Hello,
after some testing on Gold vs different enemies i think the Cerberus Vanguards Shield is bugged.
With 6 Points in Fitness (all for defensive bonus) and cyclonic modulator III, my shield is taken down by:
1 rocket from geth rockettrooper
1 shot from geth prime
2 shots from geth hunter
2-3 shots from cannibal/geth troopers
etc.
Running towards a Pyro, he starts his flamethrower, my shield instantly drops to 10% before charge begins loading. when i hit him barrier goes up to 100% again only to instantly drop to 0%, followed by death with no warning indicator since its from 100% to 0% within 0.1 seconds.
Seriously, my Geth Infiltrator with 0 Fitness and Hunter Mode survives more hits oO
Whats wrong?

You just said what I've been thinking.
I re-speced to put 6 fitness for shields and didnt notice any significant difference.

the worst part is his binary Health. Alive or Dead....

You should get some other human class with max Fitness and a Cyclonic Modulator III and compare the amount of damage they take from things like a Rocket Trooper, Geth Hunter, and Geth Prime.
Since you play on PC, it'd be cool if you could get a video of it.

working on that vid. got a short scene where a geth turret drains my shield + 90% of my hp...

Hmm, this would be very discouraging if true. I like the ex-cerb vanguard, and judging by the fact that Justicar's offensive passive rank 5 is still bugged, this would probably take forever to get fixed.

It would explain why I see Cerberus vanguards dropping like flies in the games I've played.

Got that exact feeling for the Cerberus Adept. I'm glad I'm not the only one, because it felt really stupid going down in each and every wave.

Well now there's no reason not to use a melee build.
For the Vanguard at least.

And the problem would obviously be even worse for the adept since it lacks charge.

Using an Ops Survival Kit gives you enough time to go halfway through the channeling time of Smash, until your target, the Geth Hunter, kills you (after doing nothing for a while, watching as you desperatly try to do SOMETHING to damage him)
On Bronce the Vanguard is quite fun, but even there he is not build to take more than 1 hit from anything

I've noticed it too... the Phoenix classes drop faster than an uncloaked Geth in hunter mode out in the open. Really noticeable on the vanguard because you do get killed less than a second after charging and having full shields. Maybe it's just been laggy... but it feels off.

I find them unplayable on Gold. They are more squishy than a melee specced Geth with hunter mode enabled. Perhaps as squishy as a Drell even. It's like their shields aren't even on. I'm giving up on both cerberus characters until they get buffed and/or fixed.

all of this.....
the playstyle of the phoenix vanguard mixed with these issues made me just put the all melee for fitness with the berserker mode III.
if i'm going out i'm going to @ least do some damage first.
the lack of heavy melee after charge really sets him back anyway.

I was wondering why I was sucking so terribly with the Adept. This could be why it felt like just one or two Geth troopers were cutting me down with ease. I hope someone at Bioware is willing to look into this.

I'd include a video with other human classes with the same equipment and points in Fitness being hit by the same things.

Haven't been able to put my finger on exactly what the problem is, but I've had far less success keeping myself alive with Charge on this character than I've had with other Vanguards; even my Asari and Drell fare better. Something is definitely off.

That video makes it look like you have 500 shields. Taking cover and facing cover does 40% damage reduction too.

I have noticed this, as well. I thought it was just me though. Thank you for posting this! I really felt like the drells had better survival than these guys. Must be the cyanide implants or something. Well played, TIM. Well played.

What difficulty was that on? Because the Geth do that to my Phoenix Vanguard on BRONZE.
