Didn't know about this, but it's stupid and has to go.

This is horrible, MP is almost unplayable if you dont have friends to quickly fill the lobby. Going to have to take a break until this is fixed.

I hope BW guys bring back everything to normal soon...it has become impossible to make public matches from start and on top of that N7 rating doesn't mean anything in terms of skill

Wow this sucks, this game was better with the N7 mixed, if I don't get throw mid game it's in the same lobby with the same person time after time and no one else join D: they must roll back this stupid system back ¬¬

At least they must have put a poll or something to ask for our opinion before do this -o-

I just played my first game in 4 hours, one 3000+ connected and we soloed two games together.
Are you kidding me bioware, do I have to lower my n7 score to get company!

I'm not a big fan of matchmaking by N7 rating; I know it was something that some members of the community may have been vocal about, but based on what I and others have experienced, the original matchmaking system worked just fine.

No way I really like this. Who cares if I have to wait a few more minutes for my fellow N7 1000 ish players. Haven't lost a single gold since this patch. But since everyone is crying about it I better enjoy it while it lasts. I understand the discontent, but I really don't care about waiting a few more min. Everyone I find now has mics it's fantastic. And yes I have a lot of friends that play me3, but they don't play as much as I do

My team of 3 noticed this last night when we were running Unknown/Unknown/Silver. Our N7 ranks are 2689, 1574, and 900. Most often it was just the three of us doing the matches because we were tired of waiting for a 4th. This wasn't a HUGE deal, but it's ridiculous how long it takes for a lobby to fill up now.

EDIT: And I'm sitting in a Bronze lobby with a friend right now, our N7s are 2707 and 1338, and we're still waiting for two others (five minutes later). All I want is to level up my newly promoted classes and this matchmaking system has ruined even that.

Disagree.  It's already hard enough filling ps3 lobbies.

Everyone with mics?  Good lord.  I would mute and put in some music.  Or just leave.:innocent:

Says something when you still have to carry the team when everyone is N7 700+: N7 means jack.

ya when there isnt many people on me being over 3200+ sucks.
my friend is 2800+ we play together.... well when we can actually get a group for more than bronze.

bored with never getting players to you know .... coop play with.
sure we could prob 2 man silver/gold but holy hell kiting for 30 mins to 1 hour is boring.

*sigh*... cant wait for Guild Wars 2 to come out.... at least there will be people to play with.

So... this would be why I have always been dominating the ranks in MP recently... normally I am the third/second best in the team, but lately i've just been at the top every single match... My rank has been sitting steady at 240 or so... for the last month or so. I don't promote my characters and just play as the same class over and over again >.> No wonder I haven't succeeded in ANY (gold/silver) mission since earlier this week...

Or maybe you've gotten better. That's also a possibility. N7 means nothing.

N7 rank means nothing, but the new matchmaking system means that the pool of players he's playing with has sharply narrowed. It might just be that the average skill level of his group is slightly below the average skill level of the group as a whole.

Ir actually makes it both harder for new players, and easier for experienced players. Newer players don't get the benefit of having experienced players to lend a hand and show them how it'd done; conversely the experienced players are only playing with other experienced players, meaning that the whole thing, even on bronze, becomes easier.

N7 rank matchmaking sounds good on paper but personally being rank 1700 is taking minutes for a lobby to fill up, which is unreasonably long. What they should do instead of getting rid of it(like they usually do to all problems) is simply make this an option. Creating a more complex matchmaking system would be a bonus IMO.

Example in online options they could prioritize these options:
Search for people closest to your area. On/Off
Search base on n7 rank. On/Off
etc. etc.

Some people would prefer waiting longer for more quality games and while some do not mind the minor convenience of ping/lat.

Let's just have the best of both worlds.

This thing actually happened ?
What was the thinking behind this ?
Was there even any thinking at all ?
Whoever suggested and whoever allowed this should get sacked - they clearly have nothing to do with what's on their job description.

I agree. It takes days to get in with a group. I do not mind grouping with someone with an N7 score 1000 points below mine - or above mine. Who cares?!

I am not sure of the intention behind this idea. I imagine it made sense on paper. All I know is that wait times being longer is not so good. I'm only doing silvers and bronze. No one cares what your N7 socre is at all.

I'm playing with the same 6 randoms over and ove again and they don't have mics. The only way to get people to play when you host is to start the match without them. They show up before the 2nd wave ends. If you get people in the lobby, they leave before anyone else shows up.

Why is the game still broken? There is no debating this. IT SUCKS. Turn match making off plz.

I see a lot of people have come across the same problem as me. For me, this sucks. My N7 rating is 1130, and I have been playing bronze all morning to gain levels for promotions, and to restock my consumables (which aside from ammo packs are currently empty). And literally, in 8 hours of playing, I have seen the same four people over and over in bronze games. And never more than one at a time. We've been doing two-man bronze runs all day. Which is not hard, but I'd like to have a full team so that we can speed through these games more efficiently.

This similar-level matchmaking must go. If I just want to play bronze and gain levels in my low-level classes, there are no others at my level to join me. I end up soloing up to wave 6 or 7 half the time before it finally matches someone else in. And then they leave after the game because no one else is joining the lobby, only to be matched back in with me on wave 3 or 4 of the following game.

The new system is horrible, it takes ages to find a lobby. Even when you find it and you want to leave (I don't like entering in already started matches), you can be placed back in the same match with ease (I entered the same lobby 6 times in a row yesterday). Apart from that, the games are now frenetic, almost no time between waves, but this can be good or bad depending on your class. And have they changed points for helping? When I used to be always first or second in score, I'm now always the last killing the same as before! (I even think I "kill steal" too much now...).I dont really care about it but I know there are elitists out there who can kick me only for that.
Or this could be due to the horrible lag games usually have now... Thinking about it, I think I can have been indoctrinated and I think I continue the match when I really died in wave 2 due to lag...

I don't understand why they add this. The N7 value doesn't mean anything. Is a useless value and does not determine the player ability.
At this point why not add a matchmaking sistem in TF2 using the number of hats owned?
