Yeah you're right, Xan is also always talking about how great that game is. Plus I couldn't sleep just now so I decided to play some me3 mp and found Kobo switching to DS again. It must be some hell of a game if everyone is playing it. I know my sister loves it too but I've also heard that it's a bit difficult and I don't like when a game is too difficult, I like to enjoy it without too many do overs.

Hmm, DS3 you say? May of been a different game they were talking about OWA. I'm pretty sure me, XAN and mex are the only AHF Souls fangirls as of now.  :P But yeah, sorry for bailing on you. Trying to get Platinum for DS and I'm missing about 5 trophies so my temptation has been high to get it done already since it's tedious as hell.

@Krogan, agree completely on everything. People need to stop gloating the series like it's artificially difficult and is impossible to beat. Most of your deaths are going to be from FromSoftware trolling and having us die by level designs. Remember Crystal Cave? FromSoft pls. >_>

I also agree on the PvP (minus the first Dark Souls' PvP, way too latency dependent and full of backstab fishing lagstabbers) I do feel bad for people who started the series on DS3. Poor hollows won't be getting the nostalgia us oldies will get when we see Anor Londo again or bosses based on prior bosses (i.e Abyss Watchers)

Mmk, enough of my fanboying. I would highly recommend it OWA, don't let the scrubs scare you away.

Another brief example of the glorious hitboxes that Biower can never implement.

Spoiler

OT: Ah yes, almost forgot about staying on topic. My first game in weeks today...I missed my GI. But not as much as I missed my Basscannon.

Lol did I mix up the games there? My bad, there's so many of them :D And it's alright Kobo, hope we can play soon though we never seem to get the chance to do so :)

OT: I have no confession right now.

The more I see of DS, the more I am convinced I wouldn't enjoy it. It's like they took all the bad parts of games I barely tolerated (for other, exceptional areas), and made a game out of it. Wife sees Diablo in it, I see DMC (The old ones, not that new knock-off) without the fun. I understand how people could like it, and how they like the polishedness (I can totally respect that), and the artstyle (I like dark and gloomy, Diablo 2 is still one of the best games ever made), just not my flavour when it comes to gameplay.

OT: In line with Nightman's horrible post. "What is underwear?" is all I have to say, and confess.

I'm worried because of this: "The Drupal Gardens service will shut down on August 1, 2016. This site will no longer be available after that time."

I will never be able to skill / equip my characters until August.

Speaking as the resident dark souls fangirl, yes you should try it out. It's not that hard really, in fact very rarely will you die because of a fault other than your own i.e no banshee magnetic hands or crab butt lazers or so. It's actually got a huge load of depth to its combat and yet is very precise. Just look at that hit box!

The levels are also very well designed, in fact devilishly so, the bosses are amazing in design and back lore, the story is great but told in a rather subtle way, you have options for some truly great co-op with even better pvp and the art design is just mindblowing. Oh and soundtrack is very moving as well!

The community, for all the pvp madness is pretty great as well and I've met a lot of pretty awesome players there. There's also tons of salty sailors but that's kind of the package and it can be funny sometimes. But despite all this praise, there's no guarantee that you'll like it of course, but it's worth a try at least Imho.

I'll stop fangirling and show myself out..

The dearth of save points is what I find annoyingly unpleasant.  I remember defeating Pinwheel in DS1 only to soon find myself in pitch black and surrounded by giant skeletons.  Got bumped off the edge and had to restart AAAALLLLLLLL the back to my much earlier bonfire.  I then realized I didn't give a crap about re-tracing my steps all over again.

I liked the combat.  I just need that sense of progress...where progress is mine to keep.

You do have a point there but I personally wouldn't want save points though. Of course it's rather convenient and does have its uses, ever had one of those moments where you had to pee urgently but couldn't because someone invaded your game and you were stuck half way through the level. A save point would've been pretty damn handy then.

