That dress was already in Shepard's cabin when she came onboard seeing as there would have been no time to buy anything because Earth was being attacked, so it belonged to whoever occupied that cabin before her.

I love the awkwardness behind FemShep being not able to pick a dress that would suit her pear figure.

Nice, I like that jacket.
The dress wouldn't be bad if the movement animations reflected on it. But the dress with that walk and sitting and move... brr like a really bad crossdresser.
And besides, the dress in ME2 Kasumi DLC was better. Nothing wrong with some sex-appeal and showing off, but with the jewelry and style... doesn't cut.

It's better than the dress, but I would rather have something feminine. I liked ME2's LBD, and if you give femshep manshep's distinct outfit then she has nothing feminine at all. It's all androgynous/masculine uniforms.

God, I hate that dress. It just doesn't work. It's almost like Bioware is saying that Femshep is too awkward to find herself something that would actually fit her figure.... Then again, much of the blame is on Femshep not getting her own animations. She sits like a man a lot and in that dress? Blech, not attractive in the slightest.

The jacket is cool and I would love it. It fits both Manshep and Femshep's cool side, but Femshep needs some feminine wear that would actually work.

So after poking round coalesced.bin for a bit I figured out how to get the n7 jacket for femShep. Enjoy! 

Obviously it's just the female head on the male's body and it doesn't work at all but it's kinda funny.

Also check out broShep with the cocktail dress which I thought would be funny but turned out pretty... nightmareish.

What CO walks around her ship in the middle of war time in a leather jacket?  Or a hoodie?  Or whatever that brown outfit is?

There's a big difference between a hoodie and a dress. Sure, even wearing a hoodie is pushing it but, c'mon, a cocktail dress? Seriously?
