I wonder if Bioware even has a combat log in this game so they can easily debug this kind of thing ... we obviously don't, but given how often this kind of thing occurs I think they don't either.

Good comparison.
It does make me wonder though if Bioware snuck in and fiddled with the consolidatedini real quick if a fix was possible from there. I wouldn't put it past them at this point to try and crush as as many "bugs" quitely without notice.

they do seem to sneak in a lot of things like when they originally nurfed the falcon (that one confused the hell out of me until i finally realized they slowed it down). it would be nice to see a list of some sort with things they fix and when. but hey if they did fix it good for them. that isn't something that should hang around until some big patch is released because it completely ruins the character for those who go for fitness

i love the adept and use him a lot. i personally havent really had a problem with dying a lot with him. i skipped out on fitness and try to keep my distance and it seems to work out pretty well. plus if enemies get too close smash takes them down one hit as long as they arent completely full shields
i didn't know how to quote two people in the same post so sorry for the two seperate replies

Someone already pointed out that for some reason people that play silver and gold are the only ones reporting a difference in shields. Though I can't think of a reason why there would be such a discrepency between difficulty levels, it does make sense to test shields on the difficulties that people reporting issues are playing on. In order to properly replicate (or refute) findings you must make the test environment as similar as possible.

I have no way of proving that a fix was not implemented, other than that I have played both Phoenix characters since the release of the DLC and have not noticed a difference in the amount of damage they take.
I still maintain that the primary issue is the animation times of Smash and that for the Vanguard it also suffers from not being able to maintain the 50%DR from Charge as often.

This is not possible because a rocket on SIlver or Gold will strip the shields and cause shieldgate. Any other attack is going to be based more upon RNG and cannot be validated. The reason why the issue is more reported on Silver/Gold is because the enemies simply do more damage which highlights the weakness in Smash and the lower average DR on the Vanguard.
