Ok, there's some serious lack of understanding how those armor plates work on a Brute. Until you know those off, you are getting no damage at all at those places unless you have an AP mod of some kind (or something with built-in AP). After the plates get knocked off, you aren't getting 'weak point' damage, you're just getting normal damage. It just looks like 'weak point' damage because the armor was soaking up the damage.
The game TELLS you this.
Also, these weak points would not in ANY way validate putting 5 points into a suddenly useless (or less useful at least) skill for headshot damage since those weak points are not on anything's head.
This doesn't just affect Infiltrators, it affects soldiers, too. Hell, affects them more -- some Infiltrators can self-generate tech-splosions (Cryo + Sticky (if it kills), ED+Mine and Sabo+Sticky, iirc -- but I could be wrong. I just shoot stuff).

Yup it takes a whole lot of skill to hit the broad side of a barn, or it's me3 equivalent the heads of primes and windscreens or atlases. Takes a real marksmen to hit that baby.

Using your logic against you (which is easy because this is fail logic)...

Yup, it takes a whole lot of skill to just aim anywhere at the bosses now and shoot randomly.

Because that's what it has boiled down to now. Absolutely no skill required to just shoot at them, regardless of where you hit. And that's hitting the broadside of the barn.

I still have no idea if they have ever TRIED th HS a Prime before its actually pretty hard with everything going on at once, and those little movements they always make RIGHT AS YOU FIRE, and for what, the extra time we needed to stay exposed for to line up the shot is wasted now, and they can now tank all they way up to you, put five turrets right behind you and not even do any work shooting you themselves.

Boss rule # 2.1 - Bosses have no weak points.

You've obviously NEVER played any other video games before this game.

That's the dumbest statement I've read today maybe all week, and most definitely the dumbest statement I have EVER read concerning Video Game History. And I've read some stupid statements today...

It makes sense to me that in a game where all normal enemies have weakpoints, the bosses would not.

Anyway, folks, Atlii still have weakpoints. Crotch, shoulders, and knees.

it doesnt affect infiltrators' perfomance at all, it only affects the way how they get there, they just switch to new FotM weapon for a while and still own everything :)) and yeah, youre right about soldiers, wont be playing my revenant-marksman-turian as much as I used to

so what this is telling everyone is , that tactical scan on Male Quarians is actually a gimmick ? if indeed head shots for bosses is now usesless. as isn't the whole point of that power to highlight weak spots etc.

They know it's super easy because on gold matches all the primes do is circle in front of the salarian's desk shooting at the decoy. Sitting ducks.
They haven't had two primes walking up campers' hill at Condor while two more converge from the extraction zone.
They haven't had one prime in each hallway and another two on the landing pad at Dagger.
Or maybe they just panic-launched a couple cobras and figured they were all tactical n stuff.
On wave 8.

You think point-and-shoot is tactic?

Its quite the opposite my friend. Now, you can't kill the Prime with a Paladin so easily, so you HAVE to use real tactics.

funny, i thought that one of the main tactics, for a sniper at least, is one shot, one kill... i.e. headshots.

I admittedly do think that it's ridiculous that most bosses do not (or aren't intended to) have headshot locations. It's especially odd considering that one of the new abilities just added in the Rebellion DLC, Tactical Scan, is primarily useful against bosses, yet it has an evolution intended to increase headshot damage.

The thing is, BioWare originally wanted them to not have the weaknesses that they do in the campaign to provide more of a challenge. The Kishok was a fix too...sorry that an exploit was patched up. There are several other precision snipers out there. Use them. Despite the one or two bosses that run around, the rest are susceptible to damage bonuses. Go shoot at them if it bothers you that the bosses are a pain in the rear.

Personally, I wish the weaknesses were there, and that they either just buffed up the overall health or be very conservative of the HS bonus. However, it's just ridiculous at the level of whining over very little things that don't really change the game.

Headshots not doing extra damage on bosses is ridiculous, it just doesn't make any sense, period. If they want bosses to be tougher, just make them tougher!

well the HP buff would affect 4 classes and every team would have to have at least 1 inf, removal of HS instead affects 2 classes and 1 of them can switch to another wpn and dont care

You know... in all of that garbage that you took the time to type out you didn't offer one valid point.

You instead used the lamest and most tried tactic to win an argument. Attempt to deflect the discussion by aiming it at someones character and then twisting everything they say, incorrectly at that, to make them appear....what, less right?

You're the worst kind of troll. The kind that trolls themselves. Lol, you failed. Try again.

You're greatest argument just then was that I can run to an ammo box and spam grenades into a spawn...

Ehem... EVERYONE! Is this not a viable tactic? Spamming grenades at an enemy?
Has nobody else ever done this?

First, you started the personal vector. Perhaps if you're not going to succeed at it, you should forego attempting to use it.

Nope. It's your posting history and you're the one with the hypocritical tone.

According to your posts, spamming grenades into spawn is fine, but having to coordinate with team mates or lead off smaller attendant enemies to allow later concentration on bosses is now somehow problematic, except as belied by your histrionic tone, it isn't. By your own allowances primes are just as easy to kill, it simply takes more coordination now. For someone arguing con you have to bring up a valid reason other than it's what you want.

I don't. The Prime is supposed to be a 100 unit. Now it is. I don't see you crying about banshees in the same vein, though they've been proper 100 status since day one.

Banshees don't have a cannon that can stunlock you from across the map,
Banshees cannot deploy High-DPS turrets all over the place,
Banshees Do not have Combat drones that(apparently) let them see through cloak.

Primes should be a different variety of 100 enemy, not a 250 one.

They are. Instead running around the map killing everything but them, you're forced to clear lanes of egress or watch your back. They were a complete joke until now, simply locked into a stun loop while ONE teammate dealt with them in whatever manner they saw fit as the Prime uselessly flailed around making growly noises locked in a repeated pain animation.

Now they'll shoot your face off, which is the way it was ALWAYS intended to be.

The droll component of this is now infiltrators get a taste of their own medicine, and actually have to pay attention to their surroundings, instead of lazing their way through a geth match.

by the same logic:
Primes cant blink all over the place and cant get into melee range in seconds
Primes cant grab you and insta kill you so nobody can res you
Primes dont do DoT dmg

Primes are much easier to kill than Banshees, why it should be even easier with HS?

Another thing that though the Prime headshot thing was a glitch and benefited the player it wasn't game breaking. It made sense and NO ONE was complaining about it. How about Bioware fix real glitches with geth like Hunters shooting while staggered, in stasis or singularity, pyros flame way beyond animation, rocket troopers firing 2-3 insanely curving rockets at once, Primes drone not working, primes also insane turret placement ability. And goddamn stun-locking with every shot any geth takes.

+100.
I wish I said this.

and the "mini" bosses?
Phantoms can't have their head popped off anymore.
Pyro isn't really a mini boss...nor is the hunter or rocket trooper...geth's "mini boss" is their sheer numbers...
Ravager, those "weakpoints" were removed as well, check notes.
Brute, again, those damage bonus' were removed.

Perhaps I've been negligent while reading the patch notes, but can you or anyone please quote or link where this was stated?

The word "phantom" isn't anywhere in the patch notes, and "ravager" and "brute" is only listed when referenced to the Kishock.

quoting myself here... does anyone have an answer to this?
