Single target. Another problem. The Lancer has the magazine capacity for you to take on several enemies at the same time, unlike the Claymore.

 

The Crusader has the right balance between magazine capacity and damage that most shotguns don't have. The range is also beneficial, however. It's also quite a lag friendly gun imo, which is nice. Most shotguns aren't.

 

Sounds like a L2p issue..

 

And stop using a shotgun like an assault rifle. Use a shotgun like a shotgun, which is up front and in your face. Complaining about a shotguns long range accuracy is just silly and makes about as much sense as saying that the widow sniper needs to be automatic.

 

Also you don't reload cancel with the claymore?

Oh, I don't use it like an assault rifle. The thing is, in a game where there are often many enemies in close proximity to each other, being only able to engage one at once is an immediate disadvantage.

Range is something to consider about weapons. Just like weight, magazine size, fire rate, ammunition capacity, damage, piercing and everything else. That's all I was saying.

 

Well, yes, you HAVE to reload cancel the Claymore. So in the few times I've used it, of course I have. The weapon is essentially dependent on it.

 

You do realise that we're kind of discussing a matter which boils down to personal preference, right? Therefore neither of us are wrong, and both of us are right. Henceforth, we should give it up as a bad job.

I don't think the Lancer has two separate barrels for shooting two enemies at once. At least not the lancer I got. And by the time you're finished with one enemy with the lancer, the guy with the claymore can finish four, eat a sandwich, watch some netflix and maybe take his dog for a walk. 

 

Of course it's all preferences, same with those guys who run sniper rifles on krogan, use the fury as a weapons platform, run melee juggs, stack piercing on the geth shotty etc. They're not wrong sure and hey if you're having fun and playing well, more power to you.

What I meant was that the Claymore can only engage one person at once. While it is possible to get more than one kill with the same shot, you will just spend your time hitting single targets the vast majority of the game because of the fact that it's magazine capacity is so low.

With the Lancer, however... for example, if there was a group of Cannibals or Husks heading in my direction, I could effectively murder them all at the same time. There is nothing stopping me from changing targets without stopping firing my weapon, which would be a problem with the Claymore.

I think the Lancer also has a higher DPS, even when considering reload cancelling. Not important, but informative.

u have powers, Use crowd control powers, If you don't have crowd control use a crowd control weapon, like the venom.

 

It's just comes down to preference really. don't bash guns just because you aren't used to them.

It's called "positioning" and "armour piercing".  Come at me bro (but preferably in a line)
