First off, I just want closure. Not for the game, but sort of for the closure on the Mass Effect series and what it means to me. I'm ready to be done with it, and it's kinda dragging on. Second, I can has copy?

In this case you should give them more than enough time. Better to spend time for quality than rush it.

Like for ME3?

Really, it had the shortest dev time than either of the other 2 games, even with the delay.

Well, at least I learned that US/Canadian summer is different from European summer by coming here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Summer

As for when EC comes out; surely later is better, right? The longer they spend one it, presumably the more effort went in. The more effort, the better product.

If it takes 'til winter, but is done well or completely re-written (I know it's not what they said), I'd rather have that than a June release where they phoned it in.

I don't care, but if it comes out when I'm at the Olympics. I'm going to blow bioware up, I'm not in my own country then.

If people are talking about the DIRECTORS CUT DLC thing then I am sure it will be out either late June or something. However from what I have been reading from the tech support (mainly XBOX 360 section) apprently the latest DLC seems to be cuasing mad issues for everyone which I feel needs to be addressed first. Frankly I feel they need to fix the current DLC problems first.

I am sorry but I recently read "The Writing of Mass Effect 3" section of my Collectors guide, and it is safe to say there is little to no hope left for this series.

Is this related to the Collector's Edition of the game? Cause I don't remember getting anything like that.

So I too have the Collector's guide and would like to know why Mac Walters interview caused a fuss. I'm not being sarcastic, I'd just like to know why, being that the main statement I had an issue was seeing him advocate "streamlined" and "more economical" dialogue wheel choices. I did however see the fuss with the common pillars. Coming from a person who loves ME3 and has wished Bioware nothing but the best, I couldn't help but notice some off in the section. Exploration in ME3 was incredibly linear, where as ME1 was practically free roam, even if it wasn't much it was the epitome of exploration. Yes, the story lines were interactive in ME3, but comparing it to ME1 and games like KOTR or DA:O the dialogue options seem barren; ME3 had great moments, which should be noted. I'll agree with the action and combat system, as that is where ME3 truly stands out as it has the best of the three games. I know this comes off as critical, but, like I said, it's hard to defend that section blindly.

Anywho, I'd like them to focus on quality rather than speediness. Granted, it's not truly Summer yet the wanting for more clarity and closure is still simmering on high.

From the Walters Interview in the Collectors Guide, it seems the entire structure of the writing staff was built around a flawed system he describes each writer having his or he own niche and only bringing their work to one of five editors who direct these writers based on their own ideas about ME than these editors assemble the story from these parts.

That is the worst way to do this!

This structure of their writing staff not only excludes any chance of peer review but ensures that power is maintained by the editors thus negating creativity or allowing individual members to work in tandem to coordinate story ideas.

I would appreciate a copy as well. Thank you for the generosity.

As for when the EC will be ready, I think that if Bioware knew they would tell us. I imagine that they won't announce it until most of the work is done. From their perspective, they would be a lot better off announcing it late than early so as to mitigate further frustration from their fan base.

Then again, they may see this as a way to boost sales and the earlier they release it, the higher the price of ME3 will be.

That would explain some of the disconnect between the codex entries and various in game dialogue.

Wait for E3.

What kind of moron would expect anything to be announced/unveiled there? They've already made their announcement, and they're not going to spoil the bloody ending for you, that's just utter and sheer stupidity on so many levels. :?

It's best to be patient with as big a potential time bomb the EC could be. ME3 didn't wait to detonate.

They've said they won't "announce" (Seriously, people?) anything at E3 in regards to the Extended Cut, which is 100% understandable, since what the **** is there to announce in the first place, to spoil the ending?

Jesus christ, I do admire the stupidity from some people who seriously think that they would announce anything in context to Extended Cut at E3. It's like watching a flock of monkeys fight over a open jar of bananas.

Giving us a more specific date isn't a spoiler, also stop insulting people.
