I know people said they won't touch anything before EC will be out and made for their specifications. But some of us just wan't some weapon packs or what's not to pass the time. I get pissed off everytime there's a new MP dlc pack. but no love for the SP... SP DLC's are what brings new life into games after launch and encourage replays. Whats the plan? Release EC half a year after launch and hope everyone will drop the new games they are playing, download EC, and initiate a nerdrage fueled holocaust because it didn't live up to their impossible expectations? That's a HORRIBLE plan. Posted Image

How hard would it be to port all those MP gun packs to SP? The guns allready exist... No need to worry about rebalancing, It's SP; you won't be seeing posts from husks complaining the striker is OP. Posted Image

Either move the entire team working on pumping out monthly MP DLC's to the EC projects, or split there time evenly to create SP DLC's aswell. I'm not asking  for something fancy, just a bunch of weapon packs and skins(?) Posted Image

They are working on the EC right now. The game came out two months ago, it will come out eventually. Probably fall at the earliest.

All about marketing. The EC will come first before any sp dlc. Otherwise it would appear that they are not focusing on fixing the issue that hurt so many people.
Multiplayer is a different team

The EC is going to get priority because of the uproar the ending caused. All other SP stuff is put on hold.

If BW does any shifting of people, it would probably be to help get the EC done and out as soon as they possibly can. You're just going to have to be patient, OP.

As you know it's two different teams working on SP and MP. I doubt they are going to start swapping people around just to make skins and weapons. Everyone will just have to be patient.

They're probably focusing on the EC, because it's success (or lack of) will likely affect just how many people will be purchasing their SP DLC.

Pretty much what Raf1940 said.
but also their probably doig some test crowds to see what kind of SP:DLC would be liked or not, let alone you can bet those will not be free(which is cool with me)

Admittedly, I am a bit interested to see what kind of DLC it'll be.

I doubt it's squadmates, as that just seems idiotic at this point. It's got to be something story-related.

They all know SP DLC wont sell well after a ending like this. The EC is not going to fix it so they focus on MP instead.

Mass Effect 2 got every month a DLC pack remember ?, the game was well received by the fans so they created more DLC's to earn more money from it.

Exactly! And I was happy to pay them for the DLC because it was an enjoyable game for me.

ME3? Not. A. Single. Cent.  unless they fix this.

They're on the stove, sizzling on the backburner while they keep focusing on MP.

All other SP DLC got delayed. And you know why? Because people whined and complained and wanted something different. So yeah, it's the community's own fault we haven't been to Omega(please?!) yet.

Well, its summer now, so we should be expecting the EC soon.

I can't wait for DLC.

All of the Single-Player team is working on EC.

After EC, I think it's safe to say EA/Bioware will divert everyone to damage control and pump out good and free DLC to please the fans.

And it's still summer in august/september, so we could be getting it that late.

The game already suffers from rushing, let them take their time with the EC.

EC is damage control, DLCs after will likely try to cash in on the regained fans. I hope for LotSB-quality DLCs though, and I do not imply anything but the quality and amount of content, so don't go all fire and flames if you kinda hate Liara or she having more content than other LIs.

EC.

If there had never been a controversy over the ending, it is likely Bioware would be working on SP DLC right now that did not have anything to do with the ending. All of that has been put on the backburner.

That being said, I also expect less SP DLC for ME3 than we got for ME2. Ending controversy aside, the addition of multiplayer all but guarantees that there will be less SP DLC. Why spend a lot of time and resources crafting SP DLC when you can churn out MP DLC mappacks on the cheap and get a lot more for your investment? An increased focus on multiplayer makes better business sense. It sucks however for those of us who like Mass Effect for the single player game.

The time of EC's release will also matter because even if it's a stellar success, the sales of other SP DLCs will get harmed severly if EC delays everything till like fall/winter or even 2013. As each day passes, the number of people willing to buy DLC for any game decreases. Omega may flop if it's released in like December, even if EC is super amazing. And that would mean no other SP DLCs. So as much as I want them to make EC great, I also want them to release it within a resonable amount of time, not so late it will kill any SP DLC sales anyway regardless of the quality.

I would love a SP DLC. I've played SP many times over already, it would be nice to have something new. Maybe some extra side missions to visit different races.

EC is part of Damage Control.

EA is stupid but that won't try to cash in so soon. I say they will wait up to five months before they start charging us again

EDIT: They said we would get EC in June

LotSB sold pretty well, and that was released in the timeframe after the game's release that we're likely gonna see with the next DLC for this game. There'll be plenty of buyers (myself included).

I hope that SP DLC will have more weight than the MP. Don't get me wrong: The MP is good to pump enough life to make the game more fun, BUT it should never trump the SP DLC experience as many gaming companies believes that Multiplayer is top dog rather than the Single Player experience. Putting more SP exp. in ME3 should keep the loyal fans happy, but add a healthy dose of MP should keep general gamers satisified. Also if they will do more SP LOTSB style, we should have one going back to virmire where the other squad member(Ash or Kaidan) was sacrificed, it should do like the Normandy Crash memorial from ME2.