But on the other hand the lack of save points is one of the core mechanics of the game and strangely one of the more memorable things of my time playing dark sous 1. Yes that might sound crazy but it made me play in ways I wouldn't have if I had a handy save point, to conserve every last flask of estus you can spare before you meet the boss or get to the next bonefire. I even ran out of estus a couple times while searching for the next bonefire and that feeling when you finally get to a new bonefire with an sliver of health is amazing.

I also died a lot and lost many souls like an idiot so it wasn't all glorious. But the no save point mechanic is something that adds to the souls experience Imo. It's also much better in ds2 and 3 where bonefires are more plentiful and in ds2, the enemies stop respawning after some tries.

Screw those skeletons in the dark though especially those skeleton archers. They were some cheesy trolling a-holes along with those bloody dogs. Although not as much as those goddamn anor londo silver knights! That bridge section with the archers is the only portion of the game that made me actually salty!

Screw dark souls.  It took me 16 hours to get thru the god damn undead burg.......   I couldnt beat that damn bridge troll...I faced him maybe 20 times in that time frame....until I decided screw it...I loaded up on like 30 incid grenades..I got him to climb up to the top of the tower where those 2 skeletons with bows were...and I danced in circles just chucking nades at him til he burned to death.  After that..I you tubed that fight to see what other people did to kill it......2 downward sword thrusts killed it.. I felt so stupid after watching people do that....I made it as far as across the bridge where the red dragon is guarding the door....to under that where a passage takes you to an invincible armored pig.... screw that game.

also, a confession.. I am drinking actual " cherry " juice....<---what the hell? never knew about this stuff before..I like it alot.

I thought you made an extra post just to say you hated it again.  But I get it, people like what they like. It'd be boring if everyone liked the same things right.

Also cherry juice? What does that even taste like?

^^^^^^^^^^^^  Its actually very tart.  like how some sour candy is...but in a juice form. I am actually really digging it.  Also, about dark souls....I still have it..but it just abused me so much, I couldnt really get into it. A few of you guys suggested on doing some co-op with it sometime to help me really figure out how the game actually works... I dont hate the game.....I hate the fact I couldnt get around it's learning curve like I do with every other game.

Oh I gotta try this now, I love sour candy! I don't think I have ever seen cherry juice cartons or anything so getting my hands on it might be difficult.

As for souls, yep co-op should be a huge help and would definitely help you improve. Or just screw it and play something else for a while and then come back to it later on if you're feeling like it. That actually works for me as I get better after the time off.

That basically nicely sums up my 10-hour experience with DS2. It took me an hour to find some description of controls since, you know, the keys for PC are not labeled, another hour to find, download, and install a patch/fix/mod for mouse and kb latency half of which did not work as advertised by the Nexus modder, and 6 hours to get to the first boss. Whom I struggled to beat for another 2 hours without much success. I then quit and never will play this silly no-no-you-cannot-save-because. Too annoying, too much bs, need to read/watch walkthrough as it is joint community effort and that spoils my experience and I don't like to play with spoilers. If I would want to run through the same area for 100 times, I better play ME3 multiplayer and do it as different characters with different weapons killing different enemies in company with different people and with much better controls and graphics. Cannot completely deny some similarity though. But there is too much repetition in DS2, way too much. Some people like it that way though. No problem with me, they can have their fun. Some people even still play DAI-MP and praise it.

You should try some good red grape juice. It tastes way better than any wine as long as you can find a good local brand. Cold Welch in small aluminum cans is not bad as a temporary substitute. Oceanspray is not that good IMO and anything in big jars is also quite bad.

Having a bit of alone time with your Turians is cool and all, but with three or four times the Turians? That's hot. Like, really hot.

Anytime we're on, we have time for Turianing with you. Watching those guys handling their guns and going down on each other over and over again, Oh My.

You are right. A picture is strengthened. What I find fascinating is that people have a more positive perception of this:

Rather than this awqJmva.jpg

If even a bacteria don't get any nutrition from this, and are avoiding that food- what are our chances of getting nutrition?

Directly feeding some with plastic probably won't meet with objection. Different people different tastes.

lol I do the same thing with gummi berries/bears/worms/etc. I like the texture better if they've been left in the air for a couple days.
