It bothers me a little what one random N7 squad can pull off when comparing it with Shepard & his/her team (which should be the most badass elite skilled team in the history of the galaxy), but ignore it as gameplay mechanics. Who would still play MP if we only have weak characters that can only, you know, fire their weapons.

Actually, the "random N7 squad" is pretty much statistically three times better than any particular squad member of Shepard's. (75 War Asset points as compared to 25) And rightfully so. They're player-controlled, which is the secret to most of Shep's power.
The only "game mechanics" are that you lose a whole class' worth of characters for a single promotion, due to exp being class-based, and not individual based.

On topic:
I confess to facepalming whenever someone doesn't get the more obscure game mechanics, such as lag-cancelling on the Smash ability, or how you can roll after landing from a drop to keep moving (unless you have an object of course)

Play   Batarian soldier  for stress relief  swinging that rifle with such vigor is some how satisfying .

play cerbrus vangaurd just for the fun of the whip melee .


Going phantom hunting with Krogan just to try melee kill  very successful too .

Meleeing a Ravenger to get covered in green goo .


Hoping I have better teamates than me when I have no medi-gel .

Liking Bronz better than silver or gold but fwgg more than should  .

Wishing there was a get your head out of my sights command for teamates .

I spend a considerable portion of my work day here, because when I'm home I'm too busy playing to bother with the forum.

I enjoyed the Ryncol Light, Phantom Hatred Poetry, and Turned On by Nemesese (sic) threads way too much. Not Jiggly, though, too many graphics for stealth browsing.

I have missed extractions due to the auto-cover.

Anyone who kicks me is missing out; I make it my mission to take care of as many objectives and revives as I can.

I physically stand over anyone tending to an objective and feel guilty if the enemy gets even one shot off on them.

I love the sound of biotic explosions. They're so satisfying.

i only made it to and finished the " cure the genophage" in SP and havent been past it.
so i still dont know how bad the ending is.

i like playing with newbies no matter the difficulty, saving them is like a challenging whole game objective. "you bastards killed my newbie, now im going to %$*# you with my bayonet!! "

i promote because i like playing a new build from scratch, not because i think N7 means anything.
also i feel like im losing money on character cards if i dont get the xp, so i will promote in fear of wasting xp.

i wont buy packs if my consumables are between 251- 254 , because i would have wasted them in my mind. even if i need medigel or rockets badly i will go play a bronze with the intent of using so many ammo or shield packs so i can get them down to 250. unless they are at 255 already.

im scared to play a krogan on R/R/G because of Geth Stunlock, it always trolls me with first game being Geth if i pick a Krogan.

i never use grab on FBWGG, always just kill everything before it gets that close or melee enemies.

the only thing i think that is OP in muliplayer is some peoples ego.

i actually like my eagle I on bronze... lol

i think every sniper rifle is valid on Gold, when i realized way back when what enemies to prioritize with which rifle.

i think iniltrators and AA are boring. not because they are OP like some claim, its just the sit back and camp play style that bugs me. no im not knocking people that like it either. nor am i saying they are or arent OP.

i have been playing Assassins creed revelations and Skyrim, since the match making has broken the game. stupid N7 3200+.

i cant wait for Guild wars 2 to come out.

i hate when people put kick on someone who just joined, even if their build or guns are weird. i use the live and learn moto, if we fail the universe isnt going to collapse in on itself.

Love this thread! Here I go :

- I'm ready to spend each and every Survival Ops pack in the first wave of a bronze game if needed. I'll never live the shame of going down at that moment.

- I love fighting Phantoms, Atlas, Brutes, Ravagers, Hunters and Pyros. Just because they are different.

- The ennemies that always kill me the most are Troopers (both Cerberus and Geth) and swarmers.

- I want more Turians. Lots and lots of them.

- I never sent a friend request to someone met in a public game. Never accepted one either.

- I am a great gold player against anything BUT the Geth. This includes White farming...

