beings of light turned out to be Protheans in vita-pods. The Protheans arose from a single planet and developed an immense galaxy-wide empire encompassing many other spacefaring species. Believe to have died out in the last galactic purge, the Protheans have risen back to life to seek retribution against the Reapers.

New Ability: Biotic Wave
The Prothean adept can generate a wide and powerful biotic force of energy that can throw a group of 3 or even 5 individuals back with devastating effects.

Soldier: Yahg*

The yahg[/b] are a sentient race of towering humanoids native to the world of Parnack, known for their violent and aggressive nature. Consummate predators, the yahg possess unrivaled perceptiveness and mental adaptability. When the Council landed on the homeworld of Parnack with intentions of peace, they were massacred by the Yahg, thus cutting off their homeworld from the rest of the galaxy declaring Parnack off-limits. Now they return, only this time seeking aid against the Reapers. Seeing that the Reapers were a much stronger threat than their own, the Yahg agreed and were then unleashed upon to help quell the tide of war.

New Ability: Scorched earth
The yahg are known for their brutality as well as their strength. The scorched earth ability is similar to that of the biotic nova, with a few differences. While Nova has a surrounding effect, scorched earth is more cone spread, has a much farther radius, and when the yahg pounds the ground it emits an explosive effect with high amounts of damage.

Take note: Like the Krogan, the Yahg have a stronger and unique version of melee. Unlike the krogan, the heavy melee of a yahg is charging head on into the thick of battle. The regular melee of a yahg is equivalent to that of a krogan's heavy melee

Engineer: Ex-Cerberus Talos

Thanks to the funding of the Illusive Man and the schematics of billionaire and arms manufacturer Tony Rhodes, cerberus engineers were able to create power armored Talos units that gives them superhuman strength, durability, and an array of weapons. The power-armor was created as a means to turn a shocktrooper into a walking tank. When the Illusive Man's ethics of control were too much to handle, Mr. Rhodes defected and gave his army of iron soldiers to the Alliance.

New Ability: Battle Systems
A hybrid between Hunter Mode and Matrix, Battle Systems buffers up the weapons damage, durability, and powers of the Talos operative. When activated, weapons are more deadly, powers do more heavy damage, and shielding as well as health are boosted. The suit is also equipped with a passive shoulder turrent. The only drawback is that the Talos operative is much slower, the same speed as that of a walking krogan.

Sentinel: Yagh*

New Ability: Omni-Shield
The yahg are not only known for their ferocity, but for their cunning as well. They have the intelligence similar to that of salarians and can learn at an astonishing rate. As a result, the yahg have utilized the use of the omni-shield. When used in one hand, the impenetrable shield blocks all attacks while still allowing the yahg to use a offensive weapon in the other. The drawback is that no other powers can be used while the omni-shield is being used.

Take note: Like the Krogan, the Yahg have a stronger and unique version of melee. Unlike the krogan, the heavy melee of a yahg is charging head on into the thick of battle. The regular melee of a yahg is equivalent to that of a krogan's heavy melee

Infiltrator: Ex-Cerberus Ghost
Before the deployment of the Phantom units, experimental prototypes were attempted to create the ultimate assasin in combating Drell assassins. With the help of the Illusive Man and operative Kai Leng, cerberus scientists were able to create Ghost operatives, more durable yet agile agents of the organization. But with the overzeal of the Illusive Man and the unethics of Kai Leng, many Ghost operatives defected to join the Alliance.

New Ability: Homing Shurikens
Ghost operatives have the ability to utilize homing shurikens that lock on to their target and seek them out. The Ghost operative is able to throw a large shuriken, which then separates into smaller ones and attacks their target. Upgrades to this ability include multiple shurikens, more bleeding damage, and even explosive effects.

Take Note: Ex-Cerberus Ghosts are able to use monomolecular blades as their melee ability

Vanguard: Prothean*

On the planet of Klencory, the the eccentric volus billionaire Kumun Shol, who was been ridiculed for his visions of "beings of light" protecting organic life from synthetic "machine devils", discovered a network of hidden stasis pods. These so called beings of light turned out to be Protheans in vita-pods. The Protheans arose from a single planet and developed an immense galaxy-wide empire encompassing many other spacefaring species. Believe to have died out in the last galactic purge, the Protheans have risen back to life to seek retribution against the Reapers.

New Ability: Biotic Fallout
By playing with the molecular atoms on the battlefield, the Prothean vanguard is able to rain down a barrage of multiple, mini-biotic warps on their foes with devastating effects.

