Just don't nerf the cloak at all.

I can't wrap my head around opinions like this. Tactical Cloak is superior to, for example, Adrenaline Rush in practically every way. Where they're different, Tactical Cloak's own mechanics far exceed Adrenaline Rush's.

I just don't understand. The weapon specialists lose in weapon damage to the class that's supposed to be a combat/tech hybrid.

What.

How so? It's superior in damage, but that's pretty much it. Adrenaline Rush (depending how it's specced) gives: Damage boost (which works on powers/grenades, much like TC), damage reduction, instant reload and restores shields, all on a rather short cooldown that is unaffected by weight.

TC's versatility trumps every build Adren Rush can utilize. Damage reduction? Cloaked people dont get shot at. Damage? Lol, that goes to TC. And you can do objectives and revive people virtually risk free.

You forgot the 40% BASE increase of sniper rifles, and the 90% power damage, while lowering its cooldown to 3 seconds, even if you have a Claymore+Javelin.

if you do take out the damage bonus, add that you can revive one teammate on gold without losing cloak.

Cloaked characters don't get shot at? I'll send a memo to the enemies that have killed me in the many gold games I've played-they are doing it wrong. :-/ (Not saying I die all the time, but cloak is not nearly as cloaky as is being implied)

Nerf the Tac Cloak or buff the other classes. It's ridiculous that a GI has some sort of divine right to be number one on the leader-board every game.

Everyone who whines about this simply needs to L2P like the rest of the non-stealth classes.

No sir.  You get to deal with bugs like the Justicar damage bonus and get your working skill nerfed too.

Enjoy!

Actually, I find I get shot at quite a bit in cloak. Already said TC has the advantage in damage (moreso with a sniper rifle). You neglected the instant reload and shield boost too.

Relatively speaking, there's actually quite an insignificant minority calling for it.

Stop demanding nerfs, it's not a freaking starcraft game. It's just a co-op multiplayer for fun. And you ruin it guys.
For now, the geth are already not fun to play against. Keep like that, and in a few months MP will be dead. Not everyone here playing on gold everyday with a team...

If anything they should buff the other classes to be on par with Infiltrator damage.
Just tried my soldier again on gold... I tried Valiant III, GPS X, Claymore X and Falcon X... no matter what you do the damage is just pitiful.

Claymore X on the human produces insane damage, and AR provides an auto reload. I don't know what you were doing but the dps on a Claymore wielding soldier is better than a Claymore carrying infiltrator, IMO.

Still will survive anything a Hardening/Shield Boost Adren Rush character wouldn't, unless the player is dumb and cloaks in front of the enemy's face.

Well they nerfed biotics, sabo, falcon, etc. Hard to imagine that cloak doesn't get nerfed at some point. Cloak is way better than all of those things.

My definition of "fun" implies having some weight on the team, not reading some newspaper while the Infiltrator gets all the fun because (s)/he doesn't let me even hit anything.

Oh, you mean like being on a team with a well played Human Vanguard? Or being the lone weapon user (Soldier, Infiltrator) on a team of biotics with their screen shaking explosions everywhere?

If you do decide to screw over cloaks only working ability and you do decide to nerf the damage, then please make invisibility count again.  Make it so enemies can't see u unless it's a boss - I.e primes/banshees/atlas and teched out enemies I.e nemesis coz they have magic sniper sight/hunters coz they have hunter mode/brutes coz they can smell u. The rest of the enemies should have to wait until cloak wears off b4 they can detect u. Unless of course they are in very close proximity to u when u cloak. In which case they fire on ur lat known position.

They should nerf the damage bonus, but ONLY if they buff EVERYTHING ELSE.

I want to believe that I am a competent HVanguard, and I try not to annoy everyone, plus I am in constant danger, and definitely don't have the sheer amount of damage an infiltrator has. And if I am the lone weapon user (which I am more often than not, or the only techie around) in a team of biotics... they still need a bodyguard. I don't have problems guarding the flanks or the rear while they murder everything they have in front of them, but that is assuming there are 3 of them. If there are 3 infiltrators and I am the soldier, I can say goodbye to getting a single kill unless enemies spawn right in front of me.

Then, if you want a "perfect" cloak, Hunters and Phantoms should get it too. They are easily spotted from one side of Giant to the other.

Well, not infiltrator fault that 90% of weapons suck.
Lets take a look on the Phaeston - "fine balance between accuracy and firepower". He have 47.6 damage per bullet. Cannibal on gold have 2025 health. Without headshots, you need 42 shots. Practically the entire clip. Is that really an assault rifle?
The balance in MP was screwed from the start. Nerfing something will achive nothing.

It's not that weapons suck, it's that they improve power damage by 90%. I can kill at least 2 cannibals (and leave a third one badly damaged) with a Phaeston clip, but then a GI comes to a spawn, shoots a proxy mine and... and then there is nothing left because he oneshotted all the Cerberus troops.

So the soldier just has to deal with having the bad weapons?

... just lol. Then what is the point of the other classes? The only ones that rival the potential of infiltrators when it comes to obliterating the enemies are biotics, and they usually need a team built around them to be at their peak (which is higher when coordinated, as shown by some of the best players).

So I'm a little confused. I played as my Infiltrator last night (post patch on xbox) and the enemies didn't see me when I cloaked. Are you guys talking about just carrying the objective when you can't be invis or all the time? Multiple times last night I'd cloak and enemies couldn't find me. It seems to be working fine for me. If it's just the escort objective where I can't be invis I'm ok with that ... even when it is annoying at times.
