I think that with this lack of headshots the game balance got messed up.
As I see things, the game has 3 enemies and 3 primary classes, Adept, Soldier, Engineer.
Each one of these player classes is supposed to work better with a certain kind of enemy.
The other 3 classes have more adaptability
But it's starting to be...strange that Tech Combos hurt Geths less than Biotic Combos
The game is loosing balance and the lack of headshots is another hit at the overall balance.
And I'm not a sniper but engineer and sentinel mostly
Bosses - No headshots, no weakspots, no tactics to fight them = NO FUN!

Aren't the atlas weakspots still around?

Yes it is, at the shoulder pads, the knee pads, and the groin pad. Shoot them off for a spike damage. But the Windshield no longer gives 2x damage due to Penetration damage.
Personally, I think Geth is just overkill at both extremes at the moment. Either you abuse their poor AI pathing and behaviour and murder them, or they will abuse their numbers and speed and insane stunlocking to slaughter your team. I feel that Primes need a weakpoint, similar to the spike-damage weakpoints of Atlases, to justify the stun cannon.
I'm fine with Brutes and Banshees though, because I have never used Kishock on them pre-Rebellion, so I fought them without headshots. Brute's shoulder pads can also be shot off for damage spike, if you didn't know. Banshee's sole headshotting weakpoint is because of Kishock.
Just my 2 cents. Still pretty fun except against Geth.

Doesn't the windshield and the engine at the back still give bonus damage? It's just that they don't get hit twice per AP bullet?
