Hello! Bio removed "headshots" from atlases too. Now with their crazy 21 000 health/shields it just boring shootfest or BE spam. Very very challenging and includes tactical genius!
Also with Kishok you could headshot everything. I don't get an idea when you can't get increased damage from shooting someone's head. Or shooting into pilot's window, what you can break in SP. Yes, you can break it in singleplayer. But suddenly in MP you cannot.   

Atlas still has weak spots... but apparently you arent aware of them.  Shoot off the crotch plate/knee joints/shoulders for a damage spike.  Usually does about 2-4 bars of damage.  The idea of shooting the canopy in SP was to take the driver out and commandeer the atlas.  If you could do that in MP... let's just say that things would definitely be broken against cerb.

Which part of my prev statement is incorrect, if I may ask? Atlas headshots were a glitch in the programming... all BW did was correct their game design.  Doing double crit damage was not their intention.

The point of the game is to coordinate with your team... not just sit there and do your own thing.  BEs/TBs/damage buffs/target debuffs... a little thing called teamwork, ya know?

 True, but what is the point in labelling them bosses if they litterally spawn every wave passed wave 1 and they're no more common than your average Geth. With the removal of headshot bonuses, they are nothing more than bullet sponges which basically involve you effortlessly shooting any part of their body to do the damage normally done post patch headshot.

I'm sure we're in for even more Biotic, and Tech nerfs, just to make every class evenly boring... errrr... "Balanced" next. And then, more weapon damage nerfs so that EVERY class is on an even playing field after that, just to **** everything up, in the name of "Balance". Yes, the almighty game-killer god... "Balance".

Let's NERF ALL THE THINGS NOW!!! and get it over with quicker.

Like i said, they never died that quickly for me anyway, even with headshots. now i may as well just shoot the body and not even bother taking the extra time to aim at the head. maybe they should have LOWERED the headshot bonus instead of making it worthless, i'm thinking 100-150% would be perfectly acceptable.

I highlighted it for your convenience. Sometimes reading patchnotes when talking about patch is useful. I don't see a point about "teamwork". So now team has to sit and shoot and/or spam biotics longer. So?

If we complain enough maybe they will put weaknesses on all bosses. I have never understood why there is not soft zones on the banshees and brutes. The Brute covers his head as he's walking towards you with his claw-arm, what's the point of this animation if his head can't take extra damage. I say bring back weakpoint and buff the bosses health points, this way a strategically successful battle will feel rewarding and a battle with poor shooting will feel taxing.

I don't see a point when removing headshots from all bosses provides incentive for teamwork. You have really warped logic.

nah man the tactics he is refering to is biotic spam. 

gotta be what he is saying since powers arent affected by headshot modifiers.

could argue incenerate/canage spam and inferno grenades since all bosses are basically armor in the end.

but i dont really see how that is tactics though

One asari adept can spam BE, even poor man's asari adept can do it. Very tactical.

Wait till the fix the combat drones on the Primes, where they start shooting rockets and flank you, now that would make Primes more deadly. At the moment, their combat drones do nothing at all.

I don't think it makes the game worse. I'll adjust my gameplay and it will be fine.
 
Maybe if you guys scream loud enough they will change it back, that is what you are hoping for right? It partially worked on the falcon.

Good luck to you guys, in a month and after 100,000 posts you may get your headshot bonus on 1 unit back, and your double damage(using spacific weapons and or mods/ammo powers) on another unit back, and all will be right with the universe again.

Prime is the only enemy that had headshot removed.  Primes spawn in more numbers than the other two because of farming changes. Can't have you cake and eat it too.


Actually they removed the ****-pit damage bonus from shooting the window. Which is the weak-point in SP.


Yet the other spike points remain.

There are classes that DON'T have deBuff abilities, and there are also those that did MUCH better with a sniper before, like infils, they were MADE for headshots, and high damage counts. and now?...shotgun infils will run rampid due to the lack of headshot ability...

They may may not all have a "debuff" ability... but all have some way to fight armor.  Most commonly used powers have an evolution in their tree that make them effective against armor.  Soldiers have frag grenades/carnage/inferno grenades... adepts have BEs for starters, but also warp/reave and their grenades.... engineers have incinerate/turrets/cryo blasts... etc, etc, etc.  The list goes on and on, but if you guys want to just sit here and cry about not being able to easily hit a slow moving target with a gun... then there is nothing any of you will listen to.


I'm not crying about anything.

I simply think its a stupid idea to remove the "weakspot bonus damage" so to speak, you can still shoot off the brutes armor, but it won't reduse the defence rating anymore, the banshee? IT HAS A HEAD AND WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO SHOOT IT, the atlas...soesn't it make sense to be able to shoot plates off a machine and then shoot where they were to do extra damage?

Heck, i've THROWN the plates off a brute before with my HSe, its not just shooting, the powers can no longer hit weakpoints either.

I'm not saying shooting is the only way, just ANOTHER way.
My SI has no prox mine, only SD and a gun. so now it cannot match up with a AA spec'd for massive BE's its about balance.

Bring back risk/reward he Geth Primes, incorporates strategic soft points on butes and banshees.


There was no risk in four shotting a prime. Literally none, unles you were a krogan.

uh...no...you could get headshot damage on ALL enemies with a head...

makes sense huh?  has a head = headshot...no...that would NEVER make sense... <_<

That and you used to be able to shoot weakpoints  on brutes and atlas' by shoot OFF plates of armor...now...we can't. plates still come off...but no extra damage after...
