Ok I'm on my second playthrough and being "Evil and nasty etc". I decided to say no to helping Redcliffe. Is that it? I just move onto the Mage Tower/Elves/Dwarves etc? Surely you can't just say no and wander off?!

Course you can. It's not your fight. The Arl could be dead for all you know and spending any more time there would be a waste of time.

You can and ofcourse will be back later for the castle stage, with some revisions mind you. It's quite fun if a bit bittersweet because you miss out on the irregulars mages and chantry boards.

You still have to enter the castle I think. So no you can't skip the Redcliffe castle quest.

You have to go back to the now ruined city, say 'sup to Teagan, go towards the castle, then having Isolde running down screaming TEEEEAAGAN and then it is as per usual.

I was just trying to protect him!

Isn't that what started this? You hired the mage in secret.

I was only trying to protect him, I thought if I took matters into my own hands and dabbled in magic, which by the way, I have no clue about. I could help him hide it. By teaching the kid magic I instead lighted him up like a christmas tree for any prowling demons. Way to go!
The fact that the chantry has a military wing of fanatical templars keeping mages locked up gave me no impression what so ever that it was dangerous to dabble with.

The most stupid award goes to...
