Is there an active "matchmaker" in the lobby right now?

Before the patch, I was getting in matches with people N7 500+ with my N7 being (at the time) 60. They didn't seem to mind me and I did my best to keep up. I admit that I'm sort of terrible at anything that involves shooting.
Now, I'm getting saddled with people around my rank which is definitely Not Good. Because if more than one of us is sort of crap, we're screwed. I think I died less that one time I accidentally got dropped in an in-progress Gold match than I have lately just playing on Bronze.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that not everyone has installed the new DLC and there is simply less people you can play with now.
And if you don't want to play with unknown people... maybe try to get to know them?
This is my vote. At the moment - without a statement from Bioware that they changed matchmaking I really don't believe that it happened. I think it's just coincidental that you're in lobbies with people of similar N7s.
As more and more casual players install the DLC you'll see lobbies get filled up faster.
Although I would be curious to see a response from someone who hasn't installed the DLC yet - do you notice any changes in matchmaking? [Most people that frequent these forums have already downloaded it though.. yes, I know]
It's impossible. So only high levels installed the DLC? Because it can't be a coincidence, is a drastic chance in the number of high levels that show up,
Impossible = high level of certainty
But every post/thread about this topic is pure speculation without a statement from Bioware. [Bioware - if you're reading, please put this speculation to rest and release a statement about this]
And I don't meant to say only high level N7s installed the DLC but they tend to play more often and follow the news/updates more. The DLC only came out 2 days ago and they are most likely to be the first ones to get it.

Still impossible to me^^
I hope for a statement, at least a "we are looking at it" or "nothing to worry, we changed nothing, lobbies will normalize with time". This would be nice...

That seems to have worked for the other players that read the suggestion to try it (seems most haven't), I haven't had a chance to test it myself completely.

Did you guys read the other thread? Try applying a manual update through Origin.

I suspect N7 rank matchmaking, which I totally detest.
Mot of the poeple I play with on a regular basis have an N7 a couple hundred less than me but are way better than me since I like to promote (hate wasting character cards) and they don't. It would suck to not meet any more cool people like that due to some arbitrary number.

No, sorry about that. Yesterday's update seemed to have fixed it temporarily. I wasn't aware that the problem was back, as I hadn't yet tested it out today. The problems are back today and manually updating doesn't help. Now it's also affecting the players on the consoles that just got the patch today.
So at least there's more people to complain about it and get Bioware's attention on the matter.

If you are 360, my GT is the same as here, you are more than welcome to join our games, we almost always play silver however we welcome newer players, skill not critical as the team works together, all we ask is you stay close to one of us

I'm playing with a friend, n7 120 while mine is around 1100 - we wait and wait to eventually get 2 players with n7 620.
She plays on her own - is matched with two n7s 130...
THE HELL, bioware, the hell?
