Check Planescape : Torment. It was amazing and still is. Because no one made a comic, a movie or a MMO of it, not even a sequel which would probably be crap too.

I think they could start it off just after the destruction of the Reapers. You would have places like Earth, Mars and bases on other moons to start with. With relays destroyed goal would be to start rebuilding them. There are plenty of dead reapers around I am sure with all races they could figure out how to salvage them to build relays. Players would have to limit time in reapers while looking for tech or get indoctrinated. We know from the 2nd game dead reapers still can indoctrinate. As goals are completed more areas of the galaxy would be opened up.
For combat players would have remaining reaper ground forces to deal with. We know there are indoctrinated people they could have forces to keep you away from the fallen reapers. Cerberus would be trying to kill other alien races on earth. And you could have mercenary forces fighting each other.
I think it could be done. But not holding my breath.

I would LOVE it, I made a forum post already on it.. Please check it out people. http://social.biowar...ndex/13003493/1 The best way to reach bioware is by the community. We need to make them aware and push this MMORPG idea. Just imagine flying your own ship, living on the citadel, partying at purgatory at night, having intense battles with other players.. and MUCH more! >_< I'd cancel my wow sub in a heartbeat for it all. They're already getting experience on MMO's with Star Wars: The Old Republic. The possibilities are too large not to try!
the prohibitive cost of producing an mmo, especially on the heals of one that already set them back over a hundred million makes this pretty unlikely. Swtor is dropping subs at an alarming rate, I mean , have you played it?
bioware's forte' is single player rpg's , they should focus on what they are good at.
they can not even balance a coop game with only three enemy factions. Attempts at balancing pvp in an mmo would have them jumping out of windows.

No.
Addendum: Average production cost for an MMORPG is somewhear near $150 million. Waste of money, will ruin the appeal of the ME series and the scope of the story progression through a timeline.

The market is already saturated with MMORPG's. Just look at how many of them are going the so called free to play direction.

This. I loved the KOTOR games. When Bioware first announced that they were making an MMO, I about cried becasue I was sure they were going to make KOTOR 3
So no to MMO's.

MMO's ruin all series. Just look at WoW and Tor. Tor gave EA worst company of 2012, worse than all those mega-corporations that exploit people and steal missions and destroy the planet.
If a Mass Effect MMO "ruined" the series in the same manner of what WoW did to Warcraft, then I would love a Mass Effect MMO.
Because I'm pretty sure being the most successful subscription MMO for 7 and a half years doesn't count as ruining anything.
It's also kind of hard to ruin star wars at this point, just saying =P
Yeah, but WoW did ruin a lot of the Warcraft series story, you could argue it didn't but everyone knows that the story would have been so much better with WC4.

Thankfully - Bioware won't do this - at least not for several years as it would be in direct competition w/ TOR.
Bioware - if you ever get to the point where you want to do a ME MMO - please just come up w/ a new universe and do it there - don't soil this one.(again.)

I could agree with that. Something along the lines of EVE Online, but with the ability to actually leave the ship and walk around on a few of the maps (Illium, Noveria, Thessia, etc). Set up an economy, allow establishment of colonies... could be fun.
