I know what you said, I actually agreed, see the whole point about the n7 5, 6, 10, 20 etc. But rather than see this go I would just like to see it refined a little better, that's all. Bioware tried to do something because fans were complaining about matches with bad players, and wanting some kind of skill level system to help get in better lobbies. We all know fans talked about that for a while now. They tried to do it quick it's not perfect, but I hope they refine it rather than dump it.
If they made it optional and improved it, I could see that.
The problem with the way it is now is that there doesn't seem to be a way around it. The system doesn't look and then decide that since there are no lobbies for you to fit into, "you can go into this one instead."
My experience: If there are no lobbies that your N7 level fits into, you wait. And wait. And wait. And if you host a lobby, and there aren't enough people around your N7 level looking for that match type, you wait.
The playerbase just isn't large enough to compensate for splitting the community like this.

Get friends.
Play private games.
Profit.
Of course, given your attitude, I can see why the first step might be a problem for you.

Then give them to me. I'd rather play a Gold with three N7 1's then spend the entire night waiting for 1015's to find me.
/sign again for Rollback.

Matching n7 is flawed because n7 does not equal skill and can be decieving about amount of time played. N7 rank really only indicates how many times promote has been used.

We wanted minimum levels NOT match making.
I don't mind carrying those not as able as me. What I mind is seeing someone without 16 levels or good level X weapons on a Gold lobby

Thus, you get Xbox players saying it's only a few more mins waiting while PC & PS3 say it's 6-12+ mins & worse if you're high level

Do you ever play with better players when you started out to learn how to play the higher levels or did you play with people with 50 scores all the time. I think I'm about 180 but lower ability 180. Will be much tougher to play with better people and thus learn.

Bingo !!!!!!
I actually enjoy the new matchmaking system alot more now.
In other words: Does N7 ranking matter??? I don't want it to, but evidence CLEARLY suggests otherwise.

This system has simply removed the ability to play for a ton of people. They cannot play because they cannot find a match or cannot find a match they want to play. And you're telling us that there's going to be a discussion IF it's rolled back? Good God. I can't even wrap my mind around that. Whoever made this decision should stop being paid in actual money and just get the equivalent in gift certificates to Denny's. Then the suits can spend a week "discussing" whether to change it back while they try to figure out how to pay their power bill.
There should only be one official response for this. Immediately changing it back and publicly apologizing for having done something so incredibly daft to begin with.

We can deal with those. At least they're amusing.
This IS NOT amusing. Not in the slightest.

The N7 rating of a player is a double-edged sword really. This has been discussed extensively here on BSN, so i aint going to go into the details of it again.

It's funny though, all the high N7 people that like it are saying they don't want to be grouped with lower N7s... but I've actually been having better overall games with the N7~200s that I'm getting grouped with now than I've ever had with high N7s. In fact, whenever I do happen to get a high N7 in the mix now, they're crappy players.
But it just takes way too damned long to find a full group that's not FBWGG. I don't even feel like looking for matches right now. I want to play, but I'm not willing to put up with the crappy match-finding anymore tonight. Probably will play for a bit tomorrow but definitely not as much as usual. I can see my interest in MP petering out already...
