I'm Italian and I'm offended by the fact that Orleis is COMPLETELY 16th century France and Ferelden is England or Scotland or whatever and Bioware didn't make a country based off Italy, worse, they took all the society aspects off it but make it sound like Venice was in Spain,my guess would be you didn't have enough voice actors who could do a good italian accent for your characters and so you resorted to having the whole spanish in italy thing right,Bioware?

Lol dude, get over yourself. If it was that way, every person from a place like Australia, China, Canada etc would be pissed off that a country on DA wasn't made,  after them, there aren't an unlimited amount of countries in Thedas, so what that they didn't choose Italy as a country to make.

Mr. Gaider just replied to that comment before you even wrote it...

"Many of the Thedas countries have a blend of influences... if you insist on putting them into strict categories, you're going to be disappointed."

I urge you, Lolzotr, to check this video out:
It's a documentary about this.

There's also the small things, like France (Orlais...) didn't had an emperor until Napoleon during that time period Dragon Age is set in. Orlais has one... had. He's dead? Loghain brought him down. Does that mean he's dead...?

Yes, Antiva is a fictionalized version of a medieval Italian city-state like Venice. It's not a perfect comparison by any means, but then none of the Thedas nations are meant to be. They're inspired by real-world history, but that's where it remains.

No, we did not use an Italian accent for Antiva.

And marioflag is half-right in that the original name for Antiva was Calabria. But only because we liked the sound of it. If there are any further similarities between the real Calabria and the Antiva that we have now it's purely coincidental.

Shame though. If Leliana's accent is correctly french, and Ferelden's accent is correctly english.... why can't Antiva's accent be correctly italian, too?

Ferelden is roughly inspired by Scotland. Are you suggesting that they should all be speaking with a Scottish accent?

It's not our intention for you to think "Antiva is Italy", "Orlais is France", etc. Many of the Thedas countries have a blend of influences... if you insist on putting them into strict categories, you're going to be disappointed.

Are Par Vollen and Seheron inspired by which areas?

It's not. The qunari as a people are one part Middle Eastern culture (as they compared to medieval European cultures), one part Mongol horde and one part Borg. Par Vollen is where they live.

There you go, the big man himself says its not totally whatever you think it is. So shush

And he says that the land he comes from is allways trying to kill them also a link to what used to be scandinaivan.
And becuse he sayd its up north and well the more north you go the colder it gets.....so is the Dao world upside down?

What does "upside down" mean?Supposing the DA world is the same shape as ours and it's axis is oriented the same way,it just means that Tedas and Par Vollen are in theSouthern Hemisphere ;)
