Revan found the plans to the Crucible years ago and came up with a modification to blow up the Catalyst and the Reapers without screwing over the entire galaxy in the process.

Captain James T. Kirk bluffed that he would end the Reapers' cycle by killing all organic life in the galaxy if the Catalyst didn't leave the galaxy along with the Reapers.

Captain Jean-Luc Picard gave an impassioned Shakespearean speech that convinced the Catalyst of the error of its ways.

Captain Benjamin Lafayette Sisko was never in a video game that I'm aware of, but if he was, he never would have met the Catalyst. He would have defeated the Reapers through conventional warfare because that's how the Sisko rolls.

I'd assume my ToR Jedi Knight would respond by inexplicably trusting the Catalyst, despite it being her documented mortal enemy.

Just Cause's protagonist (I forget his name, I think it's Garcia)- "Nope." Proceeds to shoot explosives everywhere and then grapples back to Earth, with the Citadel blowing up behind him. However, he is China, so he commandeers a passenger jet and wrecks it into London, miraculously surviving.

I'm doing what Bioware wanted, speculating.

Followed by crowbar.

That is exactly, EXACTLY what I thought. The silent contempt he deserves.

Actually he was in at least two.
One of these games was called Deep Space Nine: Harbinger.

Clearly Sisko is a Reaper.

The spirit monk would have sent the vile spirit back into the abyss from which it came to be reincarnated as a bug forever getting stomped on by larger creatures.
The doomguy would have shot it full of holes and sent it back into whatever portal of hell it had crawled out of.
Micheal Thorton would have pumped it full of tranqs then arrested it and had it waterboarded for the next couple of cycles while dealing with the real villian, binary helix and their plans for galactic war.

Geralt of Rivia: Seduce the Reapers

Gordon Freeman: Crowbar.

Marcus Fenix: Kill it with fire.

Peppy: Barrelroll.

Adam Jensen: "Deja vu"

What would happen to poor Kirby if he ate the Catalyst? Would he turn ghostly and gain the power to wreck franchises/kill trillions?

The Carmaggedon guy would probably drive a car into the Catalyst. The Postal guy would shoot the Destroy tube with a gun silenced with a cat.

I have this vision of Adam Jensen choosing Synthesis, and then the entire galactic population all at once in chorus going "We never asked for this!".

SHODAN would take a bow, and congratulate him for being a more evil synthetic entity than she could ever hope to be.

Hawke: "First it was the mage who wanted to prove all mages didn't practice blood magic by practicing blood magic. Then it was the Templar who despised magic in all it's forms so she kept a magic artifact around her at all times that drove her nuts. Now it's the synthetic who wants to prevent synthetics from killing organics by killing organics with synthetics?

You know what? I quit."

How Hayabusa would have handled the catalyst Press here

And let's not forget Hayate how he would have dealt with the badguys