*Yeah, I know these have a long shot to be included as well. But hey, you never knowImage IPB

I just want less bulky and blocky weapons.

I wonder if it's just Bioware's art style, but it's kinda silly. I like how the reeger looks, like everything is in it's right place.
But Harrier and Kyrsae are kinda off. It's like "Wth is in that thing", so much volume.

Less blocky weps bioware, pls.

Not that I don't think having Yagh as multiplayer characters would be awesome (quite the opposite in fact), but wouldn't their body's be too large for the animations used by every other character.

For Yagh, wouldn't it be possible to suggest they were experimented on by the Salarians to fight for their cause, and genetically modified to be smaller than standard Yagh.

I say NO MORE CHARACTERS until a new GAME MODE. Preferabbly a L4D style point A to B type thing using campaign maps.

Also make a dang patch that actually fixes what it states to fix. Namely ULM, vanguards glitching, and blanks on all projectile weapons.

- Destroy target (e.g. communication tower, AA guns, etc)
- Defend civilians (wave 11 objective)
- Recover friendlies from behind enemy lines

I'd like to see new game modes as mentioned by Creakazoid. Also new enemies.

How about Collectors, or some Mercs? Not every merc would necessarily be working for the alliance. I think fighting a variety of mercs such as biotics, and robots, and techs as well as the usual soldier fare would be fun.

I have to admit I like the new characters too. I get bored playing one type all the time so I rotate pretty frequently.

Your story for the yah doesn't make much sense because the reapers were gonna leave the yah alone as they weren't a spacefaring species. It would have been better if the yah who were being tested on at stg bases were used as soldiers which were controlled using implants to give them the intellect of say a turian. I don't think yahg are very smart, I thought the shadow broker was an exception to that. I like the ideas though. Maybe his normal melee could be him bring his shield up and smashing it down like the krogand head butt. The protheans are a long shot but it is viable. I wanna hear more about the shotgun. And maybe raloi could be in it as their homeworld could be threatened as they are an actual spacefaring species. Also a drell assasin infiltrator would be awesome. Maybe a drell sniper.

Maybe I am alone in this, but an extra hard mode where you could import your Shepard sounds fun to me...

Of course, importing a 60lvl Sheppard would make anything easy, but still...

That might actually work! Well, I mean if we have good A.I. for the civilians and they don't be frustrating for the players

- Replace the Geth with a new enemy (ex. Collectors)
Since the Geth and Quarians reached an agreement to fight together (if you took the necessary steps to ensure this), I feel weird fighting them the same as we would Cerberus and the Reapers

- Have a battle perk (like the thermal clips, medi-gel, rockets, etc.) that would have an artillery strike on the map from a friendly plane to take out enemies when your team is overwhelmed

- New objectives that encourage more teamwork, by requiring each player to patrol a corner of the map or activate a console while another player is on the opposite side doing something else (only if there are 4 players active, just in case someone leaves mid-game)

New Enemies:
- Collectors (Scions, etc)
- Galaxy Defectors (similar to Mercs, but would include Batarians, etc - who fight for their own survival in war)

Technically the multiplayer takes place halfway through the singleplayer so you can have geth as enemies because you havnt made peace with them yet. Artillery strike wouldn't work because half the maps are fully inside and that means no artillery striker inside buildings.

I COMPLETELY forgot about that! I was hoping that that planetary description would show up somehow in ME3, but it seems the writers forgot about it. Idea for SP DLC, Bioware?

Drell Infiltrator
Why does this not exist? They're supposed to be assassins.
Tactical Cloak
Frag Grenades
Shadow Strike - Can only be used at close range. If the player is visible, they automatically cloak after the attack. If the player is already using Tactical Cloak, it disables for the attack then reactivates. When it reactivates the ability duration does NOT reset, it carries on from where it started. Is unaffected by the Tac. Cloak rank 6 evo that gives a free power use.

Asari Commando Sentinal
Those Asari Sentinals in ME2. Tech Armor, Warp and... Energy Drain maybe?

Asari Commando Vanguard
classic ME1 Vanguard without Biotic Charge. Focusses on debuffing enemies using Prox Mine, then hitting them with Assault or Sniper Rifle fire. I've gone into this idea before, near the end of tis thread:

http://social.biowar...2307/3#12183305

They Commando ability is called Oppress. This slows down a target (including attack rate) and makes them more vunerable to weapon fire.

Also anything reaper based is bound to be powerful. I mean look at the reaper black star.
