I would love to see a Mass Effect mmorpg. It has everything an mmo needs, different races, tons of locations, massive inventory. But I think mmos are a dieing bread unfortuneately. Almost every one that hits the shelf takes a nose dive.

But I have to agree. Seeing how TOR turned out. I'm not sure Bioware and EA know what they're doing with mmos. I'd rather see if they learned from their mistakes by creating an entirely new franchise for an mmo before they even thought about doing it with ME.

And an RTS, **** yeah!

I say yes because I love MMORPGs. I say no because I love Mass Effect and after seeing what they did with TOR, I don't believe they're capable of making an MMO that does the series justice.

think about it. all the mmo's are magic and swords. none are shooters. mass effect is a rich sci-fi universe perfect for the mmo experience. theres a big niche out there in the market for this a sci-fi shooter mmorpg. theres nothing else that would be quite like it.

its an opportunity to advance the mass effect universe if set post reaper invasion. theres so much potential, the mass  relays and citadel being rebuilt. the resurgent krogan, the geth and quarians working togeather, homeless batarians, worlds being rebuilt. ( i assume the best possible outcommes as people all have their favourite characters) the potential for story threads is huge!

think of the fanbase, all of us that enjoy getting sucked into the immersive story, who love the multiplayer. think of all the work done developing multiplayer characters, all the maps and locations from the campaign, the game engine and the universe itself. look at how attatched people are, the fuss kicked up about the ending. and all the people hooked on the multiplayer.

go on you know what needs to be done!!

Why? They can't even fix Mass Effect 3 .... Imagine how badly broken a Mass Effect MMO would be ....

I mean imagine the news the fallowing day:
Mass Effect MMo worst game ever after a great portion of the audiance tried to play the vangaurd class and they all floated into outerspace and couldn't play the game anymore. BioWare promisses fixes but we all remember how that worked with Mass Effect 3 (they never came).

It would be awesome if they could actually make a good MMO out of the mass effect universe. However they can't and I will NOT under ANY circumstance pay for a monthly subscription unless I could find a six month subscription card in my local game shops because I don't trust credit companies (in Norway we don't have those cards so the only MMOs I will ever play are Runescape and Guild Wars 2).

I dont know about a TRUE mmorpg setup but MP would be fun if we had little group campaigns , maybe a little instanced area you could host and invite friends into for chilling while what campaign to play is chosen.

Hell could even add vanity items to said 'chill room' so the host could show off the crap they have earned/found. Of course all of this sounds very complicated, we don't even have a mostly bug free game, let alone stuff like the "extended DLC" or relatively easy (key word: relatively) stuff like female turians/salarians but who knows what bioware will do after ME3 has been laying around a year or so.

How bout something more sandbox where I can be a different race and decide if I want to be a pirate, or a merc or join the military. I love the ME universe and would like even more control of my story and character. It would be cool be be so far in the ME future the npc's talked about "the shepard" like he/she is some kind of legend or myth.
