Anyone who claims this thing is not OP doesn't know jack about game balance. I have it at level X and wow. I don't think i should be able to melt banshee, atlas etc. in 10 seconds on a level one character on GOLD by myself. Pretty much turns most of the weapons obsolete and saps any sort of challenge gold has.
encourages rambo behavior which hurts the team dynamic.

This thing IS going to get nerfed for sure. Enjoy while it lasts!

Better question for this is a rare weapon right and you have it at max upgrade right

So I honestly don't see this needing to be nerfed when it is a rare weapon and you have it maxed out

I have to agree, been screwing around with it lately because I keep getting them from PSPs and it's pretty powerful. It should be way heavier to at least justify how powerful it is. I don't get why this weapon is almost on par with a mattock in weight while the crusader weighs just as much as a claymore.

That was before the patch, when shots to the canopy would count twice with AP mod or ammo. Now it takes twice as long.

I take my comment about adepts being the only ones the reegar wouldn't be effective on back :o

Let's just ignore the effect of constant biotic explosions from literally hundreds of cluster grenades in relation to achieving that time shall we? Or the tiny enclosed map.

Why drop the headshot bonus? Lower the damage and keep the headshot bonus, that way you get rewarded for aiming rather than just holding fire. Makes far more sense and actually adds a level of difficulty to the gun.

My Reegar IV is certainly powerful, but it's not overpowered simply because in order to take out groups of people in a single clip i've gotta hit them in the head.

Seeing as how it seems to be an electrical weapon.. get rid of its ability to use extended barrel mod and shredder mod.

As for the weapon's base weight/damage/range etc? No leave as is.

There, Stardusk gets his nerf and can stop making threads about it.

While the weapon is still quite useful.

It's weird but i can not do the same thing in the video ..I'm not as strong as him for sure.
All that to say it'd be a shame to reduce the damage because a guy makes us the proof of his talent.

The multiplayer Mass Effect does not fit the skill of stardusk ..

Sounds good just I don't see the need to nerf rare weapons at max level of the weapon just makes no sense to me lol

I can't tell if you're sarcastic or not, so here we go: Wraith is a ultra-rare, shouldn't it be better at least? I don't think rarity matters a damn for bioware. Just take a look at Krysae and Black Widow.

There is my problem with the weapon.  It's essentially a giant evil stun gun of industrial proportions.  Why do shotgun mods work on it?  I don't mind if it is powerful, but I don't like holes in my space magic.

And why is it refered to as a carbine?  Can I see the long version?

I've read this thread in its entirety and I am appalled by the behavior of this community. All these personal attacks and insults against op for presenting his evaluation of a gun speaks volume about the maturity of some posters here.

That being said, I do agree with op that something needs to be done about the gun. As I'm writing on my android I can't quote a previous poster but the suggestion by zjarkal seems good, plus the removal of the headshot feature.

I'm not joking a Rare weapon or a ultra rare weapon should have powerful damage or decent damage when it is at max level nerfing it would be stupid because it would ruin the whole point of it being a Rare weapon if it fires as weakly as any random submachine gun or assault rifle

I'm sorry, the gun isn't broken. First, I've found that anything with armour can easily survive at least one clip (and that's on silver games). Second, the small clip size means that if you're not careful you can run out of ammo and get smashed by whatever you were attacking - especially as the short range means that you have to get very close to use it.

Now maybe the rate of fire could be reduced a bit, and I could see my way to the shredder mod not being compatible. But it shouldn't be given a crippling weight as it's not viable for most (any?) class to use it as a primary weapon. But the gun is far from broken, it just needs to be tweaked.

Also you have to remember that this is a rare drop. It's very difficult to level this gun up, so it needs to be fairly decent at level 1. Otherwise what's the point in having it?

Rare weapons and ultra rare weapons at max level should not get nerfed it seems like some of you want to destroy any decent reason of the weapon being rare

I knew the Reegar Carbine would be hideously overpowered the second I saw it.

It's an awful idea for a weapon, and you should feel awful for using it.

does the term RARE WEAPON mean anything to anybody



One If you don't want to use the gun then just don't use it


Two people will always have their different and invidual play styles if you don't like it then don't play with them

Because the other weapon we have based off the arc projector, the arc pistol, was so insanely awesome.

The whole reason why a gun gets the rare or ultra rare status is because the gun at max level would probably have great damage or do good asking to nerf a rare or ultra rare gun at max level is redicously silly


Add more weight

Wether they get rid of shredder or not it is up to them but it is a rare weapon rare weapons and ultra rare weapons do not need nerfs

This would be different if a regular of common weapon was super powerful

They couldn't have done it as fast with a Carniflex or pretty much anything else. Drell Adepts can carry this gun and have +175% cooldown bonus. This is ridiculous. Lighter than a Paladin IV for example.

Man, Graal is good for gold. Claymore is good for Gold. Black Widow is god-like for infiltrators, Harrier is good. Reegar is just unbalanced. 

I'm playing SI with Reegar. Don't get me started on how fast it kills things..

And thats coming from Drell Adetps, not even "gun class". Banshees have 16.000 of Barrier and 10.000 of shields and are being torn apart.
