And everyone would oppose those stupid changes.  What's your point?  That people should pretend things are perfect because we expect an irrational reaction from the guys in charge if we don't?

no, you goon. my point is that if you think the weapon needs to be changed, we need to clearly outline intelligent changes  to the weapon to make it BALANCED (as opposed to USELESS) instead of everyone just crying about it.

Alright, that makes more sense.
I've been saying exactly that throughout this entire debate.  Completely agree with giving well-thought out feedback as opposed to the ridiculous ideological warmongering that I keep seeing.

you guys do know that bw has no idea how to balance weapons out, and every single good thing they've changed was nerfed into oblivion, right?

if the reegar gets changed, it will end up being useless for a long, long time.

And everyone would oppose those stupid changes.  I'm sorry if this isn't what you mean to imply, but I just can't stand the philosophy that people should pretend things are perfect because we expect an irrational reaction from the guys in charge if we don't.  It's like talking about THOUGHT CRIMES.

Yeah, and that worked out so well on the last two nerfed weapons.

Incidentally, Zhk3r has a better demonstration video of the Reegar's potential.  www.youtube.com/watch  (Note that this is a no-missile 13:49 speedrun).

As far as I know, it's a close range gun that should ofc reward players for getting close. The problem is that it rewards too much. So just decrease the damage by a reasonable amount and it should be fine.

It's OP with your Krogan Vanguard, most important, in the hand of a guy that know what he is doing. It's a gun that require close range to be really effective, you will have a hard time doing that if your char aren't a tank, and it require some ability. It's like charge, if you don't know when to go and do a live hell and when to run, you gonna get killed

The Quarian Ghostbuster Machine is OP in the hand of few excellent players, with specific chars. I'm using it in a Krogan Sentinel, it's strong for sure, but not OP.

and she is fun..

I'm not against a nerf, you can give more balance to her, a little less damage, maybe more reload time, but it's not broken like you try to show. The truth about your video is that you are a good player, and this make the gun more awesome than it really is...

edit: You didn't killed the Atlas with two clips ¬¬ and more weight would be a good call, less damage but not too much...

edit2 =D - Really not against a nerf, but your arguments go against what I'm seeing. Your krogan received a atlas missile right in his face, and loose only 1/4 barrier, that could be restored rapidly with charge. Your whole build is op in the video, not the gun. Do one video where it's not beeing used by a tank, it will make much more sense. A nerf based on your video would make sense if they nerf everything that is making your krogan op, not just the gun..

What we really need is a new difficulty, more even now that we have gears, which will make a lot of builds OP when people start to get them in level V.

Hmm. Only used it twice, fairly low level.

It needs more weight or less damage. I don't think it needs Javelin weight (nor do I think Javelin really deserves Javelin weight) but maybe more like Claymore weight if it retains it's DPS.

Shredder mod needs to do nothing on it though, that is something of a problem. Also I think they should consider making ammo powers not apply to the energy weapons.

To the people complaining about Stardusk using it on KV, look at the Drell Adept speedrun video zhhk did. That's on a "squishy adept" for crying out loud. Granted, the 8 cluster grenades a piece help.

As for the weaknesses of this gun, you can get around range with a modicum of tactics as most maps don't favor ranged weapons a whole lot (or at all). Or you could put it on a Vanguard...

4 excellent players, lots of grenades, and a small map will do that.

Funny how you seem to think all the excellent players don't have the skills to recognize the relative effectiveness of choices in the game and the ability to tell what's contributing to their success and what isn't.  You know, skills that would be pretty important for them to be excellent players to begin with.

Zhk3r spends the entire video talking about how ridiculous the Reegar is.  *Shrug*

This gun, and the new sniper rifle should have been Ultra rares. The Cerberus Harrier should have been a rare.
