First off this thread doesn't have to be all negative. I would just like to know what are somethings you do not like about the game from what you have seen so far.

For me it would be that the main character is mute, and also the in game pausing during a battle. I thought it took a lot away from KOTOR. I'm glad it its optianal this time around, I know I will end up using it though.

I'm probably going to sound like I'm throwing my toys out of the pram, but all that blood splatter in DA:O does feel old after a while. Also, it tickles me that some of the avatars made by the folks here actually look a lot more interesting and beautiful / handsome than the (romanceables / companions / major actors) in DA:O. But I'll probably be flamed to death for saying that.

Possibly the inventory system... as later down the road I hate scrolling down lists to find an item I need.

Lack of an assortment of chainmail bikinis (Not technically asking for that, just more cloth/leather making my female characters more seductive ;p)

Guess that is all the cons I can think of at the moment... everything else seems pretty enjoyable. =)

You mean other than looking at the calendar and it not being November yet? =P

I have to agree... The avatars people have made amaze me.

for the record, the pausing aspect of KOTOR was optional too, i almost never used it.  anyway, anything i've seen and not like has been pretty unimportant. things like the bowstring issue, dirty brown teeth, and lack of a few kinds of weapons (1H warhammers, spears/polearms, etc)

Like Black_Warden said - KOTOR pausing could be turned off completely; I tend to use it in games that have it though (and will use pausing in this game) as I am a strategic thinker and not very quick on the draw w/ clicks/key presses for skills, etc. Age catching up to me :/

I don't like how dwarfs can't be mages too but the other two races can. I know the lore gives some reason but I would like it if dwarfs could have a magician or perhaps a runecasting type of thing at least but that's probably just me.

There is definately hope for your second request, considering the large number of talented modders out there

It's been my experience that often those things that I think I will dislike about a game, actually end up being a non-issue when it comes out.  Conversely, certain annoyances will certainly only come to light when I actually have the game.  However, I'm confident the total awesomeness of DA:O will far outweigh any negatives I may have.

From the character creator, I don't know of something I don't like. There might be something I don't like though.

I may find things I don't like when I play the game though.

Without having really played at all I can't say much, I don't think I'll like the inventory system much, though.

I really don't like how a lot of armors look on female characters, either. From the CC the only one that looked right to me was the Dwarf Nobles armor.

I don't mind that some of the characters look plain, they're just supposed to be average people living in a dark age society that is still putting itself back together. They shouldn't look like models, they can't exactly run down to the store and pick up some conditioner , razors, and lip gloss on their way to the salon.

I don't like all the focus on ****ing your party members , but they are not exactly forcing them on you, and they say that a grey warden (and I guess everyone else fighting the blight) has the average life expectancy of a snowball in hell, so I guess it fits, If I had a year to live I guess I would **** it up too.

I like much of what I have seen. Though my current dislikes or optimal changes are: the list inventory system and no dalish mages. It is possible I will eventually like the inventory system and hopefully it is not like ME's system. While it is not necessary to have a PC dalish mage or keeper, it would have been really cool but not feasible for the story.

Hmm things I have seen and not liked? Only one thing comes to mind, the PC only Character Creator. See I am one of the many poor basterds who cannot afford a state of the art PC and upgrading it every few months. So I miss out on the CC and the FREE bonus item as well.

This is unfair to console users to say the least. Is it because we have less money to spend? If so I am sorry but I can barely afford to eat peanut butter right now. Is it because PC gamers don't already get enough extra crap, even though the Dragon Age Toolset is another PC exclusive? At least give us a demo or something to equal the PC pandering.

So in short have fun with the Generator ye spoiled PC lovers. Just know that while you are spending that extra time installing/updating/crashing the game I will be kicking Darkspawn ass, and pretending it is you.:bandit:

@Tremble You don't have to have an amazing PC to get a decent experience. The minimum specs are quite reasonable (and if accurate most decent PCs from 2-3 years ago will run it) and even the recommended specifications are not outside a careful budget. Further, I'd suggest that it's not that Bioware doesn't wish to show you the love, but rather things like the toolset are simply outside the realm of the capablities of an unmodified console.

Additionally, consider this... if you have a console to play this game, you're either running a 360 ($200 minimum) or a PS3 ($280 at Best Buy for the 80 gig). Presumably, you're also taking advantage of some kind of HD TV (I've run both PS3 and 360 on standard def TVs and I wanted to stab my eyes out) so adding in total cost of ownership, you've simply picked a different direction to go with your funds. Admittedly, not everyone can afford both a PC and a console... but for $200 you can get a pretty nice laptop if you go stand in line in front of Best Buy on the day after Thanksgiving very early in the morning.

So to avoid completely derailing, the one thing I dislike is the lack of mulitplayer. I'm holding on for a later-entry patch-in because that's what made Neverwinter Nights last as long as it did and since NWN 2 was so weak in that area it'd be nice to see a good spiritual successor.

And for my particular favorite? The fact that the great team at Bioware is making ANOTHER game to absorb more hours from my life, because honestly after the countless hours I've spent with Baldur's Gate (and 2) and Neverwinter Nights, my visits to the Old Republic (on PC and XBox) and hunting Saren; it begins to feel like the circle is completing and since a circle goes on infinitely I'm excited for the future. So, game on all!

There's not much I can think of that I've seen and not liked or at least been intrigued. If I had to say something, I wish there were more eyebrow options in the character creator, but that's if I'm trying to be super anal.

I'm still a little miffed that rogues can't spec into twohanders or shields anymore. I'll use them, even without the weapon talents, but it still makes me sad.

I am pretty disappointed in the lack of much versatility in the chargen. Most female elves look similar, the same goes with humans and dwarves. I was told it was better than ME, but I really don't think that at all.

Apart from that, nothing. The whole getting an in game item for using the social site is kind of weird, though.

Really?  I've noticed tons of versatility, none of my female characters look a like to me, and I've made quite a few.

It must be me, then. Iunno it's just not as, "wow!" as I expected it. Your Valerie Aeducan is beautiful, btw!

I mainly dislike the fact that there aren't VO for the main characters like in ME. Although I can understand reasoning as to why there wouldn't be.

Aw thanks!

agree though, I was expecting a little more as well, especially with the eyes (eye depth, eye brow shape, and brow shaping in general leave a lot to be desired), and I'd like to give my characters a natural smile or scowl.
