There are already 8 squadmates in the game, more would just result in the same thing as ME2 - zero squad banter.capn233 wrote...
Don't be a ******. That wasn't completely serious. But they could have easily added more recruitable ME2 characters with only mild investment.
Unless you bring Javik along, the squad banter is mostly the same between any two characters. It really wouldn't have been that hard to write some for a couple new characters.
Of course, that would require effort.

Tali likely sucks, but she probably gets sick after. Unless you acclimatize her to it. Probably takes awhile... or would those backward knees get in the way?
Perhaps I've completely misconstrued OP's post, as it was extremely shallow and easily open to interpretation.

It's obvious that bioware intends to make a sitcom featuring shepard, liara, garrus, and tali. That's why they get so much attention. Bioware just needs to keep us focused on those characters.
If there should be an ME sitcom it should be Legion and Friends. Nuff said.

Have all the information before you speak ignorantly on a subject. In my first post I elaboarated and clarified as to exactly why I thought they sucked. If you are unfamiliar with the meaning of the word suck in this context youre not very aware of the english/american vernacular.

Yes, you can remove both Tali and Garrus in ME3 by making certain choices in ME2. However my problem is not that I don´t want them in the game, only that they always have a reserved spot in the squad. Meaning even if they are dead in ME3 noone will replace them, their place on the team will just remain empty.
It´s like if you have a seat reservation in a concerthall and goes to the bathrooom or whatever. Even if you are gone it´s still your seat, and as such will remain empty untill you return (alright, that probably wasn´t a good comparison, but I hope you catch my meaning).
So, my point is that Tali and Garrus should, at the least, have been "switchable" with another character(s) in ME3 (much like with Samara and Morinth in ME2), even if they are alive.

If they were going to go to all the trouble to make additional squadmates in ME3, would it not be preferable for them to just add someone like Jack (whom most would be pleased to see back on the team) in addition to the current squad rather than design replacement characters for Tali and Garrus whom the majority would never meet or care about?DevilBeast wrote...

Okay, I think I agree with Landon on this one (although I do find the all-caps-raging-thread-title a bit overboard and offensive. We all have our opinons but there is no need to rage against each others fav characters). Anyways, what I think was done "wrong" by BW is that they included Tali and Garrus as full time squadies in all three games. Now, before anyone says: "If you don´t want them in ME3 you can just kill them off in the SM", just let me explain:

THE CAPS ARE MORE TO JUST GET PPLS ATTENTION but I agree wholeheartedly on what you say....i had both garrus and tali die in various careers thinking that would make room for another character...but NOPE

And fact is my threads get attention so....the majotrity of ppl on here speak with eloquence, thoughtfulness and are articulate and I mutually engage in it, like Star Trek Mass Effect is an intellectual, cerebral, thoughtful franchise that attracts {mostly} like fans.....doesnt mean theres no room for fun though

I never read anything written in all caps, because years of experience have accurately demonstrated that the writing is rarely worth reading. Inability to write coherently is another good clue.
If you’re only opening threads to “get attention”, I’ll just report for trolling, then…

On topic, while I was absolutely extactic that Garrus got so much screen time, it's true I would have liked to have more interactions with my former ME2 squadmates, especially Miranda and Samara. For Tali... I dunno. She appears late in the game, just like in ME2.

I don´t think they should "design" completely new characters maybe just let someone else from the ME2 squad
take either Garrus´ or Tali´s spot (although that someone(s) would probably get a ton of flak from the fans of the ME2 characters who aren´t switchable with Tali and/or Garrus).
But yes it could have "balanced" the game out a bit, if at least one character from ME2 (other than Tali/Garrus). Heck! It would probably have been even better if they reserved one spot on the squad for which ever character from the ME2 squad the player chooses. Would have made alot of people happy. But again, that would have been tremendous amount of work for the devs. and near impossible to execute, I think.
And it´s not like they are going to change anything like that, now that the game has been finished for months.
And that actually beckons the question: Why the hell am I talking about this:blink:??
