FYI,  homosexuals do NOT have anal intercourse very often. It's for some special occasion; and the first time is especially difficult (true for both guys and girls). So, your character's precious "cherry" was more likely ... eaten, or ... squeezed .... not popped. Fear not, just kill that elf and forget about the past!

I assume Bioware has some sort of thread/board analysis for all their games. Like a database that totals the number of "This aspect rocked" re "WTH were they thinking" comments.

It would be interesting to be a fly on the wall at BW meetings re romance in new DA games... especially when board feedback comes up.



Also, OP def protests too much. The stomach comments are over the top. Myself, I laughed when I saw the ****** dwarf/Zev vids. The music in the background... the beard... it was too much.



Points to BW for doing it though.

He probably was so disgusted he had to go watch the video on YouTube five times over the next four hours to fully comprehend the unpleasantness of the experience before posting about it here. 

I'm glad they put Zevran in the game so guys can play with the idea of homosexuality, even if many of them then have to reaffirm their masculinity by posting about how icky it is.  Guys, if you don't find the idea at least a little intriguing, you wouldn't be flirting with Zevran.  It's ok, we still think you're macho (well, unless you really aren't).

I can't speak for JRCHOharry, but my copy is "very, very different" than yours.

Then again I'm not shy about adult content.  In my current game I'm playing a Male City Elf, and I'm sleeping with both, Morrigan and Zevran, then I banged that hot Dalish Elf chick, and I haven't even made it to the Perl yet.  I'm surprised neither Mor or Zev said anything when I sampled the Elf goods.  Ahh, well, at least the Perl is soon.  *grin*

There is nothing wrong with your character just because he is gay, don't disown him, OP. My Dalish male will probably be gay when I make him, since I always thought Legolas was kind of gay.

This could be interpreted as some sort of comment by the devs on masculinity and gender roles, but is probably just due to the male elf model not working in human male/Zevran cutscene, and convenience of using the same scene for elves of both sexes. 

The fact that the default for the human PC is top I think does say something about common attitudes.

I figured as much (especially after seeing clips on YouTube of the gender flipping mod that allows players to have a M/M romance with Alistair, and the bugged animation of the cutscene). My response was to the guy asserting that there's "no way" that Zevran's a top.
