It must be me, then. Iunno it's just not as, "wow!" as I expected it. Your Valerie Aeducan is beautiful, btw!

Aw thanks!

I agree though, I was expecting a little more as well, especially with the eyes (eye depth, eye brow shape, and brow shaping in general leave a lot to be desired), and I'd like to give my characters a natural smile or scowl.

Yeah the expressions are pretty wack. You can make a beautiful character incredibly ugly

Ah well. Such is life. I can expect many mods that build off of the toolset face gen.

The lack of a second origin for humans.

Not a huge deal but for the sake of discussion.

Actually, quite a few things (number of which might be reduced because maybe there is something in game that I don't know of yet).

- no scars and generally I would have liked more options in the character editor (more tatoos, hairstyles, a small influence on body measures etc).

- no dodging animations

- too much blood (I'm pretty sure it can be on/off, but I'd like a slider ... if that's already in, forget what I said)

- I would have liked one or two more origins ... if the lack of beginning classes is a problem remains to be seen. As far as I understand now, you can more or less go into very different directions with your warrior/rogue/mage from the beginning so it might not really be worth worrying about

- romance options for a male character: I definitely don't like Morrigan's looks nor attitude (from what I've seen), don't care much for Wynne ... so that leaves Liliana ...

I actually like the fact that the main character is not voiced and I can understand completely. Just listen to the voices you can choose in the character editor ... while I might find a fitting voice for many of my characters, none of those voices might fit other characters. I don't want to play a character and cringe during conversations because the voice is not the voice I'd like to be hearing.

Yes, Mass Effect had voice main character - but you played Shepard (male or female) ... a human. We'd now need voiceovers for male and female humans, dwarfs and elves. For wise mages and violent fighters ...

I didn't like that some enemies glow red (it is not in blood) when they perform an attack, like this one here:

I know it's a REALY small "Visual" detail, but I still dislike that one! Image IPB

I dislike the female chest area in this game. If they can't do better than that, then they should have made the armor and clothing conceal it entirely. It looks gross and unnatural. The chest area is a distracting eye sore to otherwise decent 3d models.

I'm not too excited about the stealth effects. And the way bows/archery looks in general; they look clunky and unwieldy to me, and the animation bugs me. The giant arms and hands on elves and dwarves takes some getting used to as well.

On the other hand, after spending some time with the CC... Wow. It looked so simple at first, I was a little disappointed. But now I think it's the best I've used in a game and I'm currently addicted to making characters. A few more hairstyles, eyebrows etc and it'll be even more amazing.

I am pretty disappointed in the lack of much versatility in the chargen. Most female elves look similar, the same goes with humans and dwarves. I was told it was better than ME, but I really don't think that at all.

Got to agree with this. If you try and make a face look like something in particular, you'll very quickly realise that you can't get the basic head shape. Loads of sliders, but not much flexibility. Also, needs more hairstyles.

The other thing (that has been discussed to death), is the lack of bowstrings. It's like having a car without wheels.

And the list inventory seems to be a RSI waiting to happen. I can see many hours of scrolling up/down that thing. With huge desktop resolutions these days, (I'm on 5120x1200 across three monitors), I'm sure a better solution was possible.

Just for the record, I'm super excited about DA: O, but here are some things I'm less than thrilled about. Image IPB

- Companion Influence Shown:

I would prefer that this mechanic be kept secret, that way the relationships feel more three dimensional and realistic for me since you're never 100% sure how someone interprets something you've said or done or what they truly think about you. You have to pay close attention and be perceptive in an effort to work at the relationship.

- Color-coded Enemies:

Again, an OOC mechanic I'd rather not see IG. I'd prefer not to know that enemy A, B, or C are above my skill or are going to be a breeze. It gives me a knee-jerk metagame reaction that I try my best to not indulge in.

- More Cosmetic Options:

I'd really love if we could adjust the height/weight of our characters. I had no idea it was really a matter of making cutscenes tougher to work with, so I can understand why we cannot. Still, it'd be nice. Other things included in this would be more hair style varieties, hair colors, scars and the like.

Wynne isn't romanceable, just saying, but you can have Leliana Image IPB

I don't like Alistair, so it leaves Zevran for me, I'm ok with it, though.
The thing that really bothers me (and I think I'm the only one haha) is the approval system. I know it's realistic and all, but I don't like the idea I can't do what I want if I want to have the members I like at my party, and have they liking me. I feel a bit limited in my actions and my party members choice (I'm not sure, but even if I want to bring Morrigan and Zevran with me, the ones who will be ok with my behaviour are Leliana and Zevran, from what I've read).
I liked the lawful good/ chaotic evil system better.
I can be surprised by it in the game, of course.

Well, I just hope it doesn't turn into a mini-game of 'keeping your friends happy' at the expense of playing the character/party you want. The Sims is fun and all, but I'd rather play Dragon Age.

Without an approval system, members of your party become extensions of your main character, doing anything you wish. You might as well have a conversation with your foot, and train it to do some new combat moves. :P That what you do has an effect on the party members is a good way to make your actions count for more than xp and loot gathering (and furthering the plot). Now, peer pressure will give you pause.

I hate the Manson song in some of the trailers. So out of place (even though I like music like that usually, something fantasy sounding would fit way better).

I really don't like how a lot of armors look on female characters, either. From the CC the only one that looked right to me was the Dwarf Nobles armor.

Yeah, I agree with that. Hopefully most of the armour is more along those lines. It's kind of hard to tell from the beginning armour. And if it's not, well, I'm used to it by now.

And I suspect that you'll only be able to zoom in and out with the mouse wheel. If that is true, it'll annoy me, since I don't have one, and I haven't yet found a left-handed trackball that does.

It's really rather hard to tell what things may or may not annoy me when I'm actually playing the game. I tend to be fairly hard to annoy in that respect.

I have a concern about the team AI -- they seem to do silly things like run through fire and bunch up around enemies. I'm wondering how the gameplay is going to work with so many huge AoE spells with predominantly charge and slash AI.

Day One DLC. If it's ready by then it should have been part of the base game.