- I love Batarians and I don't like Quarians. I don't know why...

- I want a Crusader.

- I used to play too much
- I'm still missing a Hurricane
- I got an Eagle Pistol 3 times in a row in the last 3 packs and hate it
- I recently finally maxed out everything else that is not a promotional item
- There are only 3 weapons I use (not very often though) that are not ultra rares
- I love the Wraith X because it is awesome and has great weight/damage ratio
- When playing with a Sniper Rifle I quickscope most of the time and use it for CQC a lot

So far, I only play gold with my sniper-rifle wielding SI against Cerberus.

In those matches I always have the highest melee score of the team.

I use a Widow, but barely ever aim for the enemies' heads. They go down just fine when I hit the body and I usually don't manage to hit the head of a moving target (except guardians, of course).

I've gone down several times with the note that I commited suicide, but I DID NOT mean to do that.

I've recently unlocked the Drell vanguard (finally!), and am now taking him for test runs through Reaper/Bronze games, cartwheeling all over the place and charging/meleeing everything that moves. And I'm loving it!

But not as much as I love coming out of cloak and stabbing a phantom with my omni-blade. (See coment above!)

I like the new Phoenix classes, but could strangle the other players when they keep lashing away the target I had just lined up in my scope. 

The same goes for any biotic class really, when they constantly shake up my screen, causing me to miss.

One of my favorite maps is Condor. 

Every time a Vorcha player if flaming an enemy in my vicinity, I panic for a split second, thinking it's a Pyro that managed to sneak up on me. Even when we're not playing against Geth.

I'm not afraid of Banshees; against Reapers it's the Ravagers that are the bane of my existence. 

I wish turrets were a neon color, so that I wouldn't fail to see them so often when I come running to revive a fallen team mate.

I vastly prefer the regular AA to the AJA.

Even when we've already beaten the level 10 objective and I really don't need the xp, I will still continue to use survival packs, medi gels and missles to make the extraction, because I like to pretent we're a real squat fighting in the war and I want my team to make it out alive. 

I think that it's my job to do the objectives when I'm the only infiltrator on the team and will hurry to do so, so it annoys me to no end when someone else races across half the map to beat me to it. Dude, I can CLOAK! If someone has to sit out in the open, unable to defend against enemy fire, maybe it should be me.

My truthful confessions

-My first Infiltrator in multiplayer only had a few points in Tactical Cloak and I never used it because I thought it was lame and didn't want to be a rogue type character.

-I didn't know you could do fire explosions and cryo explosions until a week ago.

-The only reason I call the Valiant the best SR is because I need it's quick firing and quick reloading to be good at sniping.

-I occasionaly farm FBWGG even though I talk crap about and dislike hardcore farmers.

-I'm a revive-aholic, I will run out amongst the enemy crowd to get a teammate regardless if it gets me killed or the teammate immediately killed after standing up, I just can't help it.

-The enemy that kills me the most is swarmers, yes swarmers, especially on gold. I'm just so focused on the other enemies and the chaos that is going on, I always seem to miss these little creepy crawlers draining my health away.

-With the exception of the Reegar, I dislike all the shotguns, even the GPS.

-I enjoy random pugs and never stay in a lobby more than 1-2 games, I like the width of difficulty you can get from scrubs to badasses and I really love those moments when you get to see a noob become a hero for a match.

-I've played every character from lvl 1-20 except for the 6 new ones and the Drell Vanguard which I can't seem to unlock.

-I like playing as a Human Adept and I like the Singularity power.

-When I'm playing, I'm always listening to my ipod with the headphones on, completely ignoring the mic and anything my teammates say over my tv speakers.

-I hate Wrex, I know its not about mutiplayer but it needed to be said.

I hate all Salarians, thanks to the single player.

I keep my human vanguard leveled up all the time for that special occasion when someone's being a jerk and I need to follow them around and steal their kills.

I get mad if they leave before I can do that.

