I had a lvl X Krissy and a lvl X Reegar in less than 5mins after downloading the rebellion pack. It only took 1.2 mil credits.

No big deal.

No offense, but I hate you.  I spent about 800k and didn't get a single rank of either one.

OT:  I cannot fathom how this is still going on.  Someone should be fired.  I know that gets said a lot and I know it means somebody has to struggle to find a job, but seriously, someone is grossly unqualified to do the job they've been assigned.  There's no excuse for this.

Something I've noticed in my attempts to play today - the matchmaking system seems to put a high priority on placing people in any public "game in progress." If a match is running, it'll dump the first player available into the match, apparently regardless of their N7 rating. (Or at least, it's nowhere near as picky about it as if you're still waiting in the lobby.) Just to test it, so far today I've started about ten public matches solo. Every single time, I had at least two more players by Wave 3, and they were almost all full by Wave 7.

This.  I hate being dropped into a FBWGG match when a was searching for a random/random/bronze or silver.  I

I got my first vorcha this morning.  Soldier was 19 so I set it up and took it out for a spin.  Random/random/silver.  Got dumped in a Cerberus gold match.  Keeping in mind I had no idea how to play a space goblin.  "We" won, but it sure as hell wasn't thanks to me.  =/

I also noticed I'm getting dumped in more matches preset, rather than unknown, which I prefer for XP.

Similar experience, except I got the Vorcha Sentinel. Hadn't been playing sentinels much so was level 11. Went for random bronze to test it out and also got dumped into a Cerberus gold match in progress. "We" completed wave 10 but everyone flat lined in the extraction.

This match making is such an incredibly bone headed move it makes you wonder how they even arrived at the idea.

Yea normally I play gold for money and silver for fun (because it is really hard on PS3 to quickmatch a gold that isn't FBWGG or Dagger Cerberus or something, and silver is almost always random/random).

The other day I got into a silver lobby that was Goddess/Cerb. Ok cool. We extracted and I intended to stick around, but the host wouldn't take it off that setting. So I left to look for another lobby, only to wind up in that one a few more times. Oh well. No ME3 for the rest of the day.

Oh, they are still discussing? Keep it up, BioWare, once MP is dead you don't need to discuss no more! Don't find a solution, keep the problem and all complains will go away...along the players.

The system is so much bull****, it's impossible to not see that. There is no valid reason to keep it. There is no valid reason to not have it changed till ... last friday. BioWare, you suck!

i had a 1 get dumped into a gold match in progress. i feel really bad for the 3 players actually trying. i hope they realized it was by no means my choice to hamper anyone by signing up for a gold. hell, i still haven't done one on 20 yet - and won't until i feel certain i am good enough to be a valuable team member and not a millstone around their necks.

either removing the N7 matching system or making participation entirely voluntary (click this checkbox if you want N7 score matching) would help out.

Well, that's it. I'm officially done with this game.

Barely any of my friends play the game so i've almost entirely played PUGs, before this matchmaking change it wasn't a problem, you'd win some and lose a couple. Now it's unplayable, takes ages to get into a lobby and when I finally do it's filled with low level players with bad weapons and bad ability whom cannot hack playing Gold resulting in me having to do almost everything myself.

Thanks Bioware.

Bump. Where's the rollback? Wal Mart does it all the time.

Also is this true? Jen Hale doesn't play videogames, despite all her work???

"Despite frequently providing voiceovers for characters in video games, states that she doesn't play video games, much less has any interest in them." - IMDB.

It's ridiculous that N7 Matchmaking exists at all, because N7 Rank is a lie,

Someone could be N7 120 and simply never promoted, it's been said a thousand times, N7 Rank does not reflect Skill or Time put into game. An N7-20 could be much more accomplished than an N7-2000

Stop the internal discussion already! We don't care what your discussion team as decided. Change it back NOW!

Someone should make a banner saying, "MP deserves a better matchmaking system".

I have to say the saddest part about the matchmaking system is that clearly the .... person(s) that thought it up and the person(s) that authorized it have no clue about the multiplayer and what N7 is worth. This is so pathetic that it almost outshames the store system. Actually, it makes the store seem fine. Well done, Bioware Quality Control. Well done.

If none of my friends are playing, after the weekend, I won't even attempt a PUG anymore. Takes 10-15 minutes AT LEAST to find a game, all the ones I did find except for 2 were already on at least wave 2 or 3.

I don't get the purpose of it anyway. Newbies playing only with newbies and "veterans" only with veterans, why not just get rid of the N7 altogether?

I also keep getting thrown in with the same players day after day (and they suck).

N7 = tooth fairy.  A fictional thing we believe in until we find out otherwise.

to bad N7 wasn't based off of actual gaming experience. When I first started I thought your N7 grew by each game you played or each successful extraction you lived through. I was let down to know if was just a dumbed down COD prestige mode.

Lag-based matchmaking has been a fundamental matchmaking principle for multiplayer games for well over a decade. Instead of matchmaking based on that, and instead of giving us a ping-meter, they decide to mash people together based on their entirely arbitrary "N7 Rating". Someone behind-the-scenes at BioWare is not too bright to put it very gently.
