Q:  What is more stressful than getting picked up by a Banshee while disarming device #4 on Wave 10?
A:  The loading screen after a match finishes.

Why?  Because it's unpredicable what our lovely ME3/PS3 servers might do.  Just like the JG Wentworth commercials say, "It's my money and I need it now!"

Everyone has a balance of XP and credits.  I only think it's fair that these get updated to the players' balances throughout the match and not the miraculous conclusion of it.  Then, if we make it to Wave 9 and suddenly lose the connection to EA's servers, or something else happens to that effect, we didn't invest a potential 30-45 minutes for nothing.  We'll still REAP WHAT WE SOWED until the conclusion of Wave 8, for example.

I've wasted more hours of my life than I'd like to know on failed connections, laggy matches, buggy outcomes, and empty rewards.  It's only fair that we get updated balances at the end of EVERY WAVE.

Yeah, but guess what: Bioware support dont care. Developers from BW does not care.

And they dont read these foruns, otherwise they would listen to what us players are complaining since the demo...

I agree, and since experience/squad rewards are cummulative among the team, that experience/money should be taken into account if someone gets disconnected at one of the last waves.

That would be perfect. me and my squad mates have been talking about this for months! glad to see we're not alone.. i hope bioware implements this as soon as possible

They should at least reward players who end up getting disconnected from a game randomly with whatever credits/experience they earned up until the wave they DC'd on. It sucks getting to wave 8 - 9 or higher and getting a random DC.

Yeah, they don't care.  That's why they were true to their word and ensured we eventually were able to take part in the weekend events in addition to showing us how little they thought of us by giving us two free commendation packs to compensate for the ones we missed in the earlier events.

Seriously, take your angst somewhere else.

As for the OP, I heartily agree.  I've probably lost a conservative estimate of around 500k credits to date on lost connections/hosts.  Even a reward after every objective (3,6,10) wave would be preferable to what we have currently.

I don't get many disconnects, but I totally agree. This should be something the fix in the future. If you go through all the waves, and get disconnected during extraction, you should still get all the credits you rightfully earned.

I'm more concerned about the equipment/consumables that get lost in the process.  Considering the random disconnects are  almost exclusively an issue on EA/BioWare's end, I can't imagine how pissed I'd be if I was someone that was partaking in EA/BioWare's microtransaction scheme.  Imagine every time you disconnect, that's REAL money you're losing.  It's practically stealing.

I will say this, the problem seems to be greatly reduced since the patch, but that hardly makes up for the lost time and/or ca$h money.

I've complained about such equipment loss before (when Resurgence released) and they compensated me in a way that left me more than satisfied, it only took them 4 weeks to do so...

In all honesty though, I had to throw a ragefit first, to get their attention, then they finally adressed me and my complaint seriously.  The thing with their customer support, you have to show them you won't back down, and that you truly are furious (even if it's something as simple as equipment).  I for one use my credit card, so I had that as leverage against them, I pay for those packs, so I'm rightfully entitled to the contents.

Unfortunately today I met a new problem with equipment loss and will probably have to contact them again.  (I set my guy up with ammo, rail amps and a power module and got shot into a game during extraction wave = wasted equipment).

I really don't think they should be allowed to sell these packs for real $$ unless they find some way to work it out so we don't lose our stuff... it's one thing if you lose credits that were earned in game, but when it goes to real money it's a bit more serious.   I think when you go into a game with equipment, the game should keep a tally of what equipment you used, and only remove it based on certain circumstances;

1 - completed the match and atleast 8 other waves
2- lose a match, regardless of when you joined the game
3- If you host and drop the game by your own choice.
4- If you leave a game regardless of host

Times you should not lose equipment:

1- When you join a game in wave 3 or later (wave 3 is your first credit wave, missing it is unfair)
2- When a host drops the game and you get sent to the lobby
3- Server Disconnects
4- When your ps3 freezes. (I'm certain they can tell if you leave a match naturally or not).
5- Any other thing that is beyond your control.

I agree. It's so frustrating to lose credits and experience because either my internet, the host or the server decides to take a break.

I completely agree with all of this.  Have nearly every single one of these happen at least once a week.  Ugh its rediculous when I throw all my best equipment on in order to tackle some gold and half way through the game I'm disconnected, loosing everything.  You should at least retain any credits/xp you recieve as long as you aren't the one to push the exit game menu option.

Makes sense that you don't get the credits for story reasons (you didn't actually survive the mission), but for gameplay reasons, I totally agree. Not just credit updates per wave, but also track my equipment. I don't want to lose my rarer equipment or use all my medigels and cobra missile launchers in waves ten and eleven on gold (with a two/three man squad, sometimes) just to have the server mess up and I get booted without any credits to at least repurchase what I lost.

Not something I'm up in arms about, but I do agree it is something that should be looked into. :)

Sorry, got no other place to show my angst.

I reallt hope they do things right and listen to what players are complaining.

But if they were really true to their words as you stated , we would have, at least, better fps.

If we cant even play like XBOX owners do, believing that they will fix these DC issues and rewards is nonsense. Image IPB

My words are true. Unfortunately.

But I have hope.

I share your pain.
I'm currently around N7 720 or so, and whilst I don't really care about my N7 Rank, if I didn't lose connection almost every game I join or people lose connection to mine I'd have at least 300 or so levels onto that plus thousands of credits I missed from losing connection in the middle of Gold matches.

Bioware need to fix this, I'm sure it isn't just my wireless connection, but I highly doubt they even give two f's for us PS3 users.