I feel superior to lower level N7 ratings, despite the fact that I was there at one point.

I also know that there are some people with much lower N7 ratings than me who are better. This doesn't stop me from judging randoms. I just feel guilt deep inside.

I still feel ashamed if a lower level N7 beats me.

I feel like I didn't do good if I don't get either the top or second spot.

The only class I don't get top or second spot is with the Infiltrator.

I hate the infiltrator.

I love the Engineer. A lot. Quarians and Geth are my favorites.

I lied. Vanguards are my guilty pleasure.

Krogans are immediately regarded as annoying. Gameplay will decide whether or not I change my opinion.

I refuse to get stomped. Even if you're a few feet away I'll medigel before I let that happen.

If I feel like I got myself into a stupid situation I'll medigel, even if you're just a few feet away. I feel the need to punish myself so I won't do it again.

I cannot keep Ops packs. It's impossible. If I buy a jumbo equipment pack those ops packs will be gone within the next map.

I've never geth farmed, but have survived numerous gold matches. This makes me exceedingly proud for some reason.

I've never geth farmed because I don't know how. I would love easy credits.

I'm also afraid to tell my friends that I want to try it. They think of it as cheating.

I think the nemesis' look like ducks. Irritating, giant ducks.

I would play the heck out of a phantom character.

I almost never play quickmatches. I will either play with friends or solo.

I will revive you. No matter what. If you're being stupid, I'll just follow you around and get my 15 revives. I feel like a hero when I do, so you'll have to deal with it.

If you miss the extraction for being stupid I'll kick you. Without question. You suck.

I love my Phalanx, and regularly see people switch to it after being in a match with me.

I have a mic but prefer not to use it unless I'm with friends. People scare me.

Realizing these secrets make me feel like a jerk. I'm sorry.

I got much more enjoyment than I should have from "Darksaberexile [Geth Turret] Turret" on my Geth engineer fighting Cerberus.

After the above, I made sure my turret was able to kill another Cerberus turret.

I had a friend help in the above goal by agreeing not to kill the turret himself.

- I have missed important deadlines at uni because of my addiction to multiplayer
- I only play public matches because I have no friends (My real-life friends don't play videogames at all)
- I gave my brother a copy of me3 for his birthday so I could play mp with him, but he hasn't played at all
- I watch matches on youtube and pretend I also have friends who play mass effect
- I think infiltrators/snipers are cool
- I am a horrible sniper...
- Everytime I try to play gold other than FBWGG I lose my connection, the hosting player leaves etc etc.
- I like playing human female engineer on silver, salarian engineer / infiltrator on gold
- I have a mic but I rarely speak and never hear anybody else speaking on PC
- I'm afraid people will think I am a 12year old kid when I talk on mic
- I'm in shock by "a load of stanton's" post in this thread....

EDIT:  - I am frustrated from not getting a black widow even though I have spend millions of credits on PSP's
 - Im hoping the black widow can somehow make up for my lousy sniping

I don't know how to purge the Foucault currents of the Fortification power and don't want to ask.

At least once every three games I will misunderstand that the hack objective is actually a 4 target objective and so will deliberatly not go anywhere near the hack circle for the first minute or so, all the time congratulating myself that I am not drawing aggro onto the infiltrator.

I don't use a mic so I don't have to deal with mysogynistic w4nk3rs, but secretly I am very glad I don't have one so I don't have to explain why I wasn't in the hack circle.

I sometimes forget the existence of cobra missiles until it's way way too late.

While running around stocking up on grenades at the end of a wave I tell myself I am being nice to the team by letting them have the satisfaction of the final kill.

I am way more scared of swarmers than any other reaper enemy.

I delight in solo bronze cerberus, always leaving a nemesis for the last of the wave, just so I can stand there and let her shoot me while I drink my morning coffee because my shields recharge faster than she can shoot.

I sometimes choose characters to play based on which is my current favourite armour design.

I would gladly pay money for more armour types and more character customisation.
