I bought Mass Effect 3 on Origin and the game turned out to be English only. I wanted the game in French. I managed to find an unofficial language pack online, but everytime I update ME3 it deactivates the French.

Can I buy a copy of ME3 in France and then activate it on my Origin account in the UK or are there region lockouts?

As I have already bought the English version, will the French version install as well or can I only have one copy per account?

Why have EA done this? ME and ME2 could be played in any language.
