The DS Oni and Ev were talking about was Dead Space 3.

Oh no, I missed another Dark Souls circlejerk  :crying:
This is all true. I want to add that Dark Souls is one of those games that is simply not for everyone. Some people don't get sucked into the world (the lore isn't given to you on a silver plate) or just can't handle the difficulty. However if you do, this will easily be one of your favourite games of all time. I got hooked very early when I played Demon's Souls, and along ME3MP, DeS/DaS are two of the games that I always return to.

@Owa you might not like it, but I think it's worth a try. I just bought it on Steam too as it's 75% off, hoping that my laptop can run it.

OT: I haven't played ME3MP because DS2: SotFS is amazing. Cheers!

(PS: BSN needs a Dark Souls section so bad)

Xan. Pls.

And Fuen, you're right! It's always Xan's fault, ALWAYS!!!!!! :D

As the official cook of the house, I am taking a night off at eating at MeetYourNanny's place. Then, I might visit TeaKrogan, that sounded good, too.

You guys made me hungry with your delicious food.

Also, I totally understand Nightman's views. I prefer cookies/biscuits after a few days, I prefer them soft, wife prefers the hard and crumbly they come as. And certain seafoods (that I will simply define as "sea snot") are not eaten by me. However, I love (and miss) the Fish of Australia. I'm finding Salmon and Perch (I think that's what they are, my Finnish is not great) a little greasy for my tastes.

OT: I confess to not playing enough due to upload speeds, I'm picky about my connection speed.

I don't know what kind of system you have or if you've already researched this, but Dork Souls PC version is a pretty infamously crappy port.  It actually runs at far choppier framerates than DS3 does on my PC.

If your laptop can handle it you probably will want to download DSfix to make the game not look like crap and actually run at 60fps, and regardless of your system you'll also want DSCM running in the background so that the online components of the game actually work ... And then maybe PVP watchdog so you can autokick cheaters if they invade (which happens, but it's actually not that frequent in my experience).

if you already know all this disregard me, i'm dumb, but this can be taken as a general PSA if there's any BSNs on PC who do buy Dork Souls for the first time on PC, it being only five USD and all

---

OT,  I must confess that I like playing as a Turian more than other kits

Turian

I checked the Steam forum before buying the game and I downloaded all 3 of those. After that I had to find an actually working ps3 controller compatibility program, which took me 3 hours... Scp toolkit works perfectly.

I felt absolute satisfaction when I saw the remains of a Phantom spread and splattered on the White wall twice: Talon to the face, and later another with a Batarian punch.

I confess that I should be posting this in the SP forum, but I never go there, and this is multiplayer related, at least in the sense that it's a squadmate issue.  ;)

I accidentally killed Tali during the suicide mission in ME2 :o

It's never happened before, and I'm not quite sure what I did wrong - she was in the tunnels as usual, but then got shot in the doorway, similarly to how Miranda always gets shot later. Miranda survived, despite not being loyal, but loyal Tali died. I was playing on Insanity as an Engineer, and had Grunt and Zaeed with me, and a full loyal team (other than Miranda) who I put in charge of the other team. Everyone (including the entire crew - Chakwas, Kelly, Ken, Gabby, and all the other principals) but Tali made it out alive. I could go back and do it again, but never having imported a character to ME3 without Tali, I'm tempted to see what it's like. Rubbish, obviously, but still, it's something I've never experienced so I might try it.

My MP confession is that I'm counting the days till my internet gets fixed and upgraded next week.  :)

On the first, oh yeah, I know

As for the second, it wasn't that - she was loyal and, erm, fully upgraded. I'm beginning to suspect she just died from jealousy, as my Male Shep had finally tamed a certain tattooed Biotic, after having flirted with Tali to the point of non-exclusivity.

Loyalty Mission alone isn't enough to ensure a character's survival.  I don't recall the specifics, but there is a sort of "galactic readiness" scoring system, and each character has a survival threshold against that score.  Characters like Grunt and Garrus have a a lower threshold than characters like Jack or Tali, meaning Grunt and Garrus would survive even at low readiness scores, where Jack or Tali would not.

Blame Miranda

if the squad leader of the other team is not loyal the tunnel person always dies at the doorway, since the other squad doesn't make it to provide cover fire in time, or something

in other words Tali would have lived if you would have picked the Turian

not to rub it in or anything

edit: my confession is that even though it's been about 3 years since I've played ME2 I  still remember all the Suicide Mission mechanics and this is knowledge that helps me in my daily life

ANDRAMADA forum scares me. It's amazing what people care about. I'm just going to go on about my business for nearly another year and have a look at the game when it comes out. Hopefully it's good.

That said, I used to be an SP nerd and actually did the math behind the Suicide Mission back in 2010 (below). I actually spoke out against MP in Mass Effect - how wrong I was

Blame Miranda

Thanks for the explanations from all you guys - I guess the bit I've quoted back just about sums it up best - it was all the damn cheerleader's fault! Her loyalty mission was the last thing I did, which triggered her fight with Jack. I was expecting to have the blue paragon option to calm them down, but didn't get it, and sided with Jack due to my romantic intentions. My paragon meter appeared full, and had been high enough to talk Zaeed round on his loyalty mission, but not those two apparently. I really think if they remastered that game they should expand the dialogue options to include something along the lines of, "Hey now you two, why can't we all play nice.......together?;)

Anyway, I can assure you that when I reload my save file and get to the bit where the cheerleader cries, "Me, Shepard, Me!" I will laugh like Putin and, as you say, leave things in the capable hands of the Turian.  :D

If it makes you feel any better, I felt exactly the same.

And then, because ME3MP was so good, I was really hyped for DAIMP.  I do not have a good track record.

You really want to know why you couldn't break up the fight?

Spoiler

Or, you could just assume Miranda was jealous of your relationship with Jack. You've seen all those camera angles when you talk with her.

Swarmers are bad... I only realized a week ago I didnt have to kill them all haha... I had a dream that swarmers were under my skin a few weeks ago and it was awful :(

I confess that yesterday using the Claymore I kept clenching my jaw whenever I fired for some reason... I dont know why I did that ;)

I once dreamed that I was in my bathroom (though it wasn't my apartment, but whatever) and I knew/heard a Geth Prime was on the way to get me... so I prepared myself (had no weapon though, only hoped that I'd be able to use powers...)
