Mmm... the Punisher sounds very bloodletter-ish, so you have to pass that one up. I don't know. Maybe the Ashwarp since it was my original Reaper weapon? Scroll through the thread anyway to find a gun.

I think the two are different enough that I can design the Bloodletter. Punisher has a medium size clip, and fires AP rounds every 8 rounds, whereas the Bloodletter has a low clip size, but deals immense burst damage due to its high damage and rate of fire.

I found it odd that salarians in MP get a bonus to sniper rifles, yet the game doesn't have a single example of a salarian sniper rifle, and the two STG members we encounter, mordin and kirrahe (not including background dudes like those aiming their guns at your "krogan leader of choice"), don't use them but prefer sidearms like pistols and SMG's. Isn't like 50%+ of their military belong to the infiltrator class?

Had an idea for an assualt rifle: the M-143 Desperation

Description:
Designed and built on a civillian colony facing the immiment reaper invasion the local police force designed a simple to use, accurate, sustained fire assault rifle. The colonists had basic training over two days before the reaper hordes arrived. When rescue arrived almost all of the colonists had survied against the reapers. The M-142 is now being sent out to frontline troops across the galaxy.

Basic Concept:
Low to Low-Medium recoil
moderate to high accuracy
low damage
low to medium firerate
Highest capacity weapon in the game, ~200 is what I planned with 200 being the max
Most 'forgiving' weapon for missing a shot due to design for minimal training to use, negligable recoil and large clip

Design Concept:
It should look like a redesign of a weapon hastily designed and produced with unusal materials.

I'm open to criticism and stat suggestions as I doubt a 200-round clip is goin to go down well.

Your M-333 Beam thread has inspired an SMG design based off it, just need a better computer drawing program or a better drawer. I'll think of a description later.

Just throwing around ideas to everyone here.

Since we got the Blood Pack Punisher does that mean we might get more Merc-created weapons? I think my M-62 Arachnid could be redesigned for Eclipse and maybe a shotgun/assualt rifle for a Blue Suns weapon?

How about a very large flashlight that goes in the pistol slot to provide a melee bonus, [not a flashlight attachment, just a flashlight] and a mall-cop uniform for Turian Soldier? The two seem to share the same level of mobility.

Got an idea for a Salarian Shotgun, which is what I thought the Piranha was going to be. Image IPB

I present: the Tarantula Shotgun

Desciption:
A Salarian shotgun based off the sucess of the Scorpion pistol. The Tarantula uses similar technology and ammunition. It fires 5 miniature squash-head projectiles instead of 1, although weaker than a single Scorpion bolt it is much more effective against multiple targets.

Basic Concept:
An Ultra-rare, explosive, crowd control shotgun
Medium weight  ~GPS/Graal weight
3/5 rounds in a clip with 15/20 spare at I 24/35 at X
Firerate- Katana (60)
Damage- 150(750) at I, 200(1000) at X
Accuracy- Better than regular shotguns, ~GPS maybe, less than Graal
Retains ability to apply ammo effects on contact
The projectiles have a lower stagger on contact but three on a target give a garaunteed stagger like the scorpion

Basic Design:
A bigger, bulkier version of the Scorpion

Criticism and suggestions are welcome.

It would need nasty spread to make up for all those, but your stats are getting better. ^_^

The Vindicators firing delay makes its rate of fire closer to 250RPM. It fires two, three round bursts per second. (3 rounds at 550 RPM takes about .33 seconds, and the Vindicator has a fixed firing delay of .25 seconds. So a little over half a will fire 3 rounds.)

I would recommend something like..... 335 RPM, and 65-78 damage per bullet. If it is suppose to be a Vindicator competitor.

The Vindicator, with burst delay caluclated, only hits for about 447 DPS...

So a gun of the same accuracy and weight (While not having the inconvinience of burst fire,) would be rather weak.

A low-no burst DPS, barely worse sustained DPS gun?

Odds are, it would be a terrible weapon.

Low damage+Low fire rate does not equal a weapon that works well in the ME3 MP metagame, much less ME3.

The GPR has a large magazine.

Does this make it good <_
