Check the multiplayer forums. This is a known issue. They thought it would be a great idea to filter by N7 ranking without telling us. They're "considering" rolling it back.

They should rollback this and not ''considering'' about it. It's really annoying when i want to play with my friend and we must wait about 5 sometimes more then 10 minutes to someone join our game. We try to play silver (only us ) but you cant compare 30k with 70k from gold.

Seconded. This is pretty universally considered a terrible idea by the playerbase, for two reasons.

1) N7 ranking is NOT an indicator of skill, but of how many times you've promoted a character.
2) Lobbies take forever to fill up.

yeah the matchmaking has been really terrible. This change needs to be rolled back ASAP, its not helping anybody nor was it necessary, don't fix what ain't broke!

The reason why they did this so that noobs don't get thrown in a group of experienced players. However this is only to assume that N7 ratings have anything to do with skill or ability...which it doesn't.

While their intentions were in the right places, all this matchmaking process does is slows things down to a near complete stop. Player base is simply not big enough for such segregation. MP now has become another single player mode because of it.

Match settings for Bronze, Silver and Gold is sufficient enough as a basic indicator of where to find players of your level of skill.

This sux!
I wait 5 minutes trying to connect to a lobby in quick play, then I give up and try to start my own lobby, only to encounter this issue.
Why do they punish their customers?

Try this

It worked for me

I created a lobby to play with a friend and we were waiting forever.
Switch the map to FBWGG. You will see people streaming in very quickly..
