@ Taboo, exactly. Make the choice for the people that matter, and I would never force change upon them, no matter how much I thought it might help. They deserve to decide for themselves.

I'm going to talk about my favorite type of art and ending on Monday. The most mature in my eyes. The one that allows dignity.

ART!

Note how it just says legend...It makes no mention of Shepard going down in history as a beloved hero...

This makes me very sad.

Stargazer calls you "The Shepherd." This is a word with positive connotations - vigilant guardian, knowing guide, companion, and of course the biblical parallels invoked by the term (which are pretty much the same.)

Stop this sh*t, it is not relevant in decision making

Oh God biblical **** in a science fiction themed story.....

I'm okay with religion but not when it's bludgeoned into my skull.

The Bible, whatever else it may be, is both public domain and rife with instantly recognizable references. Thus it tends to come up in all kinds of fiction - including, yes, science fiction.

Were you also mad at the biblical references in Bioshock? That's a science fiction themed story too, is it not?

I was more in tune with the critique of Ayn Rand.

Adam and Eve mean nothing against the vileness of Objectivism.

As I said, I am neither religious, an atheist or agnostic.

I am apathetic.

I am humam. Nothing will change that.

I still hate Ayn Rand though, and Andrew Ryan for that matter.

What a great game Bioshock was. Hell, even the second one presented the dangers of the other side...

We can certainly agree on that much.

I'm not good with the labels personally. Maybe I'm agnostic since I'm not sure about what's out there... but I'm certainly a Theist at least.

Yes, one might label me an "apathetic agnostic". I have no issue with people practicing religion but I don't like it when they oppress people with it.

People should choose to do so by their own volition.

This is why I'm not a fan of authoritarian policies.

Or Ayn Rand, doing nothing but support yourself.

God I hate Ayn Rand.

To want to know what's out there is what I like. This is why I don't like Synthesis. I don't want that change or even the option.

I want to be me.

What if a fly wandered into the synthesis beam?
Or God forbid Jeff Goldblum...

It wouldn't work.

It needs someone who is both Synthetic and Organic. Shepard fits that bill.

How about courage, hmm?

Forgive me, but I have no idea what you're getting at.

Tell you what. If they clarify Control to not be total fail for the galaxy in the long-term, I'll go with that to avoid the ethical problems of forced upgrading. How's that?

(Though if they also clarify Synthesis to be even more awesome than I currently predict, all bets may be off.)

The danger of Cronenberg's The Fly is about science. Playing with things we shouldn't.

It's a science gone wrong film.

If you would like to discuss Cronenberg's filmography I would be happy to do so in PM's.

Don't ever think I hate you Optimystic. I really enjoy talking with you. We just don't see eye to eye. I wouldn't talk to you if I didn't enjoy it.

I avoid people intentionally.

I don't agree with you but I respect your opinion.

You'll never be able to repay me for missing out on that woman though.

No, I keep it that vague because I disagree with pretty much every denomination.

How nice for you, now learn to respect other peoples choices and realize that they are just fine the way they are as well, instead of trying to change their option to destroy through peer pressure.
