Warp/throw spam should never be more viable than careful sniper rifle aim... though i actually agree on the Atlas canopy-double damage removal, i think you should be able to kill the pilot, however.
You'd think skill would be rewarded rather than button spam...but no.
Last time I checked shooting was just that, button spam. It wasn't that hard to hit the head of a slow-ass moving target like a prime. Skill? Really? Get over yourselves... yeah real hard to line up a shot on a target moving that slow.
Do it consistently on a fast moving target such as a phantom, and I'll give you a cookie. At least then you have to actually try...
Too bad you can't headshot a phantom anymore anyway. :innocent:
Bosses - No headshots, no weakspots, no tactics to fight them = NO FUN!

All you people are acting like the only thing you can do against bosses is shoot them. Yeah... forget bio-explosions and tech bursts, because those are completely out of the question. Forget armor damage/debuffing powers like incinerate/most grenades/flamer/cryo blast/proxy mine/carnage/etc.... cause all those are worthless as well.
Hello! Bio removed "headshots" from atlases too. Now with their crazy 21 000 health/shields it just boring shootfest or BE spam. Very very challenging and includes tactical genius!
Also with Kishok you could headshot everything. I don't get an idea when you can't get increased damage from shooting someone's head. Or shooting into pilot's window, what you can break in SP. Yes, you can break it in singleplayer. But suddenly in MP you cannot.

Primes are absolutely not balanced after the headshot removal: Let's compare the 3 heavy hitters:
1. Banshee - Closes in on you fast. Will insta-kill you. Apart from that - very slow Nova attack that you can prepare for, very slow walking while doing nothing, very slow Warp attack that tracks and can be very annoying and hard to dodge, but you can prepare for it.
2. Atlas - Moves super slow. Regular shots DON'T stun you. Fires rockets that track, but does an obvious animation before shooting, so you can prepare. Slow melee attacks that can be easily dodged. Has weakspots such as groin, knee and shoulder plates.
3. Prime. Moves faster than Atlas, EVERY shot of the pulse cannon stuns you. Spawns drones and turrets, and after each spawn, they can shoot again. So they can fire 6-9 shots depending on circumstances non-stop. Shots track you. Will shoot you from any range - close or far. Fast melee that stuns. Doesn't have to lock on you visibly like ravager or nemesis has to. NO weakspots.
And Primes spawn more in numbers than Atlases or Banshees.
Prime is the only enemy that had headshot removed. Primes spawn in more numbers than the other two because of farming changes. Can't have you cake and eat it too.

They may may not all have a "debuff" ability... but all have some way to fight armor. Most commonly used powers have an evolution in their tree that make them effective against armor. Soldiers have frag grenades/carnage/inferno grenades... adepts have BEs for starters, but also warp/reave and their grenades.... engineers have incinerate/turrets/cryo blasts... etc, etc, etc. The list goes on and on, but if you guys want to just sit here and cry about not being able to easily hit a slow moving target with a gun... then there is nothing any of you will listen to.Yajuu Omoi wrote...

Removing headshots from bosses just made combat boring not challenging. You just shoot longer.

There are classes that DON'T have deBuff abilities, and there are also those that did MUCH better with a sniper before, like infils, they were MADE for headshots, and high damage counts. and now?...shotgun infils will run rampid due to the lack of headshot ability...
We want to use BOTH weapons and powers equally effectively. ME2 had problems with power damage, now ME3 has problems with weapon damage.

Actually they removed the ****-pit damage bonus from shooting the window. Which is the weak-point in SP.

Atlas still has weak spots... but apparently you arent aware of them. Shoot off the crotch plate/knee joints/shoulders for a damage spike. Usually does about 2-4 bars of damage. The idea of shooting the canopy in SP was to take the driver out and commandeer the atlas. If you could do that in MP... let's just say that things would definitely be broken against cerb.Star fury wrote...

I'm sorry, but if you nerf the only effective way to kill something, at least nerf its health and shields.

Yes you can. Aim for his crotch, knees, or shoulders. You will eventually see the plate come off and do significant damage to the atlas.eye basher wrote...
You can shoot of plates on the atlas? i always go for the cockpit the neck or the spine on the brute and anything i can hit on the banshee, prime and phantom.

Fixed Geth prime and harvesters taking headshot bonus damage when they shouldn’t
So this fix effects 1 unit in multiplayer.
Fixed shooting the atlas in the cockpit with a penetration weapon doing double damage
So this fix effects a few weapons and 1 equipment item on 1 unit.
Fixed the Kishock Sniper Rifle that would hit head bone (critical hit) on enemies that should not be possible, such as the Brute, Banshee and Ravager
So this effects 1 weapon
Teh Game is broken!

Small changes can make a big difference. Kishock is no longer really worth it, and bosses are now just bullet sponges.

Yeah, we are definitely talking about regular enemy units that they are so easy to kill. It also strongly affects one of the most popular class. I like blind fanatics.

Turian soldier i relied on headshots, turian sentinel I loved headshot.
and when does it become right to make the entire infilitrator class deal with being crippled
and most bosses, in every single video game throughout history are beaten by exploiting their weak spots.
Well said, Lord Thornos.

1 weapon that takes a lot of skill rendered useless.
2 enemies "buffed" rendering all aiming for "heads" useless. Pretty big buff. That's like adding 10000 shields to both Atlas and Prime.
